Good day, I trust you are well. On 24 January 2026, my iPhone 11, which I purchased from Makro, unexpectedly switched off. The device was charged, did not fall, and sustained no damage; it simply went blank. This situation is particularly concerning as I contacted your contact centre multiple times between July 2025 and January 2026 to request an invoice/proof of purchase in order to insure the device. Unfortunately, despite numerous calls, Makro failed to provide this documentation. At the time of purchase, the phone carried a 12-month warranty. I am therefore requesting that Makro arrange to collect the device from the following address as soon as possible: PE I attempted to log a return online, but the system did not allow me to proceed. I also logged a return under reference number 2C4P4, which was rejected without any explanation. Since the incident, I have contacted your call centre six times, incurring costs of approximately R300, as I could not access my number due to not having a working phone. New reference number: 2CE5U Given the difficulty and frustration experienced throughout this process, I am requesting a full refund to my account. I do not want a repair or replacement. I fell ill in January 2024 and I was unable to perform well at my job and I was booked off sick after being diagnosed and went through over 10 surgeries for 3 conditions. I depleted my sick leave and my employer couldn't pay me my salary for almost 9 months, I'm also not sure how I survived an entire year without a salary. I was covered under Discovery Life income continuation benefit by my employer but even now, my insurer doesn’t want to approve my claim, for unknown reasons. They're asking me redundant questions, trying to make it seem like this is a pre-existing condition when my medical reports, admissions and their date of disability prove that this particular condition I'm claiming for affected my performance and my ability to work and was a condition diagnosed in January 2024 and not 2021. An OT named Kim Cawood has been nothing but difficult throughout the process and dealing with Discovery Life has been nothing but horrible ever since my employer submitted my claim in October of 2024. They first declined my claim from a non-medical perspective, I appealed and waited 45 working days, reminded them about my claim and they still asking me stupid questions and keep on deferring the claim and requesting reports that I have to pay for that are non-existent prior to August 2023. With what money when I don't have a salary. Having Discovery Life as an insurer has been nothing but horrible. I am still waiting on a claim submitted in October of 24, now it's June of 2025
Takealot advised a webcam as a 1080p but it's actually 720p and now declined my return because it's not in the original package when the person who came to fetch it stated that it's not going to be a problem as long as it's not damaged, which it is not. I want my money back. Stop wasting my time.
I've been working in medical aid long in enough to notice and resent horrible service especially from a health care provider. On the 10th of November I resembled a trobbing headache with unbearable joint pain and abdominal pain while on my way to Butterworth(my parents) I specifically told the doctors this has been persistent even after my Ovarian Cysts procedure and Kidney Stones treatment. I was angry when I got to Life St Georges because the physician there only came to a resolution that I've got tension from my work (which I last attended in a while) by just pressing on my muscles without any blood tests or investigative tests to find a diagnosis. I continued to head to Life Mercantile where I assured DR Shaahid Kajee that there must be a problem because I'm no longer sleeping even with my sleeping pills because I am in pain. I had already verbalized that my paid which is an antinflammatry and pain med isn't working anymore. He gave me a panado and prescribed further pain medication. This doctor appeared to be agitated and overworked, with no patience to do his job to investigate the matter. After 30 minutes of "investigating" he came back to me to state that blood tests are "perfectly fine" but to my surprise there is something totally different on my patient result sheet from pathcare. S-bicarbonate is critically low. My mind instantly reverts to metabolic acidosis which can be caused by diabetic ketoacidosis. Lower serum bicarbonate levels within the normal range are associated with kidney function decline. (I had specified that I've had kidney stone problems). C-reactive protein - indicating inflammation in my body which can be a sign of alot of health conditions. High levels of globulin- in the blood can indicate a number of conditions, including:infections, inflammatory diseases and Immune disorders, liver damage A high level of gamma-glutamyl transferase- can indicate liver damage or problems with your bile ducts If he had checked blood tests results dated the 6th of November, he would have seen that there were positive nitrite indicating an UTI... Doctors that I pay for from my own damn pocket will do their outmost best to solve my medical issues whether they "like it" or not. Gone are the days where black people weren't socially aware and educated. I know for a fact that treating a patient in severe pain isn't the easiest task but, how am I still perishing in pain 2 days after I saw a Physian and GP from your hospital/s? I am requesting the business to investigate the matter. Unfortunately I won't be paying for any of the services done on that day unless Doctors/team does a root cause analysis. The doctor advised to do a head CT scan for the headache, when have a CT scan ever confirmed a headache/migraine? It just eliminates serious conditions such as stroke and head bleeding. A CT scan is often the first imaging test ordered for headaches because it's quick, easy to use, and widely available. However, CT scans expose patients to a low dose of radiation, so their use should be limited. Also, CT scans can't diagnose migraines. Your highly paid doctors are lazy. Why couldn't an MRI be done? What's not going to happen is having to go to a private hospital to pay for ineffiecient treatment, I should have gone to Dora or even Butterworth hospital. The business needs to get back to me with an investigative solution as I am still in this predicament. Prescribed meds aren't working and I am not going to pay for another ER claim or any claim for that matter while my problem is still lingering. Bolt charged me for a trip that didn't happen an entire R144. No driver was allocated to me, they debited my account and I was left unsafe and with no other money to request with. For people who say they are promoting women protection, they very inconsiderate. I tried to contact the support team and tried calling (with a low battery) I didn't get through. The time is exactly 21:18. I am so mad! This is exactly why people prefer Uber compared to Bolt because when is my money going to be reversed?
I wouldn’t recommend mtn as a provider. Paid for my account (Wi-Fi) on the 30th, 4 agents could see and confirmed payment but suspension hasn’t been lifted. There is no way money that was paid in store which reflected on the same day,can not result to Unsuspension being lifted. A refund request isn’t an option because it apparently takes 21 working days to be processed. I am not happy at all and quite disappointed . This is my 4th review with no interim feedback provided as it is now over 10 working days with no refund reflecting on my bank account. This is the most disgusting service. I want my money because you’ve never experienced any issues when debiting the funds from my account.
I’ve been doing a back and forth with Rain since beginning of November. I requested my refund on the 16th of November but it was only confirmed beginning of December after various emails and phone calls. It has been over 5-7 days, over TAT and I still have not received my refund. I am livid to say the least.
