We overpaid fees last year June 2025 and we have been sending numerous emails to Lucy to release our money, she promised to release when school open but now she is not taking our calls or replying to our mails. I can say much about what experience we had in the past 2 years with them.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the experiences my child and I have had with Cornelius Crèche Vukuthu in ilitha park . I am extremely disappointed with the service provided, which has led me to lose trust in the care and safety of your institution. Below, I will outline the series of events and reasons for my dissatisfaction, as well as my request for a full refund of R1400, which I believe is justified due to your negligence. Details of Negligence Registration Issue on the First Day: I registered my child for the 2024 academic year and paid his fees in December 2024, as instructed. However, on his very first day, my child was sent home, with your staff claiming he was unregistered. This caused unnecessary stress and reflects poor administrative management on your part. Neglect of Basic Care and Needs: Over the three days my child attended your crèche: He consistently came home with a full bottle of milk/water, indicating that he was not given proper hydration throughout the day. On only one occasion was his bottle partially consumed, but even then, it was inadequate for a 1-year-old. My child also came home hungry, which shows neglect in ensuring children are fed properly during their time at the crèche. Lack of Supervision: My mother visited the school to observe the environment and was shocked to find children crying and left unsupervised with no teacher present. This raises serious concerns about the safety and well-being of the children in your care. During a subsequent meeting, your staff admitted to this lack of supervision, which further eroded my confidence in your ability to care for young children. Infact there was no supervision for crying 2 year olds Failure to Provide the Agreed Service: I paid R1400 for my child to be enrolled and cared for at your crèche. However, due to your negligence and failure to meet basic standards of care, I did not receive the service I was promised. Actions Taken I reached out to your school to express my concerns and frustrations. A meeting was held with the school manager and teacher, during which: The teacher apologized and admitted to negligence. I was informed that the teacher would face a disciplinary hearing. Despite the apologies, I felt unsettled and dissatisfied with the resolution, as the safety and care of my child were compromised. I requested a full refund of R1400 given that my child only attended for three days and did not receive proper care in addition his private part was not wiped properly. Your Response After the meeting, I was informed that I had falsely accused the crèche of negligence, based on a review of footage. However, this claim came only after I requested a refund, which feels like an attempt to avoid accountability. The crèche management also stated that I was "threatening them" when I mentioned seeking advice from the Department of Social Development (DCD). I strongly disagree with this characterization, as I am simply exercising my parental rights to ensure my child’s well-being and to hold the institution accountable. My Concerns Your justification that my 1-year-old “put his bottle down” as a reason for him not drinking enough liquids is unacceptable. At this age, it is the responsibility of adults to ensure children stay hydrated and nourished. The lack of supervision, as admitted by your staff, puts the safety of all children at risk. I cannot trust an institution that allows children to be left unattended, crying, and vulnerable. Resolution Requested I firmly believe I am entitled to a full refund of R1400 due to: Your failure to provide the agreed-upon service. Negligence in the care and supervision of my child. The breach of trust caused by these incidents. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will escalate my complaint to the Department of Social Development (DCD). I may also seek legal assistance to ensure accountability and to protect other children who may suffer under your care. I hope to resolve this matter amicably and expect a response to my request for a refund within 7 business days. Your negligence has already caused significant distress, and I trust you will take responsibility for this situation.

After paying our child's registration last year and communication with the admin staff we are now told that the school is full and our child cannot return. We have been sent from pillar to post by all admin staff and no one seems to take accountability and assist with our child's placement. This is really frustrating as we have trusted this school for years but now all that trust is down the drain

As a parent, I see all this negativity due to time management, I also have a child in CKC, from myself and numerous other parents, this is the overall best thing CKC could ever do, is the work on the time management from all centers, No where you allowed to arrive at work late everyday, no where you as parent will arrive late for church, no where you will arrive late when you have an doctor's appointment, no where you will arrive late for that home loan appointment, so why do you have to arrive late with your child for school, I though each and every parent put their child's safety and education as first priority, but clearly some parent don't care about that when you look at the reviews they write, wow I am totally in shock on how parents can write bad reviews but they the ones at fault, shift the blame as all can see your child is not even important enough to see that the child is in time for school, nevertheless now you want to shift the blame and say it's the Manager, I'm sorry I am also a CKC parent, and I put my child first by making sure, my child is at school at least half an hour before school start, that is the least I can give my child. Parents don't like certain rules. But if the child must get hurt or can not perform, watch CKC will also get the blame, then these parents will not say, I made it priority to have my child at school in time. I don't think you realize as a parent you showing you are not willing to give an extra 30 min a day to see your child gets at school in time. It's your responsibility not CKC.

Very disappointed with the Vukuthu Centre, on my way to Crèche as I was approaching I saw parents parking cars dropping their kids at school at exactly 08:02 When I got to the school gate was closed I rang the bell and shouted for Teacher even with kids inside could hear as they were repeating after me and I heard a teacher yelling at the kids to stop shouting I stood by the gate for a full good 5 mins with no help, I understand there’s a set time for gate closure but where is humanity to get to the reason of my running late, so we’re perfect not to have emergencies or unforeseen circumstances that might have led to the 2mins late? Had to return home with my child kind you I’m rushing for work there’s no one to look after her, I Got home at 08:08 tried to call the school but with no luck, yes you’re quick to say parents love to complain but we have to because of the school being unreasonable. All schools and even all companies have policies and procedures but kids are accepted even after closure time as no parent would ever bring their child to school late on purpose, you’re a total fail...in the world we live in not sure if the management together with the teachers know there’s high chance in the area where the centre is I could’ve been robbed or hurt whilst standing at the gate begging for them to open, you’re ridiculous.

No communication at all. Registered my child during an open day and paid reg fee last year already. I was given an address to go and purchase school uniform. Come January,my child's name is not on the list. That time I had already paid Jan school fees. I asked for refund on 10 Jan and it says 7 days timeframe but up until today no refund has been issued yet I had to look for another school for my child and pay school fees. Why register people when you know you are full already? Why even encourage them to buy school uniform ?Why ,huh?

Bad bad service unprofessional management, emotionally abusing children, we doing our payments online and send proof of payment to the school, the school confirms receipt of the proof, but today they're sending kids back home because they dont have hard copy of proof of payment. What happened to admin clerks? Poor management.
