My recent experience with Louwrens Koen attorneys has been marred by the consistently rude behaviour of an employee named Minke or Mika, whose position within the firm remains unclear to me, whether she is a receptionist or part of the Antenuptial Contracts and Trust registration division. My husband and I engaged their services for an ANC contract, expecting a smooth and professional interaction. However, any attempt to seek clarification or discuss aspects of our contract with Minke/Mika proved to be a frustrating and unpleasant experience. Not only did she display a complete lack of courtesy by not allowing us to express our concerns, but she also repeatedly put me on hold whenever I requested the opportunity to speak. While I believe in the overall competence of Louwrens Koen attorneys, the unprofessional conduct of this particular employee, Minke/Mika, has left a lasting negative impression. It's disheartening to witness such behavior from someone representing a reputable legal firm, and it undoubtedly reflects poorly on the company's image. This is not an isolated incident, as Minke/Mika has been consistently rude during our interactions. In response to these instances, I reported her behavior directly to the lawyer/business owner in the hope that appropriate action will be taken to address these lapses in professionalism. Despite the commendable legal services provided by Louwrens Koen attorneys, the persistent unprofessionalism displayed by Minke/Mika is a significant drawback. I urge the management to take prompt and effective measures to rectify this situation, ensuring that clients do not have to endure disrespectful treatment. Until such improvements are made, I caution potential clients about the unfortunate experiences I have had with this specific employee at Louwrens Koen attorneys. I know they record all their phone calls: (here is the time and date of my terrible experience) 31 January 2024 at 14:29 I spoke to a lady named Minke or Mika

Title: Extremely Frustrating Experience with Receptionist My experience with Louwrens Koen attorneys has been marred by the consistently rude behavior of their receptionist, Minke. My husband and I engaged their services for an ANC contract, and while we initially thought highly of the company, our encounters with Minke have been nothing short of infuriating. Attempting to seek clarification on aspects of our contract turned into a futile exercise as Minke repeatedly interrupted and refused to let us express our concerns. What's more, every time I requested to speak, she put me on hold, prolonging the already frustrating conversation. It's disheartening to witness such a lack of professionalism from a key point of contact within a reputable legal firm. While I acknowledge the competence of the legal services provided by Louwrens Koen attorneys, the presence of a receptionist like Minke severely undermines the overall experience for clients. This incident is not an isolated one; Minke has been consistently rude during our interactions, prompting me to report her behavior directly to the lawyer/business owner. It's alarming that a firm with an otherwise commendable reputation allows such unprofessionalism at the forefront of client communication. I sincerely hope that the management takes swift action to rectify this situation and improve the professionalism of their receptionist. Until then, I caution potential clients about the frustrating and disrespectful treatment they may encounter, despite the legal competence of the firm.

I opted to do my notarization through this law firm. And how I regret. I was quoted R4200 and they only did half of the work. This also included the application for a Police Clearance Certificate. Two months passed and no progress. Eventually I asked my friend to follow up at CRC and my certificate has been there. I had to pay again for a reissue. So I asked them to stop everything since there was no progress anyway and requested for a partial refund. Till this day they're still "reviewing" my file. No communication (another reason why I requested termination of services). They're literally not replying on emails. Worst service providers ever!!

I've never received such an appalling service my life. The receptionist is so rude and condescending. She did not want to listen my request and further told me that I'm wasting her time. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone!!

My husband and I used Louwrens Koen Attorneys for our Antenuptial Contract when we got married. Due to us moving we did not collect it immediately after our marriage as we felt it was safer being stored at there deeds office, which is what they said they would do if we did not collect. When we eventually tried to have it posted to us, they said they could not find it. A very rude person (secretary to Koen I assume) Mika Thom, implied I was lying and that I had collected it, lost it, and was now trying to get a new one. She had no evidence or paper trail showing it was collected but said they had moved offices so she couldn’t be sure that the evidence of me collecting it was lost. She wanted me to pay for the dress office to rewrite the Ante-nuptial contract on the assumption I had collected it, and lost it. She was an extremely difficult person to speak to, and even accused me of being rude and threatened to put the phone down when in fact she was not answering any questions I asked or making any sense, and insinuating I was being dishonest without any proof of any dishonesty. My dad eventually got involved and they then sent me a notarised copy, instead of a new written out ANC which they had promised. I also paid for the delivery of this incorrect copy. Again Mika was extremely rude when my dad dealt with her. Eventually they found my original ANC which THEIR deeds office filed incorrectly!! They then wanted me to pay courier fees AGAIN!? My dad insisted they paid this as the fault was theirs. In the end they conceded. I now have my ANC but by no means give them any credit for that. If my dad hadn’t kept calling and pestering them I would probably have had to pay for a new one. Ridiculous! And Mika Thom is possibly the most infuriating person I have ever dealt with over the phone.
