Booked on the 28/29 of june 2025. You can only check inn at 16 00 and depart at 10 00 am Firstly on arrivall we were informed that there is no wifi in our rooms yet it was advertised free wifi. There was no water and we had to use 20l drums to use the toilet and hours later someone came to fix. Tv and dstv never worked. Heater was only for 1 person. Taps in the bathroom was loose towel hangers broken plug point burnt and fire extinguisher missing. Reception very little help. Activities were great. But they cancelled 1 Activity yet we paid for it and refused a refund just said sorry we cant help . Very poor service. R8900 for 2 nights 5600 for Activities four ppl

If I had my way I wouldn't even give them 1 star... I booked for 2 units at Afriski for a 4 and a 6 sleeper on the 03/05/2024. R8 986.10 for the 4 sleeper and R16 542.60 for the 6 sleeper. I was sent confirmation and booking confirmation. I paid 50% of each unit and everything was fine(R 4 493.05 and R8271.30) making the balance R12 764035.... A few days before we were due to travel they sent the links for payment. I just paid without checking.. I paid the R12 764.35(correct amount due) and mistakenly paid R4 493.05 as well... We ended up not even going there(family emergency)... For that I am not even asking for a refund... I am asking a refund for the extra R4 493.05 that I overpaid.. Now all of a sudden I am told that no I actually I booked for an 8 sleeper... There's nowhere in my communication nor paperwork where it is showing me having booked an 8 sleeper. So I am not sure where Tumelo is getting the 8 sleeper all of a sudden. I have sent emails upon emails and proof of all of this.. At this point I will never go to Afriski. Last year in 2023 I went to a place called Oxbow.. I wish I had just booked with them again as they were soooo friendly and have a cosy and cheap accommodation.. Afriski is a big NO NO for me .

I booked via booking.com last year June for this year June 2024. I booked a 3bedroom apartment in afri ski as the trip was planned for 3couples. Only to get there and we were given 2rooms with no accountability or apology, the receptionist advised that we talk to booking.com as its not their problem, we asked to talk to the Manager ‘Mmapuseletso’ who was very rude and did not even want to address us. This is the worst property to book from and the people who work here are very mean from the supervisor ‘Mmakananelo to the Manager ‘Mmapuseletso’ these people should not be put in managerial positions if they cant help customers

I am absolutely LIVID and appalled by the customer service at Afriski. I have been trying to get a refund for my ski package due to unforeseen circumstances that prevent me from visiting the resort, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Here's what happened: I called the office yesterday to request a cancellation and refund for my ski packages. Two different ladies at the bookings' reception took my details and assured me they would call me back. Surprise, surprise – no one called back just radio silence. After making two follow-up calls, I still received no response. It seems like they are intentionally avoiding my calls and emails. When I finally received an email response, all I got was a curt "Unfortunately we do not offer refunds." No consideration for my situation, no attempt to offer a solution, just a flat-out refusal. Where's the customer service? Where's the understanding? This is beyond frustrating and unprofessional. I understand that businesses have policies, but the complete lack of communication and empathy is unacceptable. If a business can't be flexible and considerate during unforeseen circumstances, what does that say about their values and how they treat their customers? So, here I am, with a cancelled trip and NO REFUND from Afriski. They can't be bothered to answer calls, reply to emails, or even consider my situation. This is the kind of service you get from Afriski? UNBELIEVABLE! To anyone considering booking with them, RUN! Don't risk getting stuck with them and your money if things don't go according to plan! They clearly don't care about their customers! I am left with no choice but to escalate this matter further.

So so so much FUN! I was absolutely terrible at it 😂 but you know what they say “Practice makes perfect”! I would love to come through again and spend a good weekend and not just a day. Prices are reasonable and the packages are even better! Skis and gear are clean and well maintained!!!

Once I enjoyed this place. Now it's so, so bad, but ALSO they took our money, allocated our booking unilaterally at short notice to a time nobody could make AND THE SLOPE WASN'T EVEN OPEN, then were completely uncontactable via phone or email, and THEN they say "there's nothing we can do". AVOID.

On May 1st 2019, my father passed away after a consecutive string of strokes that lasted 2 years, leaving my mother a widow, looking after my uncle who sustained a brain injury and requires continuous care, subsequently diagnosed with colon cancer which he recovered from however there is extra care needed. My mother cares deeply for people and tries her utmost to find the positive in every situation. She has dedicated her whole life to meet the needs of everyone else, side-lining her happiness for others. After much persuasion my mother decided to go on a holiday to clear her head and make time for herself. She asked my aunt if she would go with her to Tiffandales, which she agreed to and last minute pulled out. So my mother asked her friend to come who agreed. My mother was set to travel. She was not left a life insurance policy of any sorts and has a minimum earning wage, yet decided to save up and pay monthly contributions to this Tiffandale ski resort she paid upwards of R11000 directly to the Tiffandale’s ski Resort group, however COVID hit the following year and the borders and all activities shut down. She was assured that the holiday she had paid for could be rescheduled and that the following winter she would be able to take the opportunity to visit. The owners however stopped responding to her calls and mails and soon she was out R11000 and de*****ed by the resort. My mother has accepted this injustice up until now 2023 she hasn’t been on that holiday and has not even received so much as an apology from this resort. When people complain about things on Hello Peter I always think that some of those people just enjoy complaining, and take the effort to complain but never acknowledge positives in the business world. I have no power to do anything but it is a relief to just let some of the frustration out and maybe expose what truly hides behind the “yes sir smiles, prancing around that hotel”.

Afriski specifically asked for a review via a link on another platform, so as I've done the effort, I just copied it & post it here as well: Staff are friendly & the unit is clean. Checking in at 13:00 takes an hour & by 16:00 units are not cleaned yet. The TV & some heaters are broken & don't have gas. Cutlery are dirty & limited. Garbage lies outside below the windows. There is no wifi, wood or charcoal & no food at the restaurant except cheese sandwiches. Amenities, buildings, walkways etc are broken & not maintained. Restaurant toilets are broken & dirty with cigarette buds & apparent faeces on the floor. Drunk guests at the restaurant at 15:00 are bothering & uncomfortable to families. But the kids wanted to see snow, so mission accomplished. But for that, given the above & their prices rather stay at Oxbow or Sani. And for skiing go to Europe.
