I am extremely disappointed with the service received from Alpha Insure. We insured our business TV equipment for approximately R69,000, and when one of the TVs broke, the initial offer made to us was only R10,000. That amount was completely unreasonable considering the insured value of the item. After refusing to accept such a low payout, we were then told that a replacement would be arranged through another company. However, we are now expected to accept delivery of equipment without any proper assurance that it is the correct specification, in good condition, or even fully functional. To make matters worse, we are apparently expected to carry the risk if the replacement arrives damaged, incomplete, incorrect, or faulty. On top of that, Alpha Insure now expects us to pay the excess before the replacement is even delivered. That is completely unacceptable. We are not prepared to pay an excess upfront for equipment that we have not inspected, tested, or even received yet. Deliver the correct replacement screen first, ensure that it is working properly, and then the excess can be paid. This is unacceptable. As a paying client, I would expect an insurance company to take responsibility for ensuring that a valid claim is settled fairly and professionally, without shifting the risk and inconvenience onto the customer. The entire process has been frustrating, stressful, and poorly handled. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Alpha Insure to other business owners looking for reliable insurance cover.

I took out insurance for my BMW X3 with Alpha Insurance. In 2023 I was involved in a motor hijacking in Tembisa. Hijackers took my car and left me in the bushes. I opened a case with SAPS and the case was handled by DPCI. My car was later recovered by SAPS in a roadblock and it had bullet riddles around it. Alpha Insurance refused to do anything about my hijacker and constantly told me that SAPS is investigating. I approached lawyers the first time- Alpha was not cooperative or helpful to them- always telling my lawyers that the matter is with the Hawks. In 2025 I got new lawyers who wrote to Alpha demanding to know about my car and when they would repair it. My lawyers told Alpha that the Hawks investigation was long concluded. Alpha kept on hiding behind the Hawks investigation to delay or frustrate my claim. Eventually after my lawyers letter of demand Alpha Insurabce agreed to fix my car. This was in April 2025. Alpha booked my car for repairs at BMW Northcliff since then. Up to now my car is still with BMW Northcliff and they have done very little to no work. Alpha and BMW now claim the car has no head unit and that it was taken by the hawks during their investigation. Alpha Insurance now wants me to be the one getting the head unit from the Hawks when that is their responsibility as insurer. In emails to my lawyers Alpha Insurance has said thee only thing delaying and missing is the head unit. They have done absolutely nothing about the head unit. They have not even made attempts to contact the hawks or Crash Group. Email from their lawyer, Ryan Da Silva said they are not responsible for the delays in my car or the head unit. I’ve been without a car since 2023 and I have been paying my insurance premium every month without fail. I’m a medical doctor who’s paying for a car I don’t have. Alpha Insurance has never even bothered to give me alternative transport. This is very very bad insurance. Please stay away from them. I have since taken my case to the ombudsman.

I have had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with Thuleka Maphangwana during my claims process. She has been consistently unresponsive — my calls go unanswered, my emails are ignored, and there has been no follow-up from her side at all. My vehicle was damaged when one of their clients drove into it. I submitted every document they requested, and I even received written confirmation that my claim would be paid out. Despite this, I still have not been paid, and I have received no meaningful updates or assistance. I have been forced to chase for information repeatedly, with absolutely no support. The lack of communication, responsiveness, and accountability is unacceptable. I am extremely dissatisfied with how my claim has been handled and feel completely let down by the service I have received.

I am glad I am not the only one who thinks that your employees drive like idiots, surely you would think that driving a marked company vehicle with a unique registration number would make them drive like normal people. This is not the first time I have seen one of your vehicles driving like they own the road, but it was the first time that it affected me directly. Registration number "ALPHA 19 GP", drove like a complete idiot, while on the phone I might add, no indicators when suddenly changing lanes, driving on top of other cars who do not drive fast enough according to them etc. I did not even know anything about Alpha until today when I was looking for your contact details, I have to say that it was not a good first impression, and I assume will not be for other potential clients who will associate your company with how your employees, with company vehicles, behave on the road and towards other drivers.

My complaint is not against the company however against one of their collogues that drives like a crazy person in peak hours! I was on my way to collect my grand children when the person driving the bakkie with number plate ALHPA 41 was getting irritated with me by keeping to the speed limit. This is in Bedfordview between townhomes with speed humps, dude...how fast do you want to go over a speedhump, then you still give me a foul look because I was not speeding. This is obviously a company vehicle so you suppose you dont care. It is a pity there is no email address to write directly to the company regardign complaints as I believe this is not the first time you have done this to other drivers in the area. As my offices are also in Bedfordview. Perhaps you should rethink you actions when driving a company vehicle.

I am typing this with the assistance of my daughter as I am a 69 years old lady. Who an insurance company called Alpha Insure, is trying to take advantage off. So I have an apartment at Park Avenue in Bloemfontein. The complex is managed by National Real Estate. So we all know that a couple of months ago, the country experience heavy rains. These heavy rains led to a roof leaks at the complex block where my apartment is. The leak led to a stain on the ceiling and the ceiling got damaged. As I should I told the care taker who also confirmed that alot other apartments were also affected and that I should claim with the managing agency NRE. Which I did with claim number ALPHA89373 . They sent out an assessor to evaluate. Which the person who evaluated, took down all the ceiling structure, and confirmed that they will come back in a few weeks to put up the new ceiling. Months went by, with no feedback. I then followed up with NRE, to my surprise I was told that my claim is rejected based on the assessor saying the damage wasn't caused by the leak in the roof and also the response that the NRE received was that there was no assessment done which there was as also confirmed by the agent Johan with NRE. So my question was, why did he say he will come back to finish he job? Why did he take down the whole ceiling structure if he was not going to finish the job. Meaning he damaged the ceiling even further. Again, why did I have to continuously follow up while they damn well know that they will not help me. Is it because I am a pensioner and no one can fight for me? I am furious. I pay my levies on time every month. For them to treat me like a no body.

It has now been four days since my geyser burst, and my geyser has yet to be replaced. Four different plumbing companies have been sent out to assess the situation, yet none have been able to replace a 150L geyser. This has been an extremely frustrating and, frankly, bewildering experience. I am struggling to understand how such a basic replacement task has become such a challenge. Is the procurement manager of the company sourcing plumbers who are not qualified or equipped to handle such tasks?

<div>The Service from the insurance is very disappointing and frustrating at the same time!!! I put in a claim for a burst geyser, washing machine, and tumble dryer on 03/09/2023. The geyser was sorted out, and regarding the other items I was told that it was never serviced. I never knew that it was a car that needed a service and nowhere in the policy schedule does it say such. On 29/05/2024 I put in another claim for my TV with a video attached to the broker. On 04/06/2024 I received a call from a guy saying they are collecting the TV for assessment. Today she calls me saying that will not be replacing or fixing the TV because it was not lightning or power surge there is a unit that is broken the only thing that she can do is get another assessor or the claim can be rejected or canceled, I told her I am not happy with the feedback that she is giving me I want a solution. We pay insurance every month and there are no problems when the money is collected from our accounts but the minute, we CLAIM there is always a problem, I AM FED UP WITH THIS SERVICE DELIVERY!!!</div>
