Booked for one night on the 12th March 2025, for a workshop that was happening in Durban the following day 13 March 2025. Tell me why in the middle of the night their evacuation alarm went off every 5 - 10 minutes until some time 1am, the trauma i had before we could even being told it is a false alarm. I couldn't sleep the entire night because of the alarm. I didn't enjoy my stay at all, i could say it was my worst experience ever. What really got me plss3d is that the following morning no one (staff) talks about it or at least apologies until one had to tell them during checkout. Regardless of the bad experience, I must say Garden Court uMhlanga is a beautiful, very classy, clean, well equipped gym and peaceful.

We had a weekend stay at Garden Court UMhlanga. Other than the comfortable rooms, the service was terrible. The front desk staff were not friendly. The restaurant staff were the worst, they seemed overwhelmed and not very hospitable. We were kicked out of the breakfast buffet after one hour; and it was not even full at the time. The food was underwhelming. Raw pancakes, mislabeled pork as chicken. The beans were also not fully cooked. Overall the experience was not giving holiday destination. Very poor showing for such a long standing brand in the hospitality space.

Vuyani the restaurant manager at Garden court umhlanga, thank you so much for your kindness and understanding. My family and I were coming from North West Rustenburg and the other group from Northern Cape, we were 24 in total. I called in and booked for breakfast buffet which ends at 10 am, our group from Rustenburg made it in time for breakfast , we were welcomed by Vuyani who walked us to a private room as we were a large group, he was very friendly and welcoming. The group from Northern Cape arrived late as we experienced accidents on our way there. We pleaded with Vuyani and asked him to extend breakfast time for them, he agreed and as soon as they arrived after 10 he welcomed them, and told them to have a feast. We ate without being rushed. The staff was also accommodating and friendly. This was on a Friday we came back again the following day on a Saturday for breakfast because of the great service we received. Thank you so much Vuyani and the restaurant staff. Next time we are in Durban we will definitely book the hotel. ❤️

Good day. I want to report a bad service and *********** staff of garden court UMhlanga. On 2024-05-26 I checked in with my colleagues and we were travelling for work and our check out was supposed to be 2024-06-02 unfortunately due to other duties we had to check out on the 1st of June 2024 which I communicated with them on time on the 2024-06-30 I advised them that I will check out on the the 1st of June . Therefore I would require the refund of one night that is outstanding and I was advised that I will get my refund instantly on the checking out. On the day of checking out we found a lady by the name of Angel and she told me that I can’t get the refund instantly or on the spot and then said but I was here a day before and I was told it’s possible to get a refund back. She said there is no such and she gave me a refund form to complete which I comp**** and did correctly complete it. On the 6 of June 2024 I made a follow up with one of the manager by the name Noluthando Dlamini and I explained to her that if I don’t get the refund before the 11th of June it will affect my salary because they will open a state debt in my salary since I was travelling for work and the money belongs to my work. She seems to understood and speed track the process however I was surprised when she send me another refund form and she cited that the one that I was given by Angel is wrong and she also requested me to send the form to my other colleagues who were affected by the same issue. I was shocked that I am now tasked to do the administration of Garden court UMhlanga staff. Be that may be I did send the form and it was completed by me correctly so, I waited for the refund until to date when I make follow ups I was taken from piller to post and told that the account I gave it’s wrong funny when I ask Angel what is the account she gave the correct one that I supp**** them, then she said the finance team says it’s closed the account I asked them that I urgently need the money she took me to her front office mananger named Merryl Ramiah whom was extremely rude towards me and she hung down the phone on me twice and I was told there is nothing they can do I should wait. As I speak I have a state debt in my account which I will have to pay interest on it for the *********** of UMhlanga garden court. I really need assistance in this matter it has affected my financial status very negatively

We have been staying with the hotel for 4 nights now and had not experienced any issues until we noticed that a personal item from our room had gone missing an item that housekeeping had not taken ever since our first stay. We did not leave the hotel with the item nor did we leave the room with the item moreover we have asked the housekeeping manager to check the CCTV footage from the ground level elevators in order to prove that we did not leave with the item. We are unhappy with the hotel's response, the lack of urgency is highly disheartening. We are not comfortable having our room cleaned without supervision. We constantly have to follow up the hotel for feedback otherwise nothing is said to us. I would advise future customers to lock their personal items away and not keep them where they can be seen because should they go missing the matter will not be taken seriously and with any urgency. Keep your items safe because it's not worth all the trouble or book a different hotel.

This hotel scores points for its cleanliness and friendliness and even facilities however my recent experience stay with them had me disappointed at the breakfast staff and food. The entire week of my stay the eggs were dry, bacon burnt and bake beans were crusty. When i enquired about the chef i was told there is only limited staff available to cook so food is prepared in advanced and served. The hotel had only one server at the food station and guest were expected to line up with no social distance. To make matters worst, one of the days there was no service because all staff 2ere expected to assist for a sports team which was stayinh at the hotel this meant neglecting and cutting guest brealfast time to cater to the VIP's. I was so disappointed that the rest of the week i had opted to have breakfast at another venue. Disappointed to know this is how ordinary guest are treated. This really fell short to be called Tsogo Sun hotel.

Dear Sir/Madam I was disappointed by the fact that on 27 December 2020 my account was never reconciled even though payments have the reference number. Payments were made early December 2020. When I checked again on 31 December 2020 the account was not still reconciled so was not given my refunds . The TV channels are changed or channels disappears and this destroyed your viewing plan? Dear Sir/Madam I was disappointed by the fact that on 27 December 2020 my account was never reconciled even though payments have the reference number. Payments were made early December 2020.
