Citibank is running a **** when people apply for a loan. You must pay several fees and at the end you do not get your money back without paying fee upon fee. They cannot be trusted. Promise you everytime that this is the last fee just to learn that there is another fee. I am not getting my money back. They cannot be trusted.

My wife's cheque to close an old dormant account needed to be reprocessed due to change of our permenant address to another country. After multiple personal visits to local office in India in person and after numerous calls and emails, there is no response for over last 4+ months. I am checking legal options at this point as the support system sucks and further messed up after recent merger. No wonder the bank operations were closed and acquired. Perfect example of a horrible customer service.

My wife's cheque to close an old dormant account needed to be reprocessed due to change of our permenant address to another country. Barnard Today, 15 Jan 2019 and still no sign of any payments made to me as the member for claims submitted to De is about 4 months back. Apparently Citibank is still cancelling a cheque from the 4th of January 2019, that was never posted in the first place. So it takes Citibank 11 days to cancel a cheque. The best Denis can do is phoning me to tell me Citibank still did not come back to them.... I guess thats Citibank for you. Is cancelling a cheque by a bank really such a lengthy difficult process?

Pumzu from City Bank contacted me today after I filed a complaint with his HR department.<br> <br> It was spell-ed out CLEARLY TO HIM THAT BECAUSE CITY BANK REFUSE TO ASSIST me with an accidental wrong payment that was to be refunded, as I was assured by him, after he explained he will send a e-mail with the standard document to confirm this to their City Bank account holder, to sign so they can proceed with recall and refund me. NOTHING HAPPENED. NOTHING AFTER N U M E R O U S CALLS-HE NEVER BOTHERED TO PHONE BACK OR FOLLOW UP. I ASSUME THIS WAS FILED IN THE GARBAGE BIN-my attorney could only proceed to resolve the matter after receiving PROOF OF THE E-MAIL HE PROMISED WAS SENT TO THE ACCOUNT HOLDER.<br> <br> Long story short there was NO E MAIL SEND-HE DID NOT FORWARD ME A COPY. THE TYPICAL PROBLEM IN SA THESE DAYS!!!!OF THE DAY-PEOPLE DO NOT GO TO THEIR OFFICE ANY MORE BECAUSE THEIR JOB IS THE PURPOSE REASON/PASSION....THEY GO THERE TO BE PRESENT ONLY.....to receive a paycheck end of the month. They make promises but do not deliver.<br> This is a speaking example.<br> When the evidence was requested he could not deliver becaus e he never contact the client and explained the situation. Shame on him!

Last excuse to stretch out the recund was asking ME the man in the street!!!! What is the name of the account holder of the account number.!!! I have NO ACCESS to their system-a system so insufficient it cannot connect with the name of a Mount holder when they punch in the acc number.<br> They haVe ABSOLUTELY NO I N T E R E S T to reply or get back to you. I made a payment from my mobile phone -a touch screen.<br> Hit tle block a little to high and the payment went to ARVARTO<br> ARVARTO is the company who does google campaigns<br> The amount was enormous-enough for 1 year on active campaign.<br> I contacted City bank they ASSURED me no problem-they submitted a document that THEIR ACCOUNT HOLDER HAD TO SIGN to refund my account.<br> I had to follow up again and again and I am now at the end of the line<br> City bank does not have the ability or people in positions to solve a simple matter like this.<br> CAN YOU BELIEVE IT TODAY THIS PUMZU CALLED ME TO ASK M E W H O IS THE ACCOUNT HOLDER OF THE ACCOUNT NUMBER????? I DO NOT WORK WITH CITY BANK AND I CANNOT LOG ON TO THEIR SYSTEM -HOW ON EARTH CAN THEY ASK ME WHO IS THE ACCOUNT HOLDER.<br> CITY BANK IS JUST PLAYING FOR TIMER TO EARN A FAT AMOUNT OF RENT OR EITHER THEIR STAFF IS INCOMPETENT.
