I am thoroughly disappointed with the service provided by Appliance King, also known as Inkosi Repair, and its owner, Mohamed. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone against dealing with this individual or his company, especially for critical matters involving insurance claims or appliance repairs. Unprofessional Conduct and Faulty Assessment Initial Meeting and Misrepresentation: Mohamed initially presented himself as polite and professional when meeting in person. However, this facade quickly fell apart once his assessment and reports were submitted to my insurer, Discovery Insure. Incorrect Report on Surge Damage: After a major power surge at my residence in Isipingo Hills, several of my appliances, including: TV (non-functional) powers on says its ware and tare or no issues yet it worked before the surge Soundbar (damaged) powers on no sound seems the speakers bust and internal boards on main bar Fridges (non-cooling) and 1 is not powering its valued at R95 000.00 from hirschs Freezers (spoiled stock) also stopped cooling and freezing CCTV units (burnt and damaged) claims work is not to electrical standards when all work was removed by another of discovery teams for assessment and was not put properly and now the units don't work at all internal boards have damages the eye cant see and now rendered unusable and needs replacements Despite clear evidence of damage caused by the surge (including visible burn marks and failure to function), Mohamed's report attributed all these issues to "wear and tear." This conclusion was not only inaccurate but also illogical, as these items were in perfect working condition before the surge. Discovery's Rejection of Contents Claim: Due to Mohamed's flawed report, my entire contents claim—amounting to nearly R200,000—was rejected. Meanwhile, my structure claim, which showed no visible damage but was damaged badly but was still approved, highlights the inconsistencies in his report. Unresponsive and Avoidant Behavior: Following his assessment, attempts to contact Mohamed for clarification or rectification were met with avoidance. He refused to take calls and delegated responses to his assistant, clearly indicating an unwillingness to address his mistakes. Previous Poor Service This is not the first instance of disappointment with Appliance King: I had three air conditioners installed by Mohamed’s team, which were improperly fitted. The installations led to repeated issues, and I ultimately had to replace them entirely at my expense. When Mohamed offered to send his technicians to “repair” and reinstall them, I banned him from my property. The new air conditioners, installed by another company, functioned flawlessly. ************* and *********** Mohamed appears to prioritize gaining contracts over providing quality service. His reports and assessments seem tailored to please insurers rather than reflect the actual state of damage. This not only impacts customers financially but also tarnishes the reputation of reputable companies like Discovery Insure. Recommendations For Customers: Avoid dealing with Appliance King (Inkosi Repair) at all costs. If your insurer assigns them, request a different provider to avoid the stress and financial loss I endured. For Insurers: Reconsider working with this company, as their flawed assessments can damage your credibility and leave your clients dissatisfied. Final Note Due to Mohamed’s negligence, I am down nearly R200,000 in damages. If this situation is not rectified, I will consider taking legal action to recover the costs of my damaged items. I have saved all relevant evidence, including WhatsApp messages and proof of damage, to substantiate my claims. Mohamed and his team are a disgrace to the industry, and I strongly discourage anyone from entrusting them with any repairs, assessments, or installations.

They do not stand behind their products, no eefund, store credit only if you allow them yo fix it. If you decide you no longer trust their products and ask for the store credit you have 30 days to use it or allow someone else to use it. BUT since they trust their products less than you do, they will NOT give a store credit even if you upgrade. The owners are rude and train their staff to treat their customers like they don't matter and once they have your money, you are at their mercy. They don't care about you only the sale. Go to Appliances 4 less with them you get a 1 years warranty and if not happy 2ith the product, they will come out yo fix it and if unable to fix it, they will replace it. Night and Day difference. Sabrina was lovely and is the only highlight in this entire experience. Don't give these con artists your money.

Discovery Insure appointed "Appliance king" to assist with my claim. They do not contact you to inform customer what the plans are. They do not have a land line. So the customer is forced to call them on a cell number...even than there is still no service. I spoke to Samantha this morning@ 9am( 23/01/23) complaint about my air-conditioned that was installed on 21/01/23 is not effective, which I reported to the technician on 22/01/23, he was to speak to Samantha on 23/01/23.. I called Samantha at 9am on 23/01/23, informing her about the unit ,she promised to speak to the technician and get him to call me. At 5pm I call the technician, he did not know what I was talking about. Within seconds he called to let me know that she scheduled him to come out tomorrow (24/01/23) but she did not notify him the time. ....so I need to be at home the whole day????,

I have bought a low cost fridge at Appliance King Pvt Ltd yesterday and I made a payment and as per our agreement they said they will deliver the product yesterday of which they never did and today I had to contact them again and they said the driver will leave their premises at 12:00pm when I called them back again they now saying the driver is busy testing the other client’s product to check if its working or not, I called them back again and they now keep on hanging up on me and their phone its now on voicemail.

I am highly frustrated by your Service Provider InkosiTechnology/Appliance King - Mohamed’s attitude towards me. He is totally disinterested in completing the job on my premises which has been going on for over a month. He has now blocked my number because I have sent him messages about the job in question that needs to be completed. This is no way to deal with clients he is very unprofessional to say the least. In fact I am disgusted by his service as well as maltreatment of me, shoddy workmanship and distasteful behavior. I have sent several e-mails to Discovery with no response. It seems as though some of the staff there are in cahoots with him and are condoning this appalling attitude, hence no response from Discovery staff. He has no skills at all to deal with clients and this I say from what I have experienced with him. He is rude and abrupt and answers his phone if ever he does with “Yes”. I refuse to be treated in this manner and demand a written apology from him and from Discovery. I have attached some of the correspondence sent i.e. previous e-mails as well as in this one where he has been lying that the Technician is on his way where in fact the Technician knows nothing about having to come to complete the job. He has also instructed the Technician not to come to my premises i.e. today and on several other occasions. The Technician promised me That he will come today (see attachment). I have got to wait on his Technicians on a daily basis and this is infringing on my work. You will see the shoddy workmanship and many outstanding things that need to be attended in this and other mails to Discovery. He is giving Discovery a very bad name. Please revert to me as soon as you possibly can regarding the completion of this job.

<p>Appliance King (Mohamid) ********** 031 was assigned to repair my laptop from a Discovery Insurance Claim. Our Apple Desktop was also given to Appliance King and they sent it to the apple for repairs. My Parkard Bell which had a faulty Key pad was not send to the agents for repair and replaced by there inhouse technician who corrupted my laptop and the keypad is faulty, After Three weeks of back and forth with Appliance King , I have had to send my laptop to the Agents and they have had to replace my keyboard membrane and reload my windows onto my system. Dont touch Appliance King !</p>

<p>Our Insurance Brokers Discovery Insure Dealt with our claim replacing the Equipement that was Damaged.</p> <p>Applience King ( Mohamid ********** 031)where assigned our Computers to be repaired . The Apple Desktop was sent to the Authorised Apple dealers to be sorted out and repaired , Unfortunely My Parkard Notebook had to have The Keyboard replaced and instead of sending it to the agents to be replaced, it was done by his inhouse technician and he completely currupted my system and the replacement keyboard membrane was put on incorrectly. and this took 3 weeks . I have now had to send it to the Authorised Parkard Bell agents who have repaced the keypad and installed a new copy of windows. Stay away from appliance King!</p>
