Dip n dip canal walk was an awful experience and a complete waste of money.. we took our kids there Sunday the 27th November and ordered 2 x number 2 on the list and 1 X number 3 (The blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup and cream ) . The blueberry syrup so much that it was overflowing the plate, like they literally just emptied out their last container over my kids pancakes! Anyway.. we called the waiter and explained that my kids cannot eat this as all the syrup is burning their throat, I asked if it can be re-done but as a take away as we had to leave. 10 minutes later we had our new order and left, we got home only to see that the replacement was 4 x dry pancakes and 1 small tub golden syrup. Are you serious???? Did I just pay R90 for this? They could have at leats added a substitute fruit in ace of blueberries to make it at least LOOK worth R90!! Never again though.. would definitely not recommend!!!

After viewing a tick tock video I couldn’t wait to try Dip n dip. Apparently an international company we came across the branch in canal walk and was greeted warmly upon entrance and that is where the good news ends… We ordered the chocolate pancakes and chocolate fondue with sides. 1 of the main sides (cream puffs) was not in stock - as on a Monday afternoon after 1pm their stock hadn’t arrived yet- we were offered a replacement which in fact was pineapple and they were out of stock too. We were the only 2 people in the restaurant, after 20min I noticed the pancakes were ready to be served but were just on the counter while the waiter and the manager ran out to pick and pay to buy ready cut pineapple and charge us the exorbitant price for the fondue. At this point we had been waiting for 40min and only received our bottled water which we were forced to buy because the owner refuses to serve tap water with lemon and ice. We decided to cancel everything. The manager was so unprofessional coming from pick n pay thinking she saved the day but we were not interested to stay. I would never recommend dip n dip to anyone. Your money best spent somewhere else.

The waiters are rude, arrogant and disrepectful - I will never support the branch at canal walk again. We ordered dessert, hot chocolate and coffee. Before the dessert came I told the waiter that I want the beverage to be brought with the dessert. I did not initially tell him this, I did however tell him before he brought the hot drinks. He responded that I should have told him when I placed the order. I asked him whether the dessert was going to come as well, to which he did not respond. I then reiterated that I want the drinks with the dessert. Why is the onus on the customer to tell the waiter how to do his / her job, onus is on the waiter to ask if he does not know . Further, to me it would be common sense to have your coffee with the dessert but clearly this particular waiter lacks common sense in addition to being rude. He then proceeded to augue with me in front of the other customers. I was beyond upset and said that I will not tip to which he responded, you can keep your tip. When I paid, I wrote my complaint at the back of the slip, the two female waiters at the counter laughed and made a snide remark about how I'm writing a diary. The male waiter took the slip and crumbled it up in front of me. When I then asked to speak to the Manger, I was told by the two females that the male waiter was in fact the manager. As a female, to be spoken to and treated the way I was treated is beyond disgusting. The arrogance displayed is very concerning and as an attorney who studied the consumer protection act, the customer service I received was a joke. Instead of trying to remedy the situation, they laughed because to them its a joke and that to me, shows their level of their intelligence if any at all. Very very disappointed in dip and dip Canal Walk.

We got to dip n dip in V&A for something sweet since my husband is back in South Africa after being away for 3 months. We were hoping to get something that would satisfy our sweet craving. Got to the “reception”, was shown our table and were seated. We were 6 adults and a 2 year old, nothing was child friendly. We had to grab another seat for her to sit. We were handed menus that were torn apart, and sat for about 20 minutes. No one came to our table to introduce themselves as our waiter, nothing the service was horrendous!!!
