I wear progressives. My eyes are very different from one another. I got a pair of transition glasses with ARC. They charged me R33,000!!! Being new to SA, I didn't know what to expect. I thought maybe this was the going rate until I spoke with others and learned that no one had ever heard of such a thing. This place is a complete *******. Buyer beware

After months of searching for the perfect spectacle frame, I ultimately decided on one from EyeQ at the V&A Waterfront. Regrettably, I couldn't fully enjoy these glasses because I experienced frequent headaches, and it wasn't until my recent visit to my optometrist that I understood why. After a back & through with team members and a store visit, I was not happy with the feedback and outcomes in trying to solve the issue with my spectecle frame. I received an after-hours call from one of the eyeQ partners on Wednesday, who took the time to understand my issue and offered his expertise and services. This gentleman dedicated himself during our appointment yesterday to resolve my issue with option 1 as prescribed by himself. If this does not work, we ahve option two and potentially option 3. I strongly recommend eyeQ to anyone tired of poor service delivery. Rest assured, you can know that they have your back and are a perfect turnkey eye specialist.

Regrettably, I couldn't fully enjoy these glasses because I experienced frequent headaches, and it wasn't until my recent visit to the optometrist that I understood why. My optometrist informed me that the EyeQ sales representative should have told me about the option to extend the temple length, as the current length was too short for my larger face. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue with EyeQ, they have shown no interest in taking responsibility for their oversight. Furthermore, their head office has completely ignored all of my emails. To make matters worse, due to their poor customer service, I am now expected to pay more than half the price of the glasses to purchase new temples. I strongly advise others to steer clear of this company, across all four of their branches, given their refusal to acknowledge their mistakes and their inadequate customer service.

5* service, 5* knowledge, 5* experience. We cannot believe how fantastic this company is and if you're searching for new specs or a deep-dive into an eye test, this is the place to visit. After a thorough eye test and appointment with one of the friendlies and best Optometrists we have ever met, we purchased two frames with new lenses. The special was buy one pair and receive one pair free. The range to select from was amazing and there were no extra high costs for the eye test, as most other places have. We received our new glasses IN LESS THAN 24-hours! Really a company that deserves to be thought of first for all your eye needs. SPECIAL MENTION: Simphiwe STORE: eyeQ Tygervalley

Veronica the optometrist has caused so much damage to my eyes by over prescribing glasses. I would suggest avoiding this branch at all costs. I first saw them in 2022. It was a comedy of errors from the start by giving me the incorrect lenses. She the fitted the correct lenses which were over prescribed and in her own words "for future compensation" I'm now having to see a ophthalmologist and vision the****** to correct my biocular diplopia. When I went to report my issues of double vision to her, instead of accessing me correctly she prescribed bifocals. 2 days later I said it's not my solution and requested a refund. She denied the refund instead sent me a ridiculous email and passed me off onto her collegue at a different branch "Canal Walk" They were much better but I still was not treated correctly for my symptoms. I left EyeQ Tygervalley R22000 down and have 2 new frames with my original prescription from 9 years ago. It's now cost me a further R18 000 to try to correct my eyes damaged by Veronica with her over prescribed lenses. Stay away.

Beautiful shop thats well stocked. Was besieged by a short, stocky girl in braces who ordered me around like a school teacher, spoke down to me and bulldozed over my every request. She was trying to force frame sales down my throat in a big way. Rude, know it all yet uneducated about optometry/different frames. When glancing around for a different salesperson, l noticed not a single black, white, coloured employee- these people employ ONLY muslims. Smacks of intense rascism to me, looks like some rascist employment policy at work here. I left as soon as l could get a word in edgewise with the salesgirl. Avoid...and AVOID the salesgirl with braces like the plague.

Extraordinarily poor service. Sold me a pair of R5,000 glasses frames that had a defect in the coating on the frame that was noticed by my optometrist. I returned the frames and they examined them and agreed to replace them. I left with the original frames as I needed them for daily use and was advised that a new pair would be ordered and that I would be contacted in 2 weeks. A month on I had not been contacted and I called in only to find out that my account had not been updated to show that the frames had been ordered and that no-one knew whether they had or had not in fact been ordered. I was promised a call back by the manager the following day following their further research. I did not receive this call and once again I am finding myself needing to chase them. This is clearly a case of nice store forget about the service. I do not recommend that you trust this store or this brand with your purchase as frankly they are incompetent and don't care. Poorly organised and barely managed they are a classic example of absent management and poor training. No COVID protocols were enforced in the store and the store exceeded the limit for the allowed number of customers at the time of my visit.

I have received multiple sms's from EyeQ to go get an eye test performed, normally within the first couple of days of the month. Every single sms has an option to reply No to opt out. Not to decline an appointment, but to opt out. I have replied with every combination of No that I thought might be required - "no", "No", "NO", No, NO, no - and I am still getting sms's. Awful IT service. Can't even block the number as it changes each time.
