ABSA Bidvest Benefits **** I’m actually extremely disappointed with ABSA and their Bidvest Services. Recently, on the 5th of January I had taken my card to the Bidvest lounge and I was told that I would be able to enter and use my free benefits. Only to be sent an sms that they are charging R270 for the service ,claiming I used it outside of the benefit services. Even though the lounge states that you need to come 2 hours before the flight and I did. Further more,the Bidvest lounge assistants NEVER indicated that I would be charged R270 to sit in the lounge

What a bad experience to other lounges. How do you serve food that is supposed to be hot cold and no Microwave to warm your food. All other lounges have at least a microwave. Then you go to the bathroom and guess what no soap. I had to call someone to fill the soap. Bidvest never use to be like this very disappointed

Dear Bidvest Premier Lounge Management, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the service I received in relation to a missing wedding ring at the Bidvest Premier Lounge at OR Tambo International Airport. I would like to note that Bonisa was helpful and courteous in her interactions with me, and I appreciate her willingness to assist. However, I am deeply dissatisfied with how the matter was ultimately handled. When I returned and accessed the lounge to follow up on the incident, I met with Thabang and specifically asked him to help search for the ring at the chairs where my sister had been seated. We checked both chairs together. When I stood up and turned around, I noticed that there are two cameras clearly directed at those exact chairs where my sister had been sitting and where her wedding ring went missing. Despite this, neither Thabang nor Bonisa took the initiative to review the CCTV footage. Instead, the matter was dismissed with a simple apology and the explanation that the ring was not found and that nothing had been handed in. This response was inadequate, especially considering that the footage could clearly establish what happened and at what point, allowing the matter to be properly investigated and potentially resolved. A wedding ring is not a trivial item. I am extremely unhappy with the lack of urgency, accountability, and investigative effort shown in assisting my sister with recovering such a sentimental and valuable item. It felt far too easy to close the matter without making use of the available resources, particularly the CCTV footage. I expect this complaint to be taken seriously and would appreciate confirmation of who is handling this matter, as well as what steps will now be taken to investigate the incident properly. I would like to bring to your attention a recent charge that was processed on my account. When I accessed the Bidvest Lounge, I was informed by the staff that there would be no charge due to my account being on Private status. However, I have since noticed a total deduction of R1,200, on the 8th at the East London Slow Lounge processed in four separate transactions of R300 each — covering myself, my wife, and our two children only the next day was told that there will be no charge as I'm on Private Client Card.The payment transaction then took place on the 9th November 2025. Could you please assist me in understanding: Why these charges were app**** despite the account status? Whether the Bidvest Lounge benefit is not included for Private clients? If possible, could the charges be reviewed and reversed if made in error? I would appreciate your urgent assistance and clarification regarding this matter.

Not professional at all my flyt left me behind where as if they had big screens or intercom that calls for call outs or a person that comes and let's us know when the queues have few people lots of people get left behind just for a simple things that needs to be done now it costs us our time and money I'm very disappointed

Bidvest Airport lounge charged R3180 for lounge access. Despite numerous emails, no refund has been made, and worst of all, the food was terrible, with only 1 bowl of cold curry available or option of breakfast food at 5pm. There was no ice because they had no water. I assume they do not know that ice can be purchased.

Bidvest Airport lounge charged R3180 for lounge access. When We Arrived There Was A Long Line And The Lounge Was Not Accepting Additional Customers As An Emirates Flight Was Cancelled And Customers Were Not Leaving. When We Eventually Allowed In The Food Was Pitiful With More Than Half The Set Menu Missing And Never Replenished. It Was A Total Waste Of Money.

Staff are incredibly rude, and do not listen to clients. Had a bad experience at the Airport Lounge in Cape Town, where I was charged for coming in early, when the terms and conditions clearly stated that I was entitled to a maximum of 2 hours. I tried explaining this to them but they were insistent that this only app**** to international clients and not to domestic ones. They were rude and wouldn't listen even when I showed them the terms and conditions. It is okay to admit when you have made a mistake, especially when such a mistake was calculated to embarrass the client.
