Outstanding Service from Garden City Motors Bloemfontein! I recently purchased an Omoda C5 Lux from Garden City Motors Bloemfontein, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From start to finish, the service was absolutely 5-star. A special thank you to Johan Strydom and Sareza De Villiers for their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to go the extra mile. They made the whole process smooth, transparent, and enjoyable. It’s rare to find a dealership where you feel genuinely valued as a customer, but Garden City Motors Bloemfontein truly delivers on that. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent service and a great vehicle-buying experience!

Garden City Motors Shelly Beach, the workshop has cancelled their agency agreement with Mitsubishi, informing me verbally that they will not service my vehicle any longer. They advised me to either go to Kokstad or Durban. This is highly impractical as one cannot just travel there, wait for up to 5 hours, have expenses on food as well as travelling, of which they will not pay for. I do believe that this is a breach of contract. If they are not willing to be an agent, why are they unwilling to complete the time period for current customers? There also is a Motorplan that needs to be honoured. Motorrite has indicated any approved technician or dealership can assist. I have already taken action to find a dealership that can assist. I do not think that their customer service is good. An e-mail informing clients is a proper way to handle the situation. I did not do anything to be in breach of the contract.

I've been to garden city motors Bloemfontein for a recall on my mercedes-benz airbags. After receiving my vehicle back I noticed that the air ven shifter was broken. ( THEY DID NOT INFORM ME OF IT) after getting home I saw they removed rubber from my engine and Ive also not been informed of such actions. They overcharge clients and are hostile.

My vehicle was booked in for repairs to lock of left front passenger door. Lock was fixed but was left with bad wind noise that had never been there before. Took the car back but nothing was done about the noise. Instead it was suggested that I replace some rubbers at a cost of over R3500. In fact, it was even hinted that I caused the damage myself. Moreover as I stood in front of the receptionist, I could hear the agent mocking me over the phone. The noise is so bad, I will have to fork out to fix it, but definitely not at Garden City Motors.

