2 years ago I purchased a heavy duty sander and 3 months later the velcro started coming loose on the sanding pad. They sent an email asking me all the relevant questions and I answered the questions and they stated that they would fetch the item from my home and still waiting

I have 35 years experience working with Power tools in my trade. ! Bought a Bosch Angle grinder GWS 700 from Buco Knysna. Within 2 hours of work it started making a noise that sounds like a dry bearing or a bearing turning in the housing. I took it to Buco Knysna but they said the warranty does not apply because I changed the plug to a SA standard 3 pin plug. If this is the argument for dodging the warranty commitment from either Bosch or Buco then this would sit on my tool shelf as the last Bosch product or the last power tool bought from Buco.

I bought a brushless Bosch battery drill from builders warehouse in Gezina in November 2020.Awesome machine until it stopped working yesterday- now my work has to wait for the whole repair process to follow its 21day course.I don’t understand that in this day and age that this process can take so long.I would understand if I went for the cheap “made in China “option- but I went for the German engineering. Now I have to wait till someone decides if they going to repair or replace my battery drill.I do understand that things break- but the turn around time is totally unacceptable.

I purchased a Bosch Angle grinder at Makro on the 28 July 2019 for R640. By the 20th October it was giving us problems, so we had taken it to Makro Returns because it is under one year warranty, Makro advised that they will send it to Bosch to see what the problem was. When we returned to Makro they advised that we had to pay R453 to repair the angle grinder, because Bosch advised them that the warranty does not cover everything in the angle grinder. We then advised Makro to please return the angle grinder back to us. When we went to pick it up from Makro it was in a plastic bag disassembled, and if we want it put back together we have to pay Bosch to reassemble it. What nonsense is that? What kind of service ? The same angle grinder in going for R499 in Makro but they wanted us to pay R453 to repair it does it makes sense. They was a guy by the name of Ivan that called me was of no help either he just spoke the same bull**** as the people in Makro.

What a pathetic company, after many decades of having an account with them (and always up to date) , their computer systems changed, and refuse to help us. We specialise in tools, stay far away from these guys, tools not near good enough, to warrant the hassle and shoddy service.

As a Bosch power tool user I can highly recommend the service I received from Bosch in particular Patrice Marrier who responded promptly to my emails (the address of which I got from the internet) in which I requested a spare part for a Bosch professional drill that worked without a hitch for 10 years. The advice given by Patrice was "professional". Kudos again to Patrice for his assistance and service. Thank you!

Queried spare parts for my Bosch Cordless 18v Jigsaw and eventually managed to order the parts. Took 6 months just to order the parts. Parts were to come from Germany and take 2 to 3 weeks. It has not been 5 months since I ordered the parts. I have not received a call, message or email indicating the progress on the order. When I query anything, I being pushed from one person to the next. Hopeless service for such a well-recognized company.
