Very disappointed with Durban South Panelbeaters. I phoned beforehand to confirm how their process works. I was clearly told that walk-ins for quotations are allowed, no insurance details are required, and there is no charge for an assessment. Based on this, I sent my employee to their premises on my behalf. Upon arrival, the story completely changed. My employee was told that payment is required upfront and that insurance details are mandatory. This was the exact opposite of what I was told over the phone. When this was raised, there was no accountability taken. Leah (administration) and Kevin (assessor) were dismissive and unprofessional, and Kevin in particular was rude. Very poor communication and a complete waste of time. I would not recommend using this company.

I had my car fixed at Durban South Panelbeater in December, and I’m extremely happy with the results — the car looks brand new. I really appreciate that the team went above and beyond by taking care of small TLC items in addition to the original fix. The quality of workmanship truly shows their attention to detail. However, I would have appreciated being informed earlier about these additional fixes, as the access final cost was higher than I initially expected and did catch me by surprise, which unfortunately had a negative impact on my December holiday plans. Overall, Durban South Panelbeater delivers excellent service and quality work. A special mention to Mel and Godfrey at the front desk for their warm, welcoming, and consistently friendly service — it made the experience even better. Highly recommended.

<div>My vehicle was sent by Discovery Insurance to DSPB for repair. The collision occurred on 26/12/24. On 31/01/25 I received an email from Discovery to say my vehicle was in the paint prep phase. Subsequent to this I contacted the service provider and was informed telephonically that it would take 7 working days. I followed up on the 7th and was told it would take another 7 working days. I've followed up today (17/02/2025) and been now told it would another 7-10 working days. I am extremely disappointed in the service provided by DSPB and by Discovery Insurance in choosing such a company.</div>

Please don’t ever take your car to get fixed at this place ,my brothers car has been there since April 2024 it’s end of August now. Every month is a different story .They say the car will be ready on a certain date , the date comes only for them to tell us the car isn’t ready…this is still short blah blah every month for the past 4 months, if the had too much work they could have referred the insurance to another panel beaters , but the cannot finish the work on time , now they telling us the battery is faulty mind you the car was brand new from the garage model DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please if you want peace and your car back in time

Please don’t ever take your car to get fixed at this place ,my brothers car has been there since April 2024 it’s end of August now. Very dissapointed with Durban South Panelbeaters Sydey Road. I was so dissapointed with the unprofessionalism and dishonesty. Worst service from Godfrey, my car was towen in. It needed repair. Money was paid but Godfrey Dlomo informed me i needed to cough in more money. He kept giving me a run around when I questioned what was the extra money for, failed to explain and was dishonest where he is ordering the parts from. This guy took advantage because I am a female and lack some knowledge about the parts. Very dissapointed and would not recommend durban south panelbeaters.

I definitely didn't have anywhere near a good experience with this Panel Beater. It was an insurance job but for the amount they got paid it wasn't anywhere descent enough. Daylight ******* I'd say. Employers very lazy and very unprofessional. Even asking me as a client to lend them money. Before making any arrangements with them please think twice.

THE WORST EVER Panel Beating shop I personally have EVER BEEN TOO. And this is coming from a guy who's in the transport industry and my vehicles have been to many different Panel Shops. Accident that happened over a year ago and still they have not done a good job. Some parts still waiting for delivery, Poor customer service, not doing a good job, excuses upon excuses, laziness, being untidy with your car, service advices asking you to borrow you money and the list goes one. Don't also get fooled if you've made a complaint to the manager and he acts shocked and surprised and says he'll sort it out. It's a ****. Just a trick they do to calm you down just to make you more of a fool. I would Highly recommend anyone to PLEASE not take their car there. I should of listened to my insurer when they said I must "TAKE THE CAR THERE AT MY OWN RISK". Unfortunately I learned the hard way. I can't speak for everyone as some others may have had a better experience but from my side STAY AWAY.