What I experienced at Mbombela Garden City Motors was an appalling and awful experience. I do not recommend this dealership at all and I should have heeded the reviews on social media about this dealership. Substandard. Unpardonable. Shameful. What was supposed to be a 1-day service turned into a 3-day nightmare and I’m now sitting with a vehicle that is partially serviced. No sparks/ engine oil was replaced. Sunroof is still jammed. Rude consultants. Lack of resources. Poor communication. The only good thing that came out of that place was a well-polished car & glossy tyres 🤦♀️ I booked my vehicle for service at Mbombela Garden City Mercedes Benz on the week of the 27th of March 2023, unfortunately, they were fully booked only until after the easter holiday. I secured a booking for the 11th of April 2023 at the MB Mbombela dealership. However, at the time I made the booking I was already overdue for service by at least 300km as noted (still within the motor plan). But they only had a late date. The booking lady didn’t ask if there were any other issues besides service and failed to explain that if there were other issues found on the vehicle, they’ll have to rebook it for another date. She only asked for my mileage and confirmed my details. I am fairly new to MB vehicle services and believe that any problem found/raised on the day of service will be attended to. I was also not aware that the grace period for service was 1500km. However, at the time of booking, I was still within this period. On day 1, the 11th of April 2023, I was attended to by Ms. Pearl who provided a distasteful revolting service right from the start, I noted several things that I would like to be checked since my last service in Bedfordview Gauteng, they listened, explained & assisted me without resistance/ hesitation so I assumed all Mercedes Benz dealerships are courteous to their clients but Mbombela Garden City Motors proved to me otherwise. These are the problems I noted, but it was rep**** to with so much resistance: - My sunroof was jammed - she said they don’t fix sunroofs, they can only run diagnostics but WILL NOT FIX it. So I should leave the car overnight for the tests to run. NO SOLUTION. She blamed me for not even alerting them at the booking of service of this issue and that I should not be surprised when the car is returned as is. - Check for Windscreen chips - they don’t fix windscreen chips. I understood as it varies from dealer to dealer - Check if my wheels are aligned - their machine is not working, I should go to HiQ/ TigerWheels - Seatbelt notification - it’ll depend on if the technician finds time, but then again, shouldn’t be surprised if the car returns to me the same way I agreed that they can keep the car for diagnostics but I asked where should I take the car to repair the sunroof. The car is a Mercedes Benz, was she implying that I take my car to a non-Mercedes Benz accredited company to have my roof fixed? If Mercedes can’t fix my roof, then who should? I was dumbfounded by her responses and attitude that I even lost trust that my car will even be serviced properly. And as fate had it, the service was only partially done! Unpardonable! Appalling! I immediately called the sales consultant that sold me the car (Centurion Mercedes Benz dealership) to enquire if indeed Mercedes doesn’t fix sunroofs since this was my biggest concern. He emphasized that all dealerships do sunroof repairs, not only just diagnostics. I decided to escalate the problem to Mercedes Head office customer care, the lady explained that if it's a technical problem like in my case, a jammed roof, they should fix it. She made a follow-up with the Garden City motors manager Mr. Johan and he reiterated that they do fix sunroofs and he apologized for the misunderstanding caused by his staff member, Ms. Pearl. He did note that the booking lady was supposed to ask if there were any other issues so that another date could’ve been set. He mentioned that he’ll go through the recordings to confirm that it was not asked and I did not know that I should mention these things prior. On day 2, 12/04/2023, Ms. Nikita called around 1 pm to report that my car is overdue by 3200km and they are still waiting for authorization from Mercedes. I had to physically go to the dealership to fully comprehend what was going on, firstly, I made the booking when I was at least 300km overdue, secondly, they were fully booked and couldn’t take in my car. thirdly, I commute to work in my car every day & unfortunately had an unexpected trip to Northern Limpopo weekend of the 30th of March. Although she was polite enough to attend to my concerns, she did not check the kilometers at which I made this booking and the booking lady was not much of help. I called the head office once again and they requested the dealership sends confirmation of when I made the booking and the KMs I was at so that they can investigate further. The dealership failed to provide this instead it's written 0KM on their information. Then why did the booking lady even bother asking me the KMs if she was going to write 0KM? At 4 pm, Nikita received confirmation that they should proceed with the service regardless. But already it was 4 pm at this point so that meant my car was going to stay overnight again. My life was at a standstill. I had to extend my leave for yet another day because I work in Pretoria. The inconvenience caused by this dealership?! On day 3, I received yet another call from Ms. Nikita at noon, to come to fetch my car it was ready. but as expected sunroof wasn’t fixed, they suggested I take it to other dealerships preferably in Gauteng. She also noted that the service was done but the engine oil & sparks were not replaced because they don’t have stock. At this point I needed to know then what was the point of the service, she said they had only changed the aircon filter, checked battery life, fixed my number plate, and washed the car. You can only imagine my frustration. Clownery at its finest. She offered to call me to return the car as soon as they have those items but honestly, how does one even trust this dealership to go back? This was a great injustice and an under-par service from Mercedes Benz. The level of incompetence from the staff was atrocious and I don’t recommend it at all. I must now seek HiQ or anybody willing to fix my sunroof as suggested by their employees 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS. The car is less than a year old but already the gearbox has been changed in October and the car with them for 2 months now, but they are telling me that they are not finding anything wrong with my car. IF THE CAR IS REALLY FINE THEN WHY KEEP IT FOR 2 MONTHS AND COUNTING!?. THEY SOLD ME A FAULTY VEHICLE BUT SAID THAT IT'S BRAND NEW, GARDEN CITY MOTORS BRANCH IN PIETERMARITZBURG. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!! (same review posted on chery sa)

Bunch of liars at this branch. Purchased a used car where my main requirement was a in-house maintenance plan. Whilst they sold me one they neglected to mention that a) they cannot sell me a in-house plan and b) proceeded to sell me one by a third party. Essentially they lied to me to clinch the deal! Since then every interaction with them has been terrible. 1) they stated my car was underinsured when it was not! They insurer sets the value and I took credit short fall. We had major arguments over this admin where Charlene proceeded to be extremely difficult and frankly dumb at her job about what credit short fall means! 2) they failed to let me know I needed authorization from maintenance place for all requests. Several times my car was away for multiple days. 3) they incorrectly registered the start date of my maintenance plan which it had not caught in would have taken it from a 2 year plan to 18 months. Tons of admin here! 4) terrible service from the service department. In particular Percy, Candice, Anand and the DP Falisa. The current service they have had my car now for 21 days! With me having to chase them for updates, fight for quality service on my maintenance plan, be lied to about statuses. With 0 offer for a courtesy car till I stood my ground. I tried to be patient and tried to be nice but I am now very unhappy! For lying to me to secure the deal I have escalated with Mercedes South Africa and will move onto the National Credit Regulator and Consumer Protection act. No matter how much you complain this branch has 0 empathy, 0 interest and is the most pathetic service for a premium brand. They should be ashamed to represent Mercedes! If they were the customer, would they be happy? If yes they lie as much as they do to secure the deal! This is but a short list of issues I have received with them! If you choose to do business here do it at your own risk!
