My eighty one year old mum went for her six monthly blood test in January 2023. As usual, it was covered by her medical aid. Mid 2024 she received an SMS's that an amount of R823.00 was outstanding. We contacted the medical aid and received written confirmation that payment was indeed made two weeks after the treatment date. The confirmation was then forwarded to Flowpath accounts and was told that the information is correct. PAYMENT WAS RECEIVED!!! End of 2024 my mum received SMS's from Venn's attorneys to say that she has been handed over. She is still receiving these annoying SMS's. Fast forward to January 2025.... I went for bloods, paid cash and requested an invoice to claim back from medical aid in an effort to conserve my savings. Was supposed to receive it the next day. Nothing for two weeks. I contacted Flowpath accounts, and received an invoice with an incorrect amount. Contacted them again and visited their lab in Woodhurst for help. Was supposed to receive the amended invoice yesterday (18/02/2025). Still f*****g waiting. I am about to explode with anger!!!! Staff are absolutely unfazed by the pain and misery one has to go through to sort out these issues. They are more interested in checking out their cell phones than assisting and resolving their f**k ups. Flowpath management, please retrain all your staff and if you cannot, dismiss them. Hire people who can perform their duties with diligence.

In December 2021 my adult son, who was on my medical aid at the time visited Flowpath Clinical and Laboratory Practice in Durban. Fast forward to August 2024, I receive an email from Troika credit management about this account being overdue due to the claim being rejected by my medical aid. I immediately contacted my medical aid, which told me that no claim was ever submitted by Flowpath. I wanted to confirm this with Flowpath as I suspected this might be a **** from Troika. I have been trying since 23 August 2024 to get a hold of the accounts section at Flowpath to query this, as I could not believe that nobody from Flowpath ever tried contacting me regarding this for two and a half years. Not even one statement has been sent to me. Bear in mind that my medical aid received no claim, and my (adult) son was residing in another town. There was no way of me knowing about this account. Eventually the person handling the whatsapp line for Flowpath started attending to my query. It also took him/her a month to eventually confirm to me that I indeed have an outstanding account with Flowpath. I have never in all my life encountered any company that has such a poor bookkeeping and communication system. Flowpath please wake up and make sure that medical aid claims are submitted, and accounts plus correspondence are attended to. At this rate you will be bankrupt in no time. Your communication and admin skills are non existent.

The white vehicle with ND 864 441 (reg). A black guy was driving absolutely recklessly. He was speeding and sitting on peoples bumpers. Pulled to the side of me and thereafter started swearing and yelling. This what kind of people FlowPath hires. They need to be dealt with. ( 20-03-2024) at 1:30pm

They have are a company that exploits and victimizes their staff. They pay their staff and don't give them payslips. The reason being they don't pay them their correct salaries. The staff only work for a few months and resign after that because they are not reputable company to work for. I don't advise anybody to work for this company.

Will never use flopath ever again, went to get blood test done for my pregnant girlfriend, first they couldn't get accurate pricing, then they couldn't tell us what the spcifics are that they test for, then wanted to charge an extra 10% if we wanted to pay via card. then after we leave we get phoned because they need more information, we get them the details then they phone again and need more information again, so we just reffered them to our doctor so they could get all the info they needed, we do the maternity blood work and HIV test, HIV comes back positive, we were not satisfied with the results so ended up going to lancet to get re tested, test came back negative, with all the stress that put us through I will never be going back there and I will never recommend them to anyone, infact i would encourage people not to use them, horrific service

Very dissatisfied and disappointed with the way Flowpath handled my account - treated my account as a cash account. After numerous attempts of telling them to claim from my medical aid like the hospital did, the doctors and Ampath laboratories - still nothing!! Not sure why Flowpath thinks they that special. This was in January 2020. I was handed over to the attorneys for my account. I had to them write a plea letter to momentum in July and the claim was processed on 11 July in full. Several months later I was still getting harassed by the attorneys, on 2 November I received an sms stating my credit score would be affected if my account was not settled even after telling the lawyers on numerous occasions which they have record of that momentum has settled this account. Finally I spoke to Therisha from the accounts department on 1 November telling her my account is paid up which she refused to believe and said it’s not paid. She really does need to do her job better and handle clients with respect. After sending her proof of payment from my medical aid I never heard back from her until yesterday when I took the initiative to call the attorney. I was told everything is sorted. No call from Flowpath to apologize for their behavior and negligence in this matter??? Is this how you make money by trying to get double payments from clients??? How unethical for a large company to not pick up payment and hand me over to the attorneys for no reason. Had yourl done yourls job firstly and processed the payment from the medical this would have been avoided! Very very very bad. I will never use or recommend Flowpath to anyone!!

