Howard Bloomberg, is the CEO, Majority shareholder and director of Panelshelf 770 (Pty) Ltd t/a Danmar. He was the sole signatory of the bank account, he was the only one responsible for payments. He lives in his luxurious home while his staff have lost their homes because they couldn't pay their bonds or rent. He drives a luxurious Merc while his staff have lost their cars because they couldn't pay for them. He is having a hot meal while his staff are starving and don't have money to put food on their tables. He is responsible for children not going to school because their parents have not received their salaries so cannot buy uniforms or books. He is responsible for parents not being able to pay their childrens school fees so cannot attend school. He is responsible for staff members family members dying because they had no money to get their loved ones to hospital or the doctor. He is responsible for people who died on the operating table because of heart failure because of the stress he caused by not paying their salaries or medical aid. He is responsible for a staff member having a heart attack. He is responsible for Danmar Autobody failing. He is responsible for 5 branches closing. He is responsible for 228 people losing their jobs. He is responsible for not paying staff salaries from December to February, He deducted UIF, PAYE, MIBCO, Council levies, Medical aid from our salaries since August 2018 and never paid it over to the relevent institutions. He is responsible for owing suppliers millions of rands. He has opened another business in Wynberg. All the staff at Danmar have lost their provident funds from August 2018. He said if he goes down everyone will go down with him. He went to Mauritius multiple times in 2019. He went to Mauritius in December when he hadn't paid his staff and took R100000 for himself. He has promised to buy back Danmar and that all those supporting him will get their jobs back. He said he will pay everyone their salaries (two weeks ago). He blamed everyone else for stealing money (when he was the only one who had access to the money and bank accounts). If so why have they not been charged? He has paid off staff and given them false hope about Danmar. Danmar will be officially liquidated. This man has destroyed lives, homes, health, credibility and yet still believes he has done nothing wrong! He must be held accountable for his actions.

“The opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference” I have been without my car for a record 46 days! Three weeks of this has been due to my insurance validating my claim. To be fair, give or take a weekend, 25 or a few less of these days have been due to my car being with the repairers. Now I understand that there are processes involved in the repair process, but being ignored after asking for a APPROXIMATION of time that it would take to repair my car has left me disheartened! I didnt even ask for a exact timeline!! I need this information as I had my insurance provided rental for a month, and subsequently borrowed (“payed a princely sum for the use of”) a friends car while I wait, wait and wait! All that I need to know is HOW MUCH LONGER it will take to repair my car so that I can arrange alternate transport!!!!!!!!! I work in the medical field and thus I NEED transport! The issue is not the quality of repair, and possibly not even the timeline, it is more the LACK OF COMMUNICATION!!!!!!!

I took my car to this people in July 2019 for repairs. I paid them cash. I had to wait for 2 months for the car to be fixed even though the damage was just a rear bumper and tail light. After 2 months of waiting, I got the car back, within a week the paint was stripping on the body of the car, the bumper was also moving when I am driving and also the pdc holder was not fitted. I called a lady by the name Jessica, she asked me to bring the car back. I took it back the next day only to be called after 3 days to come and fetch the car because they do not have a toner to fix the paint and I was going to be called once it arrived. I fetched and waited again I kept calling till 25 January, Jessica told me to bring the car in. I left the car on the 26 of January again I was called on 29 to collect the car as the paint is not there. I fetched the car for the 2nd time. I escalated the matter to Warren who I was told is the manager. He asked to bring the car in as he will make sure its attended. I left the car on 15th of February and today is the 27th of February. The car has not been attended yet. I am now told that the spray painter guy has not been to work since I left the car there. The attitude I am getting from the panelbeater is disgusting. I have to be the one always following after this people and every day is a different story. I paid them cash last year now they don't care about the damage they caused to my car. IF YOU ARE BLACK, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PEOPLE OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE TREATED AS TRASH ONCE YOU PAY

I took my car to this people in July 2019 for repairs. I paid them cash. I had to wait for 2 months for the car to be fixed even though the damage was just a rear bumper and tail light. I took my car in for repairs at the Danmar autobody in Boksburg a month ago. The repairs on my car weren't that bad, they ordered the parts before my car arrived. they were suppose to take out the damaged parts and replace them with the new ones. When the repairs started they told me they needed to get authorization for additional parts, they only realized that after a few weeks with my car in their possession. so we waited for the parts for about two weeks to arrive, when I phoned to check on the progress on my car. they didn't answer the phone, I drove there to find an empty workshop with only the manager Lee present. The penal beater had shutdown with my car in their possession. They didn't even inform the insurance about the shutdown, I had to inform my insurance. They made the arrangement to move my car to the danmar in JHB with all the parts. The Danmar auto in JHB waited for about another week for my documents before they could do any work to my car. Whenever I phone to check on the progress, they tell me the car is in assembly, its been it assembly for the whole week. I phoned again today and the lady said they only have two guys in their assembly department. I'll be glad the day my car is returned to me and once I do get my get back im changing insurances. it seems Oakhurst is happy with this shady penalbeater.

