This is the worst company ever. They qre so quick to take your money but when ita time to take out money its a problem. Im suffering drom a very setious chronic illness and my claim was declined. I am sooo livid. They dont care about anyone, they just care about making money. I have been with Discovery health since 2002 amd Discovery life since 2017. So upset.

This company refused to pay my Provident fund, it's been more than 2 years now even after PFA approved it. I am very heartbroken, and I cannot express my feelings here. No communication, not timeline , just silence and benefiting by keeping my money

There is a pending claim: Group scheme name: NTT Group Group scheme number: 6600001385 Member name: Mr. M Baloi My late father (passed away 2016) had joined an educational cover and they only contacted us in my final year of university(2023). For approximately the past 3 years they’ve been requesting proof of payments and other documents. My mother and I emailed EVERYTHING we could find but some stuff that they want date back to 2015. There is no solution going forward we’re almost at the end of 3 years in this back and fourth. I still expect the claim to be processed as it is due to me. Discovery manages my companies pension scheme. All emails just get autorespond telling me how important delivering a good service to me is. Then a further email telling me to send email to different address. No substantive response. Phone calls provide no useful information. No confidence they can manage investments. Stay away!

Discovery has treated my family very poorly during this claim process. I have been waiting over several weeks for a response on my claim. The Discovery consultants I speak to on the phone are very dismissive and rude to say the least. When I ask to speak to the manager or the person responsible for my claim , I am told they are in meetings and are not available. I regret every having an employer benefit policy with Discovery.

The Employee benefits dash board gas been saying "the member zone is temporarily unavailable " for the past three months. Can the intellectuals at discovery please explain what temporary mean in discovery terms coz three months CAN NOT be temporary

I fell ill in January 2024 and I was unable to perform well at my job and I was booked off sick after being diagnosed and went through over 10 surgeries for 3 conditions. I depleted my sick leave and my employer couldn't pay me my salary for almost 9 months, I'm also not sure how I survived an entire year without a salary. I was covered under Discovery Life income continuation benefit by my employer but even now, my insurer doesn’t want to approve my claim, for unknown reasons. They're asking me redundant questions, trying to make it seem like this is a pre-existing condition when my medical reports, admissions and their date of disability prove that this particular condition I'm claiming for affected my performance and my ability to work and was a condition diagnosed in January 2024 and not 2021. An OT named Kim Cawood has been nothing but difficult throughout the process and dealing with Discovery Life has been nothing but horrible ever since my employer submitted my claim in October of 2024. They first declined my claim from a non-medical perspective, I appealed and waited 45 working days, reminded them about my claim and they still asking me stupid questions and keep on deferring the claim and requesting reports that I have to pay for that are non-existent prior to August 2023. With what money when I don't have a salary. Having Discovery Life as an insurer has been nothing but horrible. I am still waiting on a claim submitted in October of 24, now it's June of 2025

Can someone call me back from Group Risk urgently please. My payment usually reflects after 5pm on the 20th but today it's almost 7 and has not reflected yet. Sindiso confirmed yesterday that it had been processed and would be paid but I am still waiting and it's a long weekend.
