The recliners that are made there is bad material (leather) and has to be fixed regularly. The last one was not even fixed where it was teared. We are pensioners and bought 2 recliners for R20000. Thought it would be a good brand and investment, but no.... They also do not reply on my emails. SUSAN STRAUSS

I am really disappointed with the service received from the customer service lady and her Manager regarding a problem I have with a single chair on one of their Madison full leather suite. We purchased a full Madison from UFO around 20 years ago after about 18 years we got a small tear on the headrest, about half the way down. Contacted Alpine in Capetown who gave me their repair agent in Johannesburg. The repair was so bad I got rid of the whole lounge suite and bought 2 single chairs, the same is starting on one of the chairs, getting a tear, called the customer services found them rude, not willing to discuss, I asked for the manager who told me they only warrant their leather for 2 years, so it is no longer their problem, done even want to send out one of their reps to have a look and give me the reason why I have had 2 chairs doing the same. I for one will NEVER buy another Alpine Leather Product.

I bought a leather lounge suite Sept 2022 and now the foot rest is flaking off. House and Home, where I bought it, try to assist but according to Alpine, I have used a product on the suite. They do not reply on my request to contact me and come and have a look at the suite, they just ignore me. If I have used something on the suite, the other parts of the set would have shown the same problem? To be expected, they've got their money and I am R40 000.00 down the drain because of very poor after sales service, or maybe it is a poor product, but again for that amount of money, you will expect quality.

On the 14/07/2020 my father bought a Empire Lounge Suite. Do LA-Z-Boy discriminated against white people, Problem was reported!!!!!!!!! Can the CEO of the company please get back to us. THis is now since 20/07/2022

We bought couches at the Matress Gallery Shop in Clearwater Mall (Alpine Couched) and to some people R25 000 might not be a lot of money but to us it makes a difference. We paid cash for our couches got them delivered and 2 weeks after that the stitches came out the 1st couch (3 seater) Alpine Furniture/ Couches collected and after several phone calls only brought it back after 4 weeks! Then they collected the 2 seater couches same problem stitching and yesterday dropped it back off. Alpine actually stitched the 2 seater with black thread (the couches is grey) and you can see the horrible stitch work on the outside. The couch is supposed to have velcro at the back to hold a flap of material that covers the back of the couch but they took the velcro off now we have a flap hanging at the back of the couch. They also had to take the 1 seater because the mechanism of the Lazy boy is broken... I had the whole set for 2 weeks after purchase... the rest of the time I had 2 of the 3 piece lounge suite. I asked them in very crude language to fetch the couches and shove it where the sun does not shine!! I have never had such bad service in my life and the workmanship on this Lounge Suite is unbelievably ****py!!

We bought an Alpine lounge suite from Rochester furniture Cornubia and the service we have had from both Rochester and Alpine is an absolute discrace, we have nothing but frustration in getting our lounge suite repaired Please be very wary of buying from these businesses.

So . . . . . . . . . . . . . I received my La-Z-Boy back from warranty repairs, after waiting two weeks for them to come collect it and then after a huge effort on my part, it was finally repaired and returned 3 weeks after the collection (Claim submitted 29 May, collected on 15 June and returned on 7 July). Luckily I decided to check up on the repair, as the poor workmanship during reassembly is noticed. In fact the exact same poor assembly that originally caused the mechanism to wear is evident again. Parts totally misaligned!! Seriously the guys, the one chair is assembled correctly and the other not - do you not have some sort of quality control in place? Repair No. LB-174307. Speaking to Lebo at Masons Benoni does not help as her response is that I must now deal directly with your repair department. The only problem is Marius does not answer his phone (011) 661-1300 Corrective Action - please send a tech to my premises to correctly align the mechanical mechanism asap!!

On 15 June 2021, Alpine Lounge collected my La-Z-Boy recliners that required replacement of the mechanical mechanism (10 year limited warranty), Not sure why it had to go to the factory for replacement, as I believe the parts could have been replaced on site. Since then I have had no communication regarding the progress of the repairs (via Masons Benoni - the Supplier, I received all kinds of contradicting feedback from it is ready for re-delivery (a week ago) to, it is still in repair). Extremely poor service for R26K furniture.
