If you have a Policy with Emerald life i would advise you to cancel it Asap because once you claim they will do an investigation calling everyone in the family disclosing all sorts of information once that doesnt work they will tell you we dont do a payout of more than R50 000 and they have reached that amount because they know you won’t ask who did you pay it to…they are a big **** if you ask me im speaking from experience they did this to me after 5years of insuring with them.people need to be warned about this company.

I wrote a complaint last year Dec about my policy CA20055950. They didn't deduct the premium for 3 months from my persal after that I had to pay over the counter at Ackerman's store (R450.00). instead of them reviving the policy or refunding my premiums they only send a refund of R450.00 I don't know what happened to the rest of my money that I paid for+- 5years. I won't stop sending them emails until they paid all my premiums.

I wrote a complaint last year Dec about my policy CA20055950. Emerald life is by far the worst service provider I made countless phone calls trying to submit a claim I went to the Durban branch on Saturday and it was closed due to renovation and that the only branch in Durban not to mention the countless phone calls with no claims form being emailed to me the last person I spoke by the name of Lisa was so unprofessional it’s appalling.Im in disbelief at the service absolutely the worst Emerlad life is a **** I wouldn’t recommend it to no one

I joined Emeraldlife for my cousin in 2018 October. My cousin passed away in May 2024. I went to their offices to report the death and to arrange the transportation of the body. They transported the body very well. I put the claim every documents was submitted and the answer came back saying my claim was under investigation. I phoned the office to enquire the problem why claim was under investigation and I was told that there was an dispute in the policy. They asked me to wait 14 days to finish their investigation. Most of my families members was called by Emerald investigators and they also called me. They interrogated me as like I killed the person. On 2024 /05/22 I received a letter from them and they decline my claim on following basis: 1. The multi claims received for the deceased 2. The policy word Emeraldlife has powers to decline for police holder not to join the policy for the person if many people joined for him. Emeraldlife has duty to advise the client when taking policy. The phoning of many family members came to me as a humiliation and my dignity. I advising the people to be aware of what is happening at Emeraldlife because nobody is phoning me or communicating with me. They don't care about my metal status of me. I borrowed things for the funeral with the hope that when they pay my money I will pay the debt. Now I have to use my salary to pay those debt.

Sales Representatives of Emerald Life went from house to house informing in my village and pretended to be registering people for food parcels while they were signing them up for life covers They are now deducting money from these people who really cant afford much and are unwilling to cancel the policies without submitting further confidential data.
