We book for for Easter week there were some few things we were not happy about no aircon, they overcharge us.I forget my bag there inside there 3 shades when I call receptionist she did confirm that we left it there she will call us but ne never did we I call they don't answer anymore

Bookings.com advertised a place called Manor house at 81 Manor Drive, Berea, Durban, 4091, South Africa Upon arrival there the place was different from the pictures. It was not cleaned the bathroom doors cannot close. The windows has short curtains. There is mold Fungi on the ceiling and walls. They offered me R2600.00 of the R17000.00 that I have paid. I was so shutter I was with my family including a toddler so u can imagine the life risk I had taken as I was forced to sleep in there for one night and there after forfeit the rest as I could not continue sleeping there. The owner was clear to say that there will be no refund. I still have pictures and photos that I have sent to bookings.com to update their adverti*****t

Bookings.com advertised a place called Manor house at 81 Manor Drive, Berea, Durban, 4091, South Africa Upon arrival there the place was different from the pictures. I wasn't happy with the place,it's not as clean as it is in their pictures,the rooms had ****roaches 😭😭,I'm talking about big ****roaches, imagine having to kill ****roaches ina hotel room and their staff where not helpful,they were rude a d took us from piller to post when we wanted to see the manager and complain to him directly,we moved to a another room the next day and I forgot my bathing gloves and I never got them back and they claimed housekeeping don't know anything about it.

Security and safety is pathetic. My car got stolen yesterday at the hotel with all my valuables including a laptop. The security gate was open for thieves to freely enter and steal my car in under 10 minutes. Under camera surveillance, there was no security guard in sight which makes safety a serious concern.

We booked online, based on a photo on the website. No problem with booking process. On arrival we were HORRIFIED - the room is so old, the bed base was broken, the room was smelly (just an old and unkempt smell) - the email booking said that there would be a hairdryer and based on this I didn't bring my own. NO hairdryer. They told me that nowhere does it state hairdryer. I showed them my booking and they didn't know what to do. It was also stated that there is a restaurant on the premises which was the main reason we chose them as we had an early start the next day. Guess what - no restaurant, we were told to go 'South Beach' !!! Imagine - where all the crime happens. NO mini-bar as advertised. The sheets felt damp the same way the room smelled. We went to reception and just told them that we could not stay under those circumstances. I would like my money back. They need to update their photos and what they say you get. When we handed the key in, they didn't offer a room change, money back, nothing. They just sat there and looked at us. SHOCKING.

We had a business meeting in Johannesburg a week ago and needed a hotel for an overnight stay. We got suggestions from the Agoda site about Riverton manor hotel' home away from home only better' We checked in that night and was absolutely disappointed. The beddings were filthy and not changed since the last couple stayed over, quite evident with all the bodily fluids on the blankets and bed sheets. After the long drive we looked forward to a hot shower which we didnt do either and the shower cubicle was also filthy. I added a review on their Facebook page to which I received a response saying their rooms are always clean and they had checked the room the morning after our stay and there was nothing wrong, thank goodness we had taken photos of the room and bathroom and sent it to them. They then sent an email apologising for the state of the room and the excuse was that they had to cut down on cleaning staff because of the current covid 19 lockdown. This to me was unacceptable and unprofessional as nobody should have to pay to sleep in that sort of filth!
