On Saturday the 12 July I wanted to book a room, I got there presented my bank card for payment and I was told it declined whilst I got an sms from the bank that it was successful charged. Lerato the lady who was on duty gave me the run around saying they didn’t receive the funds and she is 100% certain that they will return back to my account. She called her manager Mapula who corroborated her story in saying there are no funds on their side and there is nothing they can do, I was left stranded without a room at night even when my bank was charged. It is Monday and I haven’t received anything back. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment as they tried charging the same amount multiple times at once.

I made a booking on behalf of another on bookings.com I called hotel 224 to arrange payment with them via eft or link. I spoke to Nthabiseng who firstly had no solution and then decided she was done talking and decided to hang up on me. I called another hotel with the same issue and I was assisted within minutes.

Upon arrival (I will add that it was very late), the service seemed fantastic. We required accomodation for 3 people. We booked into a family room, upon approaching the lights in the parking area was dead and there was no lights or electricity in the room. They offered us 2 rooms in the hotel... its late, our car broke down so we are tired and dirty and now stranded, so no other option but to accept. In the rooms we had main lights, NO hot water to get clean, NO power from the plugs, so we couldn't even have a cup of coffee. NO plug power to dry hair to look presentable, we could not even charge our phones (this is NB as we need to contact insurance and sort out the dilema in order to travel home). NO television, NO airconditioning, NO working vending machines. Upon booking in we were never advised of the electricity issue, nor were we given the option if we want breakfast included or not? I feel that paying the amount we paid and the NO information relayed to guests is totally unacceptable!

Checked in at the Hotel on Sunday October 22, 2017. Will be there until Sunday October 29,2017. The hotel has no internet and the room phones aren't working. I am an international guest need to constantly communicate with people back home. The breakfast and dinner queues are unnecessarily long. The staff at the dining room is rude. Hotel 224 is terrible. This is my worse night mare. It will be a long week. ??

<p>I forgot my charger on the plug in the rolm i stayed. When i call im being told nothing was found in the room and their lost and found. And if no1 checked into my room afterwards, then who took my charger? ROOM 206</p>

<p>We hosted an international delegation at the hotel and booked (and paid) for a conference dinner for delegates at the Peppertree restaurant. The hotel confirmed the booking. At arrival no one knew about the booking and nothing was prepared. The restaurant manager on duty was extremely rude to the host. Insted of apologising to the host and tried to accomidate the customer, the restaurant manager just shifted the blame. Totally unaccepted. The staff was rude and of substandard service levels. It looks like no one has ever heard of smiling or delivering service. The food was bad. The cutlery dirty and there was a piece of carrot (quite old) stuck to the salt pot. Unacceptable!!!!!</p>

<p>My sister and I booked into hotel 224 in Pretoria and we're charged R600 for Accommodation and R400 for breakfast, on Thursday the 23rd June 2016. Upon arrival at the room we started to itch due to dirt on curtains and dust coming off the Aircorn. We immediately phoned reception to raise this concern. But decided to give them a chance, however due to the dust my sister's sinuses started reacting badly, and she went to the toilet there was no toilet paper for more than 15 minutes. They have since said they are coming until I told them I want my Refund because their service is Poor poor poor. I was refused my money!!!! I want my R900 back.</p>
