So I went to Brights hardware in Watergate Mitchell's plain and found the laminating flooring at a higher price than buildit. I then asked the lady in the department if they do price beats and she was not sure but called up the store manager and informed him that there's a customer who advised that the item is R50 cheaper elsewhere. She asked if the price could be beaten seeing that the customer found it to be R50 cheaper at a competitor and manager advised her that he can however I needed to get a quotation from Buildit. The manager made me drove all the way to Buildit and when I returned with the quotation he then said he can't beat the price. What type of service is this all while I am observing the fast he thought nothing of wasting my time and petrol as if I was a joke. I will definitely not be going back after that kind of service.

I popped into the Bellville branch a couple of days ago for some DIY hardware and had a great experience. The service was excellent, and I found exactly what I needed. I’ve been a customer for years and will continue to support them.

Bought most of my roof paint from Bright's hardware store at table bay Mall at the end of 2024, taken it back for credit as I did not require. Yes I understand the return policy. It wasn't even open and kept in my garage cupboard for a year, nothing is wrotg and wasn't even opened. Was a 5 liter white solvent paint. Manager calls me back after 3 day's to tell me he can't refund. This is not good business practice. Also I am a resident right next to the mall. I have been supporting this branch from the time I have moved in 2021. Logan Pillay

On 23/12/2025 I purchased a Unitherm 18 000BTU Air Conditioner. On the 24/12/2025 I realized that it was not the correct unit and contacted Brights on their WhatsApp customer care number to request that they cancel the order and let me order the correct unit the Unitherm 18 000BTU Inverter Air Conditioner, only to be told that it had already left with the courier. They promised to contact me on Monday, which they did not do in order for me to pay in the difference. On the 29/12/2025 their courier arrived with the incorrect unit which I did not accept and told them it must be returned to Brights Hardware Blackheath. On the 30/12/2025 someone called me and emailed me the banking details to pay in the difference which I gladly did. After again querying I get told that they will only receive the original incorrect unit on the 05/01/2026 and thereafter they will let me know when they will dispatch my correct Air Conditioner!!! I Will NEVER PURCHASE FROM BRIGHTS HARDWARE AGAIN STAFF ARE *********** AND THEY COULDN'T BE BOTHERED ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! BOILING HOT WEATHER, NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE COURIER ON THE ORIGINAL ORDER EITHER. VERY DISSATISFIED FROM HERM**** WESTERN CAPE

Online shopping is most frustrating. Once selected, the items and going to check out, the website stalls, and you go no further. Clearly, they do not want any business, because I cannot proceed to pay. Very bad and disappointing. Sorry! Goodbye to Brights!

Popped in for an online order collection - which was great service and very easy. While there I went looking for a PowaFix product. Stacey-Lee assisted me, and was very helpful - checking your store stock, other Brights branches, as well as PowaFix website itself. Very patient and knowledgeable person. In the end I researched the product at a different store, and although it was a PowaFix product it was actually 'HydroFix' and not 'OxyFlo' My mistake, and apologies. Thank you

This is the second time i have paint mixed ad mitchells plain branch and its never the colour i give them code in book and the manager lenox never seem to think that they are wrong the 1st time i let it go now i buy paint again then its again wrong what **** is this must i be a looser everytime when i buy paint at brights

Word of caution when buying online with Brights Hardware. Check stock first before purchasing. Found myself having to get a refund finding out there is no stock and could take 2 weeks to get stock. With me re-locating approximately 100km away Brights couldn't deliver to me sighting the cost of petrol.
