Bought an engagement ring here. When I collected it, it was not the size I requested it to be resized to, yet still had to pay again to resize it back. I kept it safe until the day I had to pop the question and 9 days later a jewel fell out. I paid to have it repaired by Heide-Marie. 2 Days after it was repaired another jewel fell out. Their workmanship is shoddy and they refuse to give any guarantees. That tells you they have no faith in their products or workmanship. Do not buy here

my parents bought me a ring for my 40th birthday in October 2018. in December I was given the ring. As it was a very pretty ring I wore it mainly on "special" occasions so I'd worn it may be 4 or 5 times if that. on Monday 4 February 2019 I put it on and a while layer noticed that one of the claws were broken. I immediately took it back to the shop for them to repair it for me. As it was barely 2 months old I expected it to be done for free however was quoted the following day by a man called Dewald R780 to fix the claw. The ring itself cost R1380 or there about. I was very disappointed as that was asking me to pay more than half of what the ring cost to repair. I was also annoyed that I was even asked or expected to pay this. My dad then phoned and emailed them and we were told if you buy new tyres and you get a puncture you don't return the tyres! I'm not entirely sure what tyres have to do with a ring however if you buy a tyre that breaks or has a fault you take it back as with anything. I have no idea what happened to customer service but can guarantee you that this specific jewellers have no idea what it is. I think the lack of any assistance is really rude and just downright appalling. no refund no exchange ...neither of which I wanted. i just wanted my ring fixed and as it's not an old ring and one buys jewellery to have for a number of years and enjoy not have break after a few times of being worn can not understand why they won't fix it. don't buy from them all I'm saying - they clearly don't care if you're happy or not...as long as they have their money.

The worst service I have ever experienced! My wife and I visited HEIDE MARIE MEIER JEWELERS at Mall@Reds on Saturday 28/10/2017 to check if her ring fits which was manufactured at their store using my mother’s gold claw ring with diamonds, which said diamonds were to be taken out and put into my wife’s ring. After inquiring about my mother’s ring, it was nowhere to be found. The manager, Carol van der Westhuizen, was phoning around like crazy trying to find out if Any of the other employees know where the ring is. Carol then took my wife’s number and said that she would find out what’s going on and give her a call or Whatsapp before the end of the day regarding any information on the whereabouts of my mother’s ring. NO CALL OR WHATSAPP WAS RECEIVED ON 28/10/2017. On Tuesday 31/10/2017, my wife phoned the store after 17:00 to follow up on information of the lost ring of my mother, the sales consultant on duty was not aware of the lost ring and told us that Carol is not there, and neither is any other form of management. In other words, no senior personnel were on duty!! On Wednesday 01/11/2017, my wife phoned again and spoke to Carol van der Westhuizen and still no ring or information regarding the whereabouts of the lost ring, Carol said that she needs to speak to ex-employees of the store to find out any information regarding the lost ring and could only provide information on Thursday 02/11/2017 in the morning. On Thursday 02/11/2017, my wife phoned again and spoke to Carol van der Westhuizen, who then answered my wife arrogantly saying that she has no information now, she will call her later. My wife received a call from Carol and was told that an elderly lady collected it from the store, and who ever collected the item didn’t even sign for it (as I did when I fetched my father’s ring from the store) and the store has no proof of the collection (NOT MY MOTHER INCASE YOU WERE WONDERING OR ANY OTHER ELDERLY LADY THAT I MAY KNOW) so please make a turn at HEIDE MARIE MEIER JEWELERS AT MALL@REDS as they have a new promotion in store. !!!!!!!!!GET FREE JEWELERY NO PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED OR PROOF OF PURCHASE, LIMITED TIME ONLY AND WHILE STOCK LAST!!!!!!!!! Carol van der Westhuizen has an extremely arrogant and sarcastic attitude towards my wife, when my wife is simply trying to get information with regards to my mother’s lost ring that has sentimental value to our family, but the best that, CAROL VAN DER WESTHUIZEN (MANAGER OF THE YEAR) can do, is give us a CREDIT of R520.00 against our outstanding balance in store, which is only the weight value of the gold ring. SO, AFTER MY LAWYER SENT HER A LETER WE STILL GET AN EXTREMELY ARROGANT ATTITUDE!! Carol van der Westhuizen, thank you for your assistance and arrogance so far. By the time you are reading this and have dragged another person’s business through the mud, I would have already given in my complaint at the JEWELLERY COUNCIL OF SOUTH AFRICA!!! HOW IS THAT FOR GREAT SERVICE!!! I AM EVEN GOING THE EXTRA MILE FOR YOU CAROL

<p>I took my ring into the store for a resizing as it was too small. The lady sized my ring and took it in. When I went to collect the ring, it was too big so I told them and they said that I'm the one who agreed to the size and that "it's not their fault" so I asked them to resize it again and they said I'll have to pay again because it was "not their fault". Upon collection, the ring was still lose but because I was told that it was my fault the first time, I decided to just pay for the ring and take it, I didn't say a word. I am really not satisfied with the service I received at Heide Marie and if this is how they treat their clients then they need serious training.</p>
