No structural engineer certificate
Dear Reader Please do not use the services of FG Frameless Glass. I am based in Durban and 2 years later we are still awaiting the structural engineer certificate that we need for council approval. The Durban branch has since been closed down and the other locations do not provide support despite numerous phonecalls and emails. I would not use their services ever again!

No support under Warranty.
I have been trying to arrange a service call since mid December 2022. My frameless glass installation in Mount Edgecombe needs a repair under warranty. I have sent emails, spoke to both Johan's who promised to attend to the problem, I even left a message for Rudolph at the Head Office in Cape Town (twice) and still no action. This must be the worst after sales service I have ever encountered. Rumor has it that this business has closed but the receptionist in Cape Town insists that that is not the case. For all the support I'm receiving they might as well be closed.

Day light robbery
Worst decision I ever made using FG Frameless glass spent a small fortune and all I got was lies and excuses. Almost a year and a half of endless calling and messaging my doors are not completely working properly. Latches don't work so wind blows our doors open and the sound they make when opening and closing is beyond eardrum piercing. Poor quality products, horrendous service and no knowledge on what they doing.

Durban Shocking
The product is beautiful. The service is dismal. One lie after another. Had a panel that just shattered. No explanation. This is after my system was installed less than a year ago. Told ordered glass as a panel as a security urgency. Found out that the panel was only ordered 4 days later. Told the marks down the centre of each and every panel 32 in total is not a defect. Never knew I ordered glass with marks down the centre. Had Johan Lampbrecht and Johan Vermaak both come out and told that FG Frameless Glass Durban does not exist anymore. Now my warranty is carried by???????

Disgusting Service Delivery
I ordered and paid a deposit for their high mesh security systems in January and still have not received the products or my money money back even after requesting a refund a month ago. They have communicated with me 3 times in the last 8 months and it was always an excuse about why delivery was late but I have not had any communication in almost 2 months. This is shocking service and I am horrified that they won’t release my money and refuse to communicate with me.

FG Glass will let you down
I am absolutely disgusted in the service we received they completely destroyed our skirting and wanted to leave it like that once the doors were installed then the doors didn’t want to work they also brought us the wrong sliding window and said oh well it’s here and installed . They fitted a window in without a frame it leaked and flooded our patio we have paid over R100k for these doors and they not even worth it the previous installation managed had told us they are liquidated and can’t continue I had to send a serious mail as we had already paid 80% eventually they came to install the man told us he was retrenched which was a lie he had been fired now I’m sitting with doors that look like I bought it at a 2nd hand shop we have saved a lot of money to build our home and to have this happen when it’s sold as world class product is absolute nonsense I cannot explain enough the frustration. I have been following up for the last 4 months for them to come fix the window they tried to install which wasn’t even framed properly it looks terrible

FG Glass will let you down

Best service, quality and staff (stackaway frameless glass door)
I cannot say enough good things about this company. From the very start of meeting with the sales rep (Kerry Gee) to quote me on a stack-away door, through to working with the installation manager (Steven du Plessis), and the team that crossed my path - I was thoroughly impressed with their high standards and professionalism. Steven du Plessis was incredibly helpful and his expertise is top class. They were never late, never kept me in the dark, and provided the most amazing service, not to mention that the product is beautiful! What a pleasure to deal with!!! Bravo!

I cannot say enough good things about this company. From the very start of meeting with the sales rep (Kerry Gee) to quote me on a stack-away door, through to working with the installation manager (Steven du Plessis), and the team that crossed my path - I was thoroughly impressed with their high standards and professionalism. Steven du Plessis was incredibly helpful and his expertise is top class. They were never late, never kept me in the dark, and provided the most amazing service, not to mention that the product is beautiful! What a pleasure to deal with!!! Bravo!

DO NOT USE FG FRAMELESS Glass unless you want to destroy your home!
This is the worst company I have dealt with in Cape Town to date when it comes to renovations. Their Sales person quoted a job which they said their engineers ok'd, once the payment was in the tune changed and the original job couldn't be done and they decided on a secondary plan. When it came to instillation their team was left unsupervised and the job was a total botch job and they left my house essentially unsafe to live in as the structural integrity was compromised. I contacted the owner Pal who basically ignored me Adam and Rudolph came in and made promises with no action Basically they lied about what they could do, and the job they did do was a total mess. And when asked to fix the mess they didn't. I am no forced to pursue legal remediation and have been left out of home for 4 months while I had to pay another company to come fix this mess. Use this company at your peril!
