I have tried everything with the Guardian 4 sensor including a loss of two boxes (10 censors) to get my reading correct. I put on a new sensor let it worm up and as soon as it comes on my sugar is ether Hi or low according to the sensor(Gardian4) when I test with my BG machine or use a test strip it is always out by mere than 8MML witch the Medtronic device does not except. it asks me to retest in 2 min. Witch I then do. But then I can not see wat the count is on the Medtronic device. It gives me another reading on the BG machine and the it does not except it and then it asks me to retest in 2hours with I do and then it stil does not except it and after that it says change sensor.

Medtronic CGM system rarelt works 7 days (3 days in most cases) l. I have dealt with the help line more than with the actual pump. The additional admin in my daily life is frustrating and stressful considering the inconsistency in the sensor life span. The main selling point on this pump (Smart Guard) works hand in hand with the CGM and I can not use it. Waiting for sensors takes extremely long. All other reviews have covered necessary topics. - Bad customer service - Selling what in my opinion , is faulty technology when compared to its competitors

I sorry I bought the Medtronic CGM system. The sensors really last 7 days, while their competitors last 14 days. Having the faalty sensor replaced was a simple process, just send an email with the sensor details and it was replaced within a few days. Now one has to phone the Helpline, which is aways busy, only available during office hours. Usually the line is dropped and one has to phone again, Medtronic service is Terrible Nor can log a compliant on their wed page, no option exists

Where can I complain about your bad client services as your emails contacts apparently dont care!!! I have reported a BOX of faulty sensors on the 26 of January and up to date I am still JUST waiting to get a clear answer on delivery. Now, again, I have lost 3 sensors in one BOX alone because of the SAME plaster issue as well as the strip being stuck to the sensor it self. I am literally to scared to complain about it because I am still waiting on the January complaint. No one from your side is giving me updates and I have to send emails to follow up on you? That is bull**** as we pay a lot of money for your products. You are very quick to tell everyone that you are the industry leaders but your client services suck. One of the main reasons I went with Medtronics for an insulin pump was their Carelink function whereby a third party can monitor one’s vital statistics and be able to know when a diabetic needs assistance, eg. Eru high or low sugar levels. HOWEVER this “feature” very seldom features. We have on many occasions brought the fact that my husband’s link just disappears, to Medtronics’ attention. There are many excuses but the problem persists. So, no peace of mind for clients with a life-threatning condition. To add insult to injury the casing of my pump cracked and needs to be replaced (under guarantee). I sent them 3 emails over a period of 8 days and to date have not even had the curtesy of a reply. This is rather critical since a crack could result in moisture penetrating the pump and Tendring it useless. I can add many more examples of lesser cases where Medtronics dropped the ball, but just want to warn people to stay clear of a company so poorly run that an accountant can ***** more than R500million over 13 years!

Medtronic have a total lack of patient focus. Provide only the lowest quality medical products that fail almost before they are used, and will not take responsibility for the life or death situations thier product failures cause. No management, no accountability, no ethics.

Medtronic is not only a world leader in medical technology, but also in after sales customer care. I have a CRT fitted and it is not the perfect circumstances as I am very skinny but it is not only keeping me alive but also gives me quality for life. For the past weeks I had a lot of discomfort and pain and I spoke to my cardiologist. This morning Medtronic sent their qualified technologist, Sam Khalaf to come and check and re-calibrate the CRT should need be. Sam drove all the way from Midrand. She checked everything super thoroughly and did the necessary adjustments. She then also explained to me that due to my body structure this is a difficult situation to remedy and would consult with the cardiologist about possible remedial action. Throughout, she was totally professional, friendly and caring. Putting my fears at ease. And all of this.... at no charge!! Medtronic delivers research, products and services at levels beyond expectation. WELL DONE