DO NOT use Danmar Ophirton Jhb. My car has been there for 3 months by order from my insurance company Oakhurst. After being very patient with both of them I decided to drive through to the panel eater to go see what was going on with my car. I was told that my car was in the assembly bay and they were waiting for 1 part. Of course more lies upon arrival. Just to eventually find out that the business is under business rescue. There was hardly any employees left. The Manager refuses to talk to clients. Trust me I tried. I just don't understand why they just didn't tell me to come collect my car or informed the insurance? Did they really think the owner was just going to let the car stand there for another year? And how does the Insurance company not even know this? They are now adamant I need to still get my car fixed by the same panelbeaters. Not even a different branch. The exact same one that is under business rescue with hardly any employees. Obviously this is costing me a fortune because I still owe the ban****

Last year I received poor service from this company, forwarded a complaint and my vehicle was then urgently attended to and I also received a call from the Manager Warren, who promised me that they would fix the error going forward(error being that they don't have automatic vehicles and they will communicate better with clients) and as an apology offered I come back to for minor scratch removal and polish of my car at any time in the near future. I received my car back in July and then by September 2019 the paintwork had started to peel. I was not upset about this as maybe things were rushed, I then sent out a message to Danmar to request they fix the paintwork and also do the courtesy scratch removal and polish. For over two months I couldn't get an automatic car and as I cannot use a manual due to an operation on my knee, Warren then confirmed that we shouldn't wait for an automatic anymore I should simply book my vehicle in and a driver will drop me at work and pick me up as all this was a day work. This was in December 2019, I now sit in February 2020, simply trying to book in my vehicle, I have contacted them and sent Warren a detailed message on the 31st of February 2020 and I have received no response. There is zero communication at Danmar, right up to Managerial level, you have to keep following up and this is now frustrating as I now need to seel the car but cannot do so with a car that has poor workmanship, this company is constantly disappointing and continuously frustrating to deal with

This panel beater has had my car for 7 weeks now for a job which was estimated to take 9 days! They don't communicate, so you have to guess weather they are still operational or not. They don't respond to messages, they brush customers off and they don't care about the inconvenience they cause the customer. Do yourself a favour and REFUSE when your insurer wants to take your car to Danmar Autobody West Rand

This panel beater has had my car for 7 weeks now for a job which was estimated to take 9 days! They don't communicate, so you have to guess weather they are still operational or not. I was crashed into by a driver who had no licence. My car was damaged (the bumper) but it drove just fine. I was informed by Oakhurst Insurance (which deserves it's own one-star review) that I will be paying a fee for the damages after my car has been repaired at Danmar Autobody Eastrand. Fair, so I agreed. I was informed of an estimated waiting time and perhaps +three weeks after that, did I have to keep phoning and asking for feedback, I was first informed that it is in quality control. A good few days after that I had to phone, AGAIN for feedback as my request to be informed about my car was ignored. Upon my call, I was told, that "something was wrong under the car"...They are waiting for feedback from my Oakhurst insurance to see if they can get it fixed. I give it a few days and then phone again asking desperately, what is actually going on? .. I was informed that Oakhurst can do nothing to help (oh, the surprise) and that Danmar will be preparing the car to be dropped off at my house, on Monday. I phone on Monday morning to ask about the delivery of my car and I am told they are short on drivers this morning, they will try for the afternoon. They will call me back. I am a very very patient and understanding person so I wait and eventually call in the late afternoon since I have heard nothing. I am told that there were no drivers and the car will be delivered tomorrow. I call on the Tuesday morning because I know if I do not pester them, they will not give a care. I am informed that finally my car will be on the way shortly. My house is approximately 15 minutes away from Danmar and I am informed by the driver that he is on his way and will be at my house in 20 minutes. OVER TWO HOURS LATER, the driver arrives and again, I am polite and understanding as I understand getting lost and things like that. BUT...He drops off my car and tells me that it is basically not to be driven. Packs up and leaves. I start my car and put it into gear and it can barely go anywhere. This is s 2016 VW Polo Vivo. This car was driving fine when I drove it to the panelbeaters. I call the panelbeaters and tell them that I have commitments to life, I have been without my car for longer than it should have been, I have paid all of the money upfront, I was patient and polite and now after all this, my car gets brought to me and I can not even use it. I call Oakhurst Insurance and they tell me that I am not insured for mechanical damage....This is all on me. (After a fortune in paying insurance every month) I do what I can and I take my car to a trusted mechanic, he shows me how the gearbox was not even tightened in properly, there were *****s and bolts rolling around. The bolts could not even tighten because they had stripped the holes and just left them in there, hoping nobody would notice. I later get a call from the manager as I am really not a satisfied customer and he asks me .."Are you sure you did not drive over something at sometime?.." ..I reiterated that I drove to the panelbeaters so it was not damaged like this when I brought it in. They had tried to tell me to make a second claim with Oakhurst (I would rather hack my own arm off, 127 Hours style) then deal with Oakhurst Insurance or Danmar Autobody. I had told them that I will be fixing my car through my own means and left it at that. I don't understand why and how people can wake up everyday and deliver the most lackadaisical work such as this. I do not often voice my concern or complaint so openly but we as customers who have no choice but to put in our time, effort, emotion and money into things, we deserve a fair deal. Not to be ripped-off and left helpless.
