We a group of 24 golfers that spent Friday and Saturday, 20 and 21st November 2024. We checked out on the Sunday. We booked 5 chalets. Nobody met us on arrival at any of the chalets to do an inventory check and to sign an inventory list. We couldn't even find an inventory list in the chalets. On Sunday morning when we were leaving, nobody came to any of the chalets again to do a handover. We paid a R10000 deposit for all 5 chalets. One of the guys made himself some food in a pan on Sunday morning and forgot to switch off the plate resulting in the pan getting burnt. We accept responsibility for this. We then get an email saying that they going to deduct R2900 odd Rand for items missing. Some of the items listed are a set of tongs and a scissors. This was from our chalet. The entire weekend we never saw a scissors let alone use one. The tongs were washed Saturday morning and placed in the draw. They say a pot was missing from another unit. All 5 guys in that unit said that the pot was filled with potato salad so they decided to leave it in the fridge for the staff. The cleaning company owner says there was never a pot of potatoes salad and the pot is missing. So the 5 guys from that unit are "lying" They charging us over R800 for this pot that we know for a fact was there when we left. Other items were a glass bowl and a Pyrex dish that the guys swear was there when they left. We a bunch of upstanding guys consisting of business owners, judges and lawyers. Not one of us need to ***** pots and tongs and scissors and Pyrex dishes. Caribbean management refuse to believe us and only the word of the cleaning company owner is taken as the truth. Why should we pay for missing items when there's no proof that they were there in the first place. On Sunday morning, one of the guys opened the bedroom cupboard and the entire door fell on him. It was loose on the unit. We are being charged R300 maintenance for that. In our unit, the towel rack in the bathroom kept falling apart. Obviously no maintenance or very little, is being done but one pays lots of money to stay here. I will never recommend Caribbean Estates to anyone. We are currently in dispute with them.

I was referred to Quinton RCI manager on the resort as a permanent rental residence had issues with us time share guests using the laundry facilities The housekeeping guests informed us these residents have issues with all the time share guests.Quinton became agitated and biased towards us.Stating the permanent rentals have more rights than timeshare guests. He was very racist towards me as a black south African and displayed hate towards women in general. He enquired from my husband how do you live with this'meaning me'.My husband is not a confrontational person who just let this remark slide as it would have ruined our holiday. This review is yo warn anyone who is thinking of buying RCI timeshare..DONT..they have rude racist staff and the after sales service is non existent..read all the other bad reviews. If this reaches management.. please pull out the camera footage as Quinton stormed off whilst we were still there.

We stayed over for the weekend and cut off time for visitors is 10 'o clock which is understandable because there are rules and regulations. When we had visitors come in we literally has to sit and fill in an entire permit, they may as well have asked me to write down my HIV status. So much miscommunication and in an industry that caters to hospitality. There is zero hospitality!

My absolute horror with this establishment just never ceases to end.... the most recent issue is the fact that there are water issues and there is no prior communication BEFORE arriving at this property and there's no plan B. You must just "go to the jojo tank if you want water". A piece of paper showing when you should and shouldn't shower just does not work!! The staff's attitude that... wait for it... it's an Eskom problem that's affecting the water supply from the reservoir... for the amount of money paid to stay here per night get a plan B... I might as well have stayed at home.... at least I wouldn't smell.

Caribbean Estates do nat value their customers at all. Managment has a total disregard for their guests. They do very load construction repairs while you want to rest, with no warning. When reporting the matter, they do not respond or contact you. They do not value their customers that pay and travel from far, that want to rest at all.

we had won a midweek at carribean estate and upon confirmation 1 week prior we were told our booking was replaced with that of a paying customer, we had already planned the entire trip and had to cancel my leave and everything, the receptionist was extremely rude and I would not advise anyone to ever visit carribean, evern the supervisor or resort manager that the phone was handed over to was rude and extremely racist. in this day and age you would expect people to be over the black and white thing, but the staff at carribean estate are still living in that decade, rude racist white people that must just move out of SA, we have a lot of problems and racism is not welcome anymore. shame on your carribean estate, my family has been there on multiple occasions and have applauded the views, but even they advised that the staff were not welcoming and somewhat racist, I had hoped that my experience would be different. shame on me for thinking that some people actually change.
