Very unhappy. Purchased a lounge suite on 29 May from Hill street Russells branch. It started falling apart two months ago. I have been passed from pillar to post trying to speak to someone to get a replacement with no luck.
I received a call from Cell C debit collection agency MBS stating I had been handed over for a debt due to Cell C. I only have a simple debit order with Cell C. This is not the first time this happened but I am certainly considering switching to Vodacom or Openserve who seem to be much more on the ball.
Cell C changed their login procedure and require me to update my password. Unfortunately the sim card is in my modem and does not receive SMS for the required OTP for the change. It is also the incorrect size for my iphone, which I am not using in any case as a hot spot for this process an cannot remove the sim. The call centre person Eswe apologized and said there is nothing they can do and that I am locked out and they are sorry to see me go. SO basically Cell C made a change to their system and locked me out and have made it impossible to continue with them. Time for a change.
Terrible experience with FNB, would advise against using them for serious investment and estates. We requested my late mothers IT3B nearly a full month ago and they are refusing to provide it. Escalated to Ralton Leach and Arnold Romain and then Rekha Chetty. Still no joy. I closed my accounts with them several years ago due to shoddy service and new see I was fully justified.
My daughter was scheduled for a simple eye exam 3 weeks ago, She arrived on the day only to be told to reschedule to next week as the Dr was busy. The people behind the desk appeared not terribly interested and it seemed they just forgot. The day before the next appointment she was contacted and told the Dr had an emergency and had to rebook a further week away. She arrived today and was examined. When she tried to pay, the clerk Lepolelo informed her that they would not accept her bank card and she must make a bank transfer. This in itself is just wrong, My daughter tendered an appropriate and universally acceptable mode of payment and was rejected! She then contacted me, her father and send me the invoice and I duly paid and sent through the POP. Lepolelo barred her from leaving for around 20minutes until the POP arrived. My daughter repeatedly told her she had to be somewhere but Lepolelo kept refusing to let her leave. My daughters phone was on almost the entire time and I heard the entire discussion where Lepolelo refused to let her leave. My Daughter is a polite young teenager and did not want to make a scene or seem rude. Eventually I told her to just Leave!!!! Which she eventually did. What a disgraceful set of circumstances. Messing a patient around with bookings is extremely poor practice and shocking and the admin and clerical staff should be taken to task about this. ********ly detaining someone just because she is young is despicable and potentially ********.
What a frustrating experience. Last week I went to Northgate Hi Fi corp to buy a R2000 security camera. When trying to pay for it I waited at the counter for 10 min while the only cashier helped someone sort out a return. I asked if there was anyone else to help (there were 2 tills) and she shouted across the floor for the other cashier. I kid you not in a space of 5 minutes of shouting for the same person, a lazy uninterested person trudges over. Before she even got half way I said stuff this and walked out (after waiting for close on 20 minutes). My wife thought I was being impatient and today we went back, this time to buy a laptop and printer. On a Saturday only one person on the floor assisting. I asked if there was anyone else who could help and the one person who was busy shouted across the floor to a colleague. After about 4 shouts and still no sign of assistance we left everything and went to incredible connection who couldn't be more helpful. To the pathetic staff, you just cost your company R25000 in sales because of your poor attitude. All they could do was say oh sorry. I don't think Hi-Fi corp Northgate will last much longer and you will all be out of jobs.
How's this for a ****. Lancet contact me telling me that they owe me money but wont tell me when or how much. After much correspondence they provide an account reference number and inform me that it is from January 2023! Still have no idea how much. In order to refund me I must prove to them I paid this by sending them a bank statement from January 2023. I cannot get statements going back 2 years readily. Lancet obviously have this POP already as they informed me of the due refund. I suspect this practice is to wear the client down and legitimately keep the money they owe me by forcing me to walk away from it. Surely this is unjust enrichment and is *******?
I have been an OUTsurance client for several decades and have generally been happy except for now. Due to the insistance on using telephone updates rather than written I find there are always spelling mistakes on addresses etc. I tried to fix this early in the week over the phone and also change some key addresses. It proved so hard that we agreed for me to email through the changes which I did. I received a receipt telling me it would be updated. Days later still nothing. When I queried this I received the same old policy. Nothing had been done, no further feedback or assistance. I am now getting alternate quotes and considering moving to a more dynamic and user friendly company, Outsurance are proving just too difficult to work with. FYI my policy premiums are well in excess of R10,000pm and I have been a client for over 25 years..
Upgraded to a new contract and handset almost 3 weeks ago, still not received handset or any communication at all. Even a phonecall would have been useful. No answer to emails or phonecalls. Considering cancelling contract and moving to Cell C. You would think that the company would go out of its way to retain long standing clients, apparently not it seems.
An absolute shambles of a company. Ordered G12 books on 3 Jan, still not recieved despite being in stock. Had to go and buy the books again in stores. So far Caxton has swindles me out of R1700. Same happened in 2020, I just forgot about the non delivery.
