They deducted an amount from my deposit for damage for an engine cover that was broken. For all of you who have hired vehicles before, i have never seen any inspectors look under the car before the car is taken away. At drop off, suspiciously the inspector looked under the car and then they deducts the amount of my deposit as "i didnt notice this at inspection during pick up so im responsible as i then probably damaged the car" Suggest to avoid Tempest Car Hire on your next holiday Hope this benefits my fellow customers.
Booked a 3 bedroom with a hot tub. I checked in at 6.30pm and left by 9pm. No hot water in the apartment at all. Aircon was not cool at all. Blowing air. Looks like the maintenance overall is poor. A guy came up playing with the tap and aircon for 1 hour. Thats not the worst of it. The next day: You expect the manager to give you a courtesy call to say sorry. Dont expect anything from management, they denying me a refund due to me giving them a negative review. I hope this review saves you from a nightmare experience.
My parents bought my kid a swing set as a gift for her birthday from toys r us. The gift is worth R4000. My wife and I set up the swing and noticed it wasnt really great So we packed it away and boxed it up in the same order for return I get to the store and they turn me back to day i opened it so they cant entertain a return/exchange Toys R Us have a 60 day exchange policy but dont be fooled by this. The policy is only for defected goods or unused Its quite misleading to allow for such a long period to change defective or unused products I asked them, how am i supposed to know if i like something or not if i dont set it up? They said we have a store display, but we all know you can't put your child on the store demo. Anyway my advice is rather purchase on takealot.com who have an amazing return policy that gives power back to the customer. They fetch the item from you free of charge. Dont find yourself out of pocket with these traditional stores who dont seem to understand customer loyalty .
1. Initial cover - Received a call from Ucovered (a representative of Discovery Life) to sell me short term vehicle insurance in February 2. Rejected claim - On 23rd July i had an accident on my vehicle and on 4th August, Discovery rejected my claim on the basis of no premium for July. 3. Notifications - Discovery insure sent correspondence to Ucovered the broker who did not send it to me at all during July (Quite suspicious) as i receive all other correspondence from Discovery directly. 4. Ucovered - Not admitting liability and saying i should have been aware of unpaid status 5. Reason for insufficient funds in Bank account - No cash back rewards for fuel and driving less discounts given - due to technical error from Ucovered and unauthorised debit order off my account 6. Im sitting with my car at panelbeaters telling me i need to come up with R100,000 claim money or R15,000 release fees Dont go near Discovery insure or their brokers Ucovered: Very suspicious business practises They seem to want to debit your account last - latter part of the day (on the 1st) They direct notifications of uninsured status for brokers email Once they reject your claim, they dont take any calls or queries Also they insure your crashed vehicle and continue to debit you _THE END_
Bought a Samsung 49"SMART TV from Game in the Gateway store in Durban on 27th June. I opened the tv a week later to find the LCD is damaged. I take it to game store. They said they are checking cameras to see if the TV was checked in store, i waited an hour until the manager comes out to tell me a whole lot of excuses: CPA rules Too long i took to bring it They dont check tvs all the time, like black friday He cnt return it, he will book it with Samsung for repair Very bad service. I am out of pocket over R5000 Keep away from this store is good advice
Baggage handler tells me i need to a name change due to a letter being mispelled for a flight at 6am at 5.40am. 300 bucks...then sends for wheelchair assistance for my granny at a cool 6.45 am. Poor service, Bid Air.
6am flight.. Make me do a name change at 5.30am, one letter spelled wrong. 300 bucks! Supervisor used no discretion and clerk was incpmpetent in discretion. Wheelchair assistance for my granny strolls in at a cool 5.45 am, when boarding gates are closing. Bad bad experience, please avoid mango at all costs.
