All I can say is Wow. From the time we booked with Garden court South beach the staff was very friendly and a special mention to the following team members who was quick and efficient Dolly and Debra from the reservations dept ( well done ladies and keep up the good work ) Breakfast was 10/10 Room was clean 10/10 Lifts were working Atmosphere and ambiance 10/10 Friendly staff 10/10 Well done management and team I will definitely recommend my family and friends.

All I can say is Wow. Currently staying here and what a nightmare it has been. The male receptionists where so rude to me simply for asking them not to transfer me to housekeeping because housekeeping did not answer the phone the first two times I was transferred there, all i wanted was additional towels. Following day housekeeping didn't even bother cleaning my room after being out all day, then the supervisor has the audacity to ask me if I had put on a dnd sign on my door when I didn't. Also Nonhlanhla from housekeeping or the manager's office is rude. The staff here somehow lacks phone etiquette! They are so rude and need proper training.

I have a booking with this establishment and I’ve been in contact with them since last week to cancel or reschedule my booking for the 28th to the 30th of December. They are making it near impossible to do any of the above after I’ve explained I’ve been in and out of hospital and I’m unable to travel. I need this resolved ASAP I’m in no position to lose a lot of money cause of greed.

I have a booking with this establishment and I’ve been in contact with them since last week to cancel or reschedule my booking for the 28th to the 30th of December. I recommended the Hotel to my mom because I have been there before and was avoiding too much admin in terms of proximity of other places we were there for her 70th Birthday & Wow I don't regret it at all she even asked me about "how to go about giving complement" . The first great experience was received before even getting to the venue through booking being assisted by Sibu Langa who even took note of the reason for the visit and when we walked in our room on the 23rd Aug 2025 we were welcomed by Birthday card plus ,Sweets & a Bottle of Non alcoholic wine This was a surprise to even me I wasn't expecting it all... It was great throughout our stay and everyone was friendly & welcoming from getting off the car there was a gentleman who helped us with our bags ,front desk staff, Safekeeping staff, Restaurant staff and and and it was such a lovey experience yet again to me and to Birthday Granny she can't stop talking about her visit to EThekwini and how Special it was great memories indeed this was the Best decision ever Thank you soooooooooo Much Garden court South Beach Durban & Staff you Rock @Sibu Langa iNkosi ikubusise Ntombi its a pity that when enquired as I wished to see you in person I was advised that you work in different office.

Was very unhappy for the 1st time in a supposedly good hotel,my kids went down to ask to warm up their left over lunch to eat foe super but we're turned away coz the hotel doesn't have microwaves or any sort of warming. Tbis was before 7pm, I called housekeeping to verify and they referred me to Derek the "manager" who also confirmed that they don't have microwaves and that the kitchen is closed and I must go ask at spur, he asked if I had bought food ther and and said some. He then arraged with Spur and tht I must sent the kids down to go warm up ther??really at this point I was really not in the mood to even drag the kids back down and they also didn't feel up to it so we all ate cold supper and was really miserable,how is it that a whole hotel lack such a basic nessecity that you must run around with food begging to heat it??,in a hotel??on holiday???not to mention we booked a "Superior room" as they called it but honestly it was just standard room with a very small bathroom

my father booked for a trip using Agoda and paid the full amount for him to go on vacation unfortunately my mom fell ill two days before the actual trip we then called the CallCentre and where provided with requirements to amend the booking and choose different dates ,we then sent all the requested documents including a letter that my mother was admitted to the hospital from a registered doctor but we getting no joy ,yesterday we received an email stating that the partner which is the hotel they booked at (GARDEN COURT DURBAN )CANNNOT amend the dates how so when my dad also forwarded documents to garden court and was assisted by a lady by the name of NTSIKI , AND U STATE U CANT AMEND ...this needs to be fixed as my parents spent a lot of money on that booking ... I need a supervisor to fix this fast because all the requirements were met, or I will take this further.

There is an Indian Lady by the name of Sharon. Very mean first I booked a superior queen bed but was given standard. When I asked she told me the are the same but how if the price is not the same? There is no fresh smell in the hotel, the carpets have a stinking smell,the rooms are small and to crown it all the shower is in the bath not working. Over all we had a very disappointed experience and will never ever visit that hotel again. I can honestly say this is the worse Garden court hotel that I visited.
