On 21 April 2019, my alarm at my house was activated. The BESTSECURE reaction officer responded to the alarm activation. While checking my property, he noticed an open window and stole an item through the burglar proofing. This was all caught on CCTV. I had the BESTSECURE operations manager at my house to look at the video and this person agreed that the officer seemed to steal something from my house. When confronting BESTSECURE management via my attorney, they disputed the theft and said I do not have any proof, despite the video footage. They refused to replace my stolen property. I paid this company to protect my family and my property, but instead, their staff member was the criminal I was supposed to be protected against. A police case was opened and I'm awaiting the outcome thereof. BE WARNED, DO NOT USE BESTSECURE. THEY ARE THEIVES!!

There is a couple of hundred rand additional charges to our account. When queried I already received 3 different answers for what it is. On top if that the yearly increase is 25%???

Early Presentation of debit order without notice. 20 minutes to respond to alarm activated. When they arrive at the premises guard still sits in the car on their phones or writing before actually getting out to inspect premises. Radio control for assistance is so bad cannot even hear them when they speak. Worst security company ever. Apparently sister company of Top Security who just disappeared overnight.

For the last 3 months Bestsecure has been debiting extra off my account. When querying this I was met with complete hostility. No one can help me as everyone is on leave!! I am a client liaison officer myself, which means you are constantly on call! Are you telling me that absolutely no one is equipped to deal with customer complaints? Clearly. Bottom line is, we signed a 2 year contract at a fixed amount, in the last 3 months they have debits extra off my account without notification or authorization. When querying it, I was told the consultant should have made a note, you know what, as the bookkeeper you should make sure you bill according to your contracts not just thumbsuck! Secondly, I understand its the festive season, although Bestsecure have pretty must messed that up for me, incurring me additional financial charges. I know how stop orders work, they get loaded onto a streamer, no accounts department physically logs a debit off an account. Any bank will tell you that, as did mine. But the January 2018 debit was taken off my account on 19 December 2017 with an excuse that it is the festive season and they need to wrap things up!! Rubbish!!! it's on a streamer. If that is the case, how come last year my debit went off normally? The fact that these people are not even registered with SAIDSA or PSIRA is alarming, because they are literally just taking your money and running! The actual patrol and service leaves much to be desired, I NEVER see them patrol my area, despite all the promises we received when signing up. I would never suggest this company to anyone in future.

I'M going to keep it as short as possible. We had 3 cars stolen from our complex in a 5 months period of which 2 cars belongs to us. BestSecure is the current security company for our complex and many others in the Weltevreden Park area. Our first car was taken at about 4:30 am, best secure made their rounds at 4:00am that particular morning. I know this because as I looked out the window I saw the BestSecure bakkie. The criminals had time to work on our gate and gate motor in 30 mins and steal my car. I made an enquiry to best secure to ask who was the security guard on duty and I also request the times that he checked in. I did not receive feedback from them. 5 Months later our second car got stolen and another 1400 bakkie from our complex. I found out from our caretaker that the same security guard was on duty on those nights. I made another enquiry to Best secure who gave me the security guards name and said that he will be taken for a polygraph test. Even after all this information was given to Bestsecure about this security guard and the suspicion behind it, they still had him on duty. After some time I did a follow up email to best secure to find out that, the particular security guard has not reported back for work. BestSecure didn’t disclose if he took the Polygraph test of not. So after numerous emails to Bestsecure with minimal response. I did some self-investigation to find out that this particular security guard was involved once again, messing around with security cameras at a different location and was fired by Bestsecure. Also to add, when our second car was stolen. A security guard at the complex next to us saw the criminals and did not report the case to anyone. (Don’t ask why) . He saw that the criminals had issues starting the cars on the main road. They also had a long debate to who will be driving which car away. So these criminals had all the time to do this with no present security company seeing them? REALLY. If you drive in Weltevreden Park today, you will always see a BestSecure vehicle. However on those nights I guess no vehicle was around.. Kind of suspicious to me. So now BestSecure loses nothing but getting rid of the problem and firing the security guard and here is the client who had 2 cars paid off now stuck in a 5 year deal paying off 2 cars. Let alone dealing with the Sadness behind losing a car that was handed down from generation to generation. Till today my wife looks at every silver grey Tazz and thinks that might be her car. I’m not saying that the Company BestSecure is involved in any criminal activities . All I am saying here is that we had a major loss and also had to see a psychologist, as we had to deal with this alone. So I felt the need to make people aware of this. Companies are out to make money. That’s the bottom line. Seems like if we didn’t have security we would be in a way better space. So BestSecure total lost = 1 security guard ---------- Client Loss= hundreds of thousands.

Yet again Bestsecure sticks their hands into my account and takes R 456 a day after the normal monthly fee of R 399 is debited. This is the second time they have just debited extra money from my account without any authorisation or explanation. Months go by and still no answer. Clearly replying to your customers and customer service is not on the top of your priority. Dear Tremain Burns, Tertia Carlse, Kirsten Potgieter, Etienne De Klerk, Thys or Kobus, I know you are all busy but could one of you please come back to me?

Best Secure installed a substandard alarm system, even when I asked for a different system. After 18 months, the system is still giving DAILY false alarms. Best Secure has no intention of finding and fixing the problem. They are stringing me along.
