I went through the entire process of buying a car from CMH Pinetown. This took about 2 weeks. I had reluctantly agreed to pay more than the price indicated on their website because they said an oil leak had been discovered and that they would get it fixed, and because I needed them to handle the licensing and registration. After some days, CMH Pinetown said that the oil leak had been fixed, the licensing and registration was done and that everything was now ready to proceed, so we agreed upon a delivery date. Then, the day before the car was going to be delivered, I received the following literally shocking and surely utterly unacceptable, email: "Good day Sir. Thank you for taking my call earlier on, I just spoke to my manager just to double check if all is in order. He just put into my attention that the Price of vehicle has been change due to work that’s been done. The car drive like brand new now and its in a mint condition you will love it. Full service been done 4 brand new tyres. The car is now R20K more but if you can come up with R10K more the car will be your we will pay other R10k for you because the original price has change sir. Please let me know your thought, Also receive bank details attached" Needless to say I replied that I never requested 4 brand new tyres, nor a full service, nor anything else that was not already agreed upon, and that if they insisted that I pay ANOTHER R10,000 extra to buy and receive the car I would take my business elsewhere. But CMH Pinetown did not even bother to respond.

I recently purchased a used NP-200 from CMH Pinetown. To date the service has been a bit dodgy. Requested a few things be repaired/touched up before I took ownership of the vehicle and so far nothing much has come from it. I gave the vehicle in on the 11/10/17 for the “Auto Armour 3-1” which cost me R1950 and received it on the 13/10/17 in basically the same condition I handed it in, just that it got a wash and some ****ty perfume. Sales rep informed me that it would go to Supershield Pinetown, but they have no record of the vehicle even being there!! Salesman thereafter makes a U-turn and says that auto-valet services in Pinetown is the preferred valet service?? They seem to be a standard car-wash which I could’ve had done myself for 1/10 the cost of what I’ve been charged. Add to that some horribly damaged wheel caps, plenty of paint chips and fine rust which I was promised would be taken of. Makes me wonder why I even bothered choosing a so called ‘reputable” dealership. Appalling, happy with the vehicle but definitely not thrilled by dealer/salesman service. How many other unsuspecting customers have paid for this auto-armour (almost 2 Grand) and not received their monies worth?!?!

I purchased a brand new Nissan NP200 1.6.16V from CMH Datcentre situated on 155 Old Main Road in Pinetown. I paid R 146167.59 for the vehicle which was paid in total by EFT/Cash on 26/06/2014. I took delivery of the vehicle on the 08/07/2014. Since the date of delivery I have been experiencing numerous problems with the above vehicle which CMH Datcentre service department as on records. The vehicle was towed in to them for inspection & repairs. The faults of the brand new vehicle are as follows:

1. Mileage +- under 2000 - No Idle - 10/12/2014.

2. Mileage +- under 10000 - Gear Shift Select problems. The vehicle went in on 2 occasions for the same fault.

3. Recently the vehicle was towed to them on 12/04/2017 as there was no power.

The exhaust sensor was replaced.

4. Also recently discovered rust inside of engine cabin.

5. Burning heat shield smell inside cab.

All the above was brought to CMH Datcentre attention, which of course was attended too except for the rust which was found inside engine cabin. I have even emailed Nissan Customer Service department regarding the situation on the rust but to-date have not received a reply to my complaint.

I called the Customer Care which were helpful however found lame excuses on my complaint regarding the rust.

This rises a bit of concern on my vehicle going forward. I am very dissapointed with this Nissan NP200 vehicle. This van is well maintained mechanically & also on the body/paintwork. I have proof available. My NP200 has a milieage of +- 22000KM

and is around 2.5 years old, however I am having endless problems as explained above.

Please can you assist as I would appreciate if Nissan could replace my vehicle at no

extra cost for my inconvience thus far on the purchase of their product.

At the beginning of March 2016 I enquired about a vehicle with the CMH Datcentre Pinetown and they recommended the White Navara 2.5dCi A/T claiming that it was in an “Excellent condition”. The vehicle was then delivered to me on the 30th March 2016 at CMH Nissan in Midrand. From there, within 100km I realized that there was a fluid leakage from the engine and called Sabelo to inform him about it. I was told that it is water coming from the air conditioner; unfortunately it was oil leak from the engine.

From there I asked for the service book to see the last report. They said that they have forgotten to deliver it with the car so they will courier it but it was never sent to me, meaning that the vehicle was not being serviced and they were aware of it before sale. Since that day I have been calling them (CMH-Sabelo & Vernon) day by day to ask for assistance whereby I was granted concession to drive it with the fault as they will arrange for it to be fixed. Unfortunately things where not as promised because they would ignore my calls, or answer and then tell me that they will return my call after 5min as they are busy with other clients, but they never returned my calls until I call again hours later. This recurred until the day I was instructed to take the car to BB Motors Nissan in My hometown whereby I waited from 11:00-16:00 waiting for them (CMH) to give BB Motors a go ahead to conduct an inspection.

From the inspection I was told that the engine on the car is not its original one and the only thing they can do is a temporary fix to stop the oil leak for a time being.

They kept on pushing time by ignoring my emails and calls until the 27th of May when I was told that the vehicle needs to be taken to CMH Nissan in Midrand (Approx. 480km-on my cost). On the 31st of May it was taken there whereby they were quoted for a new engine worth R200 000. The report and quote were kept confidential and they denied sending it to me. Few days later, I was told that it needs to go to CMH Nissan in Sandton whereby we were quoted for a temporary fix of putting/replacing a seal (R9K). I then asked why are they making movements, but they couldn’t answer.

On the 10th of June I went to return their car from where it was delivered but the Pinetown guys (Sabelo and Vernon) instructed Midrand not to ever take it until I pay R38K for usage as per AA’s car rental rates as if I had hired a vehicle from them. I didn’t have a vehicle to drive to work for a month from the 31st May to the 1st of July after I have pushed for them to get me a courtesy car.

I was then called in to fetch the car from CMH Sandton on the 29th July, claiming that it was “fixed”. But, to my surprise, two weeks later on the 16th August 2016 I found out that there’s still an oil leak. I immediately called and emailed Vernon to inform him about this matter but it took him until the 22nd August to come back to me saying that I should take the car to CMH Sandton again (On my cost). I no longer want to deal with these guys and I would like to urge people out there to stay away from stress by playing far from CMH group. This is because I feel they are taking advantage of people and they want to get rid of their defective vehicles through us with tricks.

They are going to do another temporary fix, therefore I have to live with the crisis??? Peter, please assist!!!