One star only because I can't give zero. Absolutely useless with communication until they hand you over. Unknowingly, medical aid didn't pay for my tests in November 2019 and then I get a call for the first time only at the end of January 2020 from Flowpath asking when my account will be paid! I ask for an invoice and statement to be emailed for verification and it doesn't come until 2 weeks later. Then I get a call from the attorneys starting that my account is overdue! Just looking at other reviews I can see they have been doing this for a long time. I will now always ask before tests are done where my bloods will be sent and never ever use them again!! Make u feel like you're such a bad payer getting calls from lawyers unnecessarily!

I have an outstanding amount of R1008.90 due to the negligence of the staff of Flowpath Lab and have even being handed over to Strauss Daly Attorneys. I had my blood tests done at my doctor's room like I usually do on an annual basis on 10/03/2018 and this account was submitted to my medical aid by Flowpath on 19/03/2018 for payment. I was contacted at the beginning of August 2018 by Flowpath to inform me that this account was not paid for. I requested for this statement of account to be sent to me and received it via e-mail, I had noticed that the account was sent to the wrong department and e-mailed it myself to my medical aid requesting them to settle this account and stated the reason thereof. There was no correspondence since until I was contacted by a lady by the name of Terisha from Flowpath again in January 2019 advising me that this account was still not settled and that I need to make payment immediately or else I will be handed over to the attorneys. I requested that she e-mail me proof of submission to my medical aid which she did. Upon receiving same I called her back to advise her that when the account was submitted to my medical aid on 19/03/2018, it was submitted to the wrong department, she then claimed it was sent to the department I informed her off, I requested that to be e-mailed to me as well which yet again she did, the date of that submission was 15/08/2018. I then called my medical aid and was advised that when the account was submitted in August 2018 it was already stale hence the reason for non-payment, however Flowpath could provide motivation for the late submission and the account will then be settled. I called Terisha back and informed her of what medical aid requires but this time she spoke to me very rudely so I requested to speak to her manager. I then spoke to the manager by the name of Amaran who was just as rude and advised me that he cannot provide any motivation and that I will have to settle this account myself as I have provided the details for the wrong department to which this account was initially submitted by Flowpath. I went back to my doctor's rooms and spoke to a Lindsay from their accounts department and explained what had happened thus far, she explained that there were receiving many complaints, I requested to check my file and it was written clearly that I am on the Carecross plan, the information was obviously taken incorrectly by the person who drew my bloods, the same plan is reflected on my medical card itself. Lindsay promised to sort this matter out with the manager of Flowpath but was unable to do so as Flowpath is still adamant that I must pay. My account was handed over to Strauss Daly Attorneys despite my pleas that this account is in arrears due to the error of Flowpath and then the ignorance of the staff to correct same. Below is the e-mail I received on 18/04/2019 from Carla at my doctor's room, I would like to draw your attention to Paragraph 5 which clearly indicates where the actual problem is: Good day Meera, I apologise for the delay in response to your many emails. Unfortunately I do not have favourable feedback for you. All these accounts that patients have received from Flowpath and their employed administrative claims bureau are legitimate and authentic. They are declined claims which respective medical aids have not paid for and definitely cannot be resubmitted – given the time impediment. I have spoken with the accounts department of Flowpath – they unfortunately had previously employed an administrative team whom failed to do these claims timely and effectively. Due to the vast amount that is outstanding to Flowpath from patients rejected claims and patients refusing to pay these liable fees – they have been forced into a position to demand these amounts back through legal proceedings – which has become their standard contact method, and the apparent reason why patients’ first contact with Flowpath is a letter of demand from attorneys. At this point the only advice; given the information provided to us is that these amounts need to be settled with Flowpath – as they have said it is all legitimate accounts, amounts and authentic pathology processes that were completed for respective patients. Please also treat this matter seriously, should you feel you need to hand it over legally from your side – please do so. As it stands Flowpath has already taken a legal disposition and they are truly claiming back money that is due to them regardless of the system failure they have had, and the extremely delayed time they have taken to contact the patients or even rectified these problems. Whether it is right or wrong (which really doesn’t seem right in how these matters have been handled,) has not changed that Flowpath has already initiated a legal route to reclaim this money from patients. At this point we are only negotiating what is right or wrong and what should have happened – which is futile. I hope with this information you are able to respond to Flowpath accordingly and decide what would be best to conclude this matter. Thank you. Kind regards, Carla NetCross Medical Centre I WILL NOT PAY THIS ACCOUNT AND CHALLENGE FLOWPATH TO TAKE ME TO TASK OR DARE LIST ME ON THE CREDIT BEREAU!!!!!
