I took my car in for a service on the 10th of January, Charlene and Shanti went way above their duties and assisted me so kindly to get a preapproval for my service before I could take my car in. On the day, Brandon Mkwebula went way beyond his way to keep in contact with me with updates on my service. Best customer services, Super friendly staff- Keep up the good work CMH Toyota Umhlanga.

Extremely poor customer service in Umhlanga Toyota. My car broke down on my way back from holiday in Umhlanga, whereafter I directly phoned Umhlanga Toyota. Immediately they said they can’t help on Saturdays!! How reassuring is this that Umhlanga Toyota do not assist customers on Saturdays, when they have a break down. Upon arrival, the service was pathetic to say the least. Well technically there were no service whatsoever. They did not check my car, to be honest, they did not even pull my car into the garage to check, the foreman had a brief look on the driveway of Toyota and said he can not HELP. They refused to assist us to arrange and/or to help with alternative transport. After repairs to my car was done the following week, NO REPORT OF WHAT WAS WRONG (although I have requested a report on numerous occasions), NO ALLEGED DAMAGED PARTS WERE GIVEN BACK. NO EXPLANATION. HEREWITH THEIR FORMAL WRITTEN REPLY: “We are only equipped to do servicing on a Saturday” “Our dealership policy is that old parts should be left in the vehicle at handover, and this should have been offered to you to view.” Please make sure that if you have a breakdown with your Toyota, that it is not on a Saturday and/or that it is not in Umhlunga, because then Totyota refuse to assist their customers on Saturdays and refuse to give back the alleged broken parts. They will only gladly give you a R25 000.00 invoice to pay the next week, there is NO report on the damage of your parts. There are NO ‘old’ parts in the vehicle, as per their policy.

Never buy a used car from CMH Toyota Umhlanga. The paint work on their vehicles are pathetic, which surfaces badly with time (Their panel beaters are also colour blind which shows, when the body panels of their cars are closely examined). Rather drive the car into direct sunlight and then closely inspect the car. Never believe what they tell you w.r.t. the vehicles panels and paint! The entire sales team, even the manager (Kovilan), is extremely dishonest, I wonder how they sleep at night speaking so much lies about the cars they sell. Be sure to check the car service book for its service history records, as they seem to be dishonest in that regards as well. And if your vehicle is ever booked in there, be careful for swapping of parts! Be very weary….. I’m sharing this from my personal experience.

I would like to share my worst and poor service I have ever experienced or received from my entire life at CMH Toyota Umhlanga, from the branch Manager to the junior staff. being discriminated, mistreating and full of lies. bought a car from them 6-7 months ago and from the time of purchase i have had multiple issue with the car, and all It happens is that I have to fight on each and every issue I experience with the car with them, when i purchase the car after 2-3 months of purchase i had a puncture and only to find that the tyre had no air on it and the thread were completely finished which means the spare tyre was not road worthy. for them to come and fix i had to fight in order for them to come and fix it. mind you i was stuck right next to the people whom were striking on the road, with my kid on the way to school and my wife in the car to work. few months later found out the cruise function isn't functioning, few weeks ago the car had a break down showing oil sign on the dash, reported this to them and few days ago the management was showing sign of no respect with me while i was furous and desperate of the vehicle to use while they working on the car, they had make up stories and lied about teh Hyundai dealer and said they have given me an update about the car which they hadn't. right now i have no vehicle to transport my kid to school and no info about what going on with the car. i escalated the matter with Toyota South Africa and hoping that they get in the bottom of this, but by the look of things they seem to be taking the dealers side as i had been told that i must deal with the mechanic my self and take care of the fees while the dealer told me to take the car away from Hyundai and they will fix the issue on the car. i wanted to share this experience with regards to bad service we receive from these motor dealer shop.

My car since having beed attended at CMH Toyota uMhlanga hasn't been the same. Instead of it coming back in good condition. It cam back with what seems to have been a botched half job. The starter/ignition is failing and the gears are failing on the inclined hill. It has been the worst experience since having been with Toyota. I have used other branches with good service until I had to deal with CMH. From the delaying on diagnostics of the car to items that are on back order on ends. Toyota should take this car and fix whatever they messed up there. mthiyaneralph@gmail.com

What an incredible experience at CMH Toyota Umhlanga today where our Yaris was booked in as part of a Toyota recall campaign 🚘 I arrived at 6-50am with a few vehicles already in the que and was immediately acknowledged and had a number placed on the car. The workshop garage doors opened promptly at 7am and vehicles moved forward. A lady was ready and waiting with a tray of hot cappucinos ☕️ to offer all customers on this cold winter morning. 🥶 It wasn't long until the service advisor Shantil Chetty attended to me and booked the vehicle in before booking me a Bolt driver at their cost to take me to work. The Bolt was there within 3mins and I was at work by 7-20am. 🚀 Shantil kept me informed of the progress during the day and even advised that were certain items not part of the recall that had been picked up and they were trying to sort. Vehicle was ready at 3pm sharp with them sorting out whatever unrelated items they had found at no cost to us. 😊 Was really impressed by the overall customer service and experience with the dealership and service advisor and will really recommend them. Keep up the great work! 🙏
