I am totally disgusted by the way the so called service desk assist there customers, you have 2 ways to contact them one by online chat o there web page and whatsapp. neither of them are help-full. When you have a problem you wait forever to get through to any one and even if you do they give you absolutely no updates or any feedback. and because of this I lost a contract with a potential client. these people working there have no sense of pride in there work or even value there customer cause all i ever get is "We reprovisioned the link and allocated a new IP" or "Please unplug the fibre box and router for 5 min and plug them back in and monitor the connection" If anyone wants to use this ISP i would strongly not recommend them as there after sales service is disgusting

Look. I have always known this ISP had bad support. Heck, no support even, but their redeeming factor has always been their network, and that is why I stayed a moderately content customer. However, the network has degraded to one of the worst fibre networks in RSA after their departure from Seacom. This ISP offers nothing at its price point. Other ISPs at this price have network redundance, they have larger support departments (or rather, they actually have support staff and not some bot who literally spams a generic message LITERALLY every minute for who knows how long without ever getting back or following up). Telephone line, unreachable. Accounts department, unreachable. Any human being at this company, unreachable. Also, they change their name every six months to try and reset their google reviews to baseline. I can also spot planted reviews from a mile away. All those 5 star reviews in quick succession made as the google account just landed by accounts who literally have only one review on them (namely this ISP, they must have been REALLY impressed, or, Ocam’s Razer, ****. Is that not suspicious? The creativity of the complaint reviews make it abundantly clear they are human and real, however all the 5 star reviews, looks like they are written by AI. Generic, emotionless, 0 creativity. These people are taking us for fools. They probably changed routing through more affordable providers hence the current network blackout, but what was an “unknown network error” became “scheduled” “upgrades” became “maintenance”. What was ignoring all tickets about unusable internet (I am talking 0.5mbps up and down on a 500/200 line) became “”upgrades” complete and network restored to optimum capacity” became additional “upgrades” from “1 to 4” the next day, became “we started fixing the issue at two…”, (firstly, what happened to 1pm? How nonchalant are you?) became 5pm for the fix, became 8pm, became 9pm (all mails sent with false hope). 9pm hits and??? Internet dead. Completely dead for the past 15 hours. No eta. No feedback from gigawave. No more emails containing lies. Just dead. Trying to contact them to cancel. Impossible. Lines are dead. I reiterate, this is one of the most competitive industries in the country. This company doesnt offer a resilient network, nor redundance, they do not offer any customer support whatsoever, yet their pricing doesnt reflect that. It also seems (personally) that there are some suspicious things happening behind the scenes here. All the name changes, the reviews, all of it, it just gives me the ick. Not trustworthy whatsoever. Must be the worst ISP by far. 5 Days ago reported a problem. Still no connection. Support pathetic and ***********. Manager to busy with meetings to talk to a client. That is maybe the reason why his department is so pathetic. I wonder what the Exec is like? Are they really interested in there customers that are paying their salaries? As they say companies will fail from the top. Save yourself the pain and money. DO NOT USE GIGAWAVE SOLUTIONS!

Gigawave is the worst ISP ever. I have had a lot of ISPs, and I can't even remember all their names because I never had issues with them, but Gigawave I have to message every week because of an issue. Two weeks ago they turned our wifi off because we allegedly did not pay them. We did. After resolving the issue and them realizing we did pay, it took them an extra two days to actually turn our wifi back on. I am currently writing this review while using my phone as a hotspot because, big surprise, the wifi is off once again, since Thursday. The wifi returned on Sunday night, and once again was gone on Monday morning. And their excuse is always "There is an issue with the upstream provider" or their newest one is that they need to splice a joint. I am no network engineer but I know that does not take five, going on six, days to splice a joint. Also - it does not help to upgrade to 100 mbps. You will get 20mbps download MAX and an upload speed of 30kbps. If you never want wifi and when you do it's incredibly slow, give Gigawave a chance.

These guys have the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Their response time is slow. The WhatsApp line is useless. The call center is even worse you will wait for a representative until your airtime runs out. When you eventually get a response it's a generic blanket response. No commitment of any kind to fixing the issue you are experiencing. Since MyOwn ISP transferred customers to Gigawave, it's been a struggle. When there is downtime there is serious downtime. Iyoh! I cannot wait for my 24 months to end. it has been almost 20h without internet, they have sent no communication to customers and they have no idea which areas are affected or when they will have it resolved. They keep blaming metro fibre for some outage. Then again, this South Africa companies are never held accountable for none delivery of service. The customers always suffer. We pay for services not rendered. When we refuse to pay for services not rendered we are handed over to collection agencies and our credit is ruined. How do we blacklist companies for not rendering services? Asking for a friend.

Gigawave is my current ISP. I've been with them now for 6 odd months, and I am truly impressed. The speeds are consistent, and most importantly, the service is immediate, friendly and always effective. They're also super affordable. Very very happy with their product. So much so I re-opened my hellopeter account just to shout their praises. 10/10 guys, thank you
