I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding my recent stay at the Durban Point Waterfront. Despite our excitement for this visit, our experience was marred by several significant issues that have left us deeply dissatisfied: 1. **Poor Communication:** Throughout our stay, we had to contact reception about 20 times before we received any response. This level of service is unacceptable. 2. **Late Check-In:** We were not allowed to check in even 30 minutes early and had to wait until 14:00. When we finally did, our room was still being cleaned, with staff mopping, cleaning windows, and sweeping the balcony. 3. **Air Conditioning Issues:** The air conditioning in our room was not working. Despite informing two staff members who checked it, we were told to wait another hour for it to cool down, which it never did. 4. **Unhygienic Conditions:** Due to the heat and humidity, and our tired 1-year-old and 11-year-old children, we reluctantly accepted a downgrade to a canal view room instead of the Harbour view room we had booked. This room was priced the same, yet we were still charged the original price. Within less than an hour of settling in and putting my one-year-old son down for a nap, we discovered that the linen had not been changed, with visible urine stains from the duvet cover to the sheets and base. The supervisor confirmed these were old stains, which is entirely unacceptable and unhygienic. When the cleaner came, she claimed to have changed the linen, which is highly concerning. This situation is so disappointing that it makes one wish the staff could undergo polygraph tests. 5. **Lack of Towels:** Additionally, there were no towels provided in the room, and we had to wait for 2 hours before receiving them. 6. **Unpleasant Staff:** The staff were rude and unhelpful, and when we raised these issues, they simply stated they were too busy. This level of customer service is not acceptable. 7. **Dirty Environment:** The area in front of our door was dirty, with bin packets and other debris as we entered, further contributing to the unpleasant experience. This has been the worst stay we have ever had, and it is not what we expected from an establishment like Durban Point Waterfront. We chose your accommodation based on its reputation and were incredibly let down by the reality of our experience, despite booking this stay 2-3 weeks in advance. I got feed back from durban point water front and they blame my innocent kids. I have pics of linen with old and dry urine stains as mother this is truly sad. Even supervisor from durban point water front said it was old and dry. Customer service very poor.

I booked an apartment for 4 people and paid a deposit. I had to cancel my booking because of unforeseen circumstances. I cancelled on the 20th of May but to this date I have not received my refund. I called the hotel and was told to wait 14 days then I will get the money but nothing. When I called again I was told to send an email, of which I did but there is no response or acknowledgment of my email. Hello Peter please help.

I booked an apartment for 4 people and paid a deposit. I had to cancel my booking because of unforeseen circumstances. I cancelled on the 20th of May but to this date I have not received my refund. I called the hotel and was told to wait 14 days then I will get the money but nothing. When I called again I was told to send an email, of which I did but there is no response or acknowledgment of my email. Hello Peter please help.

The service was excellent, from the receptionists, to the cleaners and security personnel. I am definitely going back there with my family.

I booked the accommodation for me and my partner for his birthday this past weekend,I must say I was welcomed and treated well,Nomi and the Supervisor whom I forgot her name are very professional and the service there is beyond excellent .I will recommend people to book there, The apartments are beautiful, clean and peaceful. The bedding is on point the balcony view is heavenly. The level of service i received there I would rate it 10000000000!!!!thank you for making our stay perfect. I will be coming back and recommend people to book there .thank you Durban Point waterfront apartment keep the good work!

This place is ridiculous I was asked for account number for a refund which I sent several times but they go and refund me to cards that are inactive. Management better sort this issue immediately and reverse the monies owed to me

I booked this accommodation on the 25th of June 2021 on the 26th of June 2021 the President announced level 4 restriction. We can't travel out of Gauteng for lesuire to other provinces. On the 27th of June 2021 I have been trying to cancel of postpone my reservation until the restrictions are lifted the hotel won't respond toy emails, they don't take my calls, they don't respond to my text. I don't know what to do anymore.

Booked a 3 bedroom with a hot tub. I checked in at 6.30pm and left by 9pm. No hot water in the apartment at all. Aircon was not cool at all. Blowing air. Looks like the maintenance overall is poor. A guy came up playing with the tap and aircon for 1 hour. Thats not the worst of it. The next day: You expect the manager to give you a courtesy call to say sorry. Dont expect anything from management, they denying me a refund due to me giving them a negative review. I hope this review saves you from a nightmare experience.

Booked a 3 bedroom with a hot tub. I checked in at 6.30pm and left by 9pm. No hot water in the apartment at all. Aircon was not cool at all. Blowing air. Looks like the maintenance overall is poor. A guy came up playing with the tap and aircon for 1 hour. Thats not the worst of it. The next day: You expect the manager to give you a courtesy call to say sorry. Dont expect anything from management, they denying me a refund due to me giving them a negative review. I hope this review saves you from a nightmare experience.

Most horrible experience ever! No hand sanitizer, no hand towels and no hand soap provided in apartment! Totally against Covid protocols! When I complained to the GM, Angie, I was told that they fumigate the apartment and only provide sanitizer at the reception and do not provide sanitizer in the apartment as it is self catering! Furthermore, the door and bed is broken, no proper utensils in the kitchen, place has a funny odour and overall the place is very poorly maintained and no value for money! The manager Angie offered me a credit as I had to leave the place early due to a family emergency, and insisted on a credit instead of a refund as they do not provide refunds. After much reluctance I accepted the credit and received in writing on email from Angie the credit offered to me and indicating that I could rebook within a 12 month period. I then proceeded to provide a review of my experience on the booking platform and gave honest feedback of exactly what I encountered while at the property. I was then sent a very nasty response from Angie accusing me of having “malicious intentions” and that due to me giving them a poor review, my credit has been revoked! I have never encountered such unprofessional and unscrupulous behavior! I would never recommend this place to anyone!
