I have been renting one of their apartment and did not send the cancellation notice because i missed the email as my laptop at some stage was stolen Now they have told me that they are taking 1 month rent deposit even though my lease has expired. I'm really not happy with this treatment as i paid their rent through out covid on time now they are penalizing me. I would like your view on this matter.

We were with Mithcell Properties for almost 4 years. The last place I rented was at Chez Danel. The apartment was in a terrible state when we first moved in. We were promised by Denise (one of the agents) that everything will be fixed once we moved in. The day we moved in , the toilet was a unhygienic risk. It couldn't flush and there were a leak. The basin was cracked as well. It took them 2 months to fix these issues. The admin on their side was a mess. My payments was always on time and sent to the same email. Suddenly I received a call from Debbie that my rent wasn't paid for the last two months. After a battle, she finally found the POP that were paid ON TIME. When my contract finally ended, and last rent was paid , I moved out. BUT I didn't receive my deposit yet. We called several times, but excuses like "the owner is still on holiday" or "the owner didn't get back to us yet". This is TERRIBLE SERVICE. I was phoned by a rude agent for rent that were not paid "on time", but it's no problem when they have to pay the money back.

We rented a property from them for a few years and they were close to impossible to deal with. They ignore your emails and queries, wont take your phone calls and had to threaten legal action to get the deposit back. Once we received it back there were unauthorized deductions. Really do not recommend using them.

<p>This is the worst agency ever. I can never imagine how difficult it is renting through them. I went for a viewing with an agent named Denise who is very incompetent and does not even bother to inform about viewing time changes. I dont even have words for their rental admin Suritha Terblanche she's the most incompetent person in the whole world. I submitted application form to her and she requested I pay for credit check and I paid R360 and sent her a copy of payment ofwhich she said she did not recieve, when I asked her again about the application status and she said I must send the proof of payment again and I did. When I asked her again about the status of appplication she said the form was not filled corretly and she requested I fill in the form again,ofwhich I did. I waited for over a week and thought I should check up on her again and she said the place has been taken. What must I do now? seriously! terrible service ever!!!</p>

<p>I move-out of the apartment on 30 April 2017. I left the apartment in very good condition. The move-out inspection was conducted and no defects were discovered. The problem i have now is that they refusing to give back my deposit they keep telling me to wait they will sort it out soon.</p> <p>All former tenants complained about not getting the deposit back after moving out of the property. They are still waiting for their deposit. It’s a lot of us!</p> <p> </p> <p>The leaving condition in the apartment was unhygienic. The bathroom had no window, the extractor fan never worked for 3 years of my stay. I reported it several times, it was never fixed.</p> <p>We as tenants are prohibited from washing our cars using buckets. And i ask myself where should wash my car because i regard the place as my home.</p>

<p>I'v had such a bad experience with a rental agent by the name of Denise who works for the above mentioned company, I actually responded to a Gumtree add regarding the flat for rental at Park Du Ville complex in Boston,Bellville. I contacted the agent again requesting for a viewing of which she confirmed the date of the viewing etc....On the date of the viewing I called her and she postponed the viewing for the following week. I called again and was given a date for friday the 18th of November from 17h00, called on that day and she told me that the viewing was on the previous day and she cannot contact everyone when the viewing times have changed.I was informed that there were 3 other flats that are available around the same complex and she will arrange for another viewing.She commanded me to call again on Monday to find out if it will take place. It is so difficult to liaise with Denise as she only answeres to her phone and messages when it suits her. I have no place to stay and this lady is playing games with me. Please assist as im running out of time and needing a flat to rent ASAP!</p>

Hi,<br> We rented an apartment from MP for almost 3 years. We moved out end of July, it is now 7 Sept and we have still not received our deposit back. we called numerous times, the first few times we were told to call back after a few days as they were still waiting on quotes or prices of certain things that needed to be done. I called 2-3 times last week first I got told it was going to be paid the next day, two days later I called back and got told they had banking issues they will be paying that afternoon, I called again on Friday and got told that Debbie is in a meeting she'll get back to me. M husband has also called a few times and each time more and more excuses are being made. I also email them on Friday and received a response this morning saying the accounts dept will revert back shortly...but I'm still waiting. My expenses are pilling and I need my money, but there is just no way of getting them to pay when they say. My friend warned me about this as she had the same problem with them when it was time for her to receive back her deposit.<br> <br> Please help as I really need the money ASAP!

I had a lease for a period of 4 years where by I paid R7335 as a deposit, however when I moved out last year they simply refused to give me back my deposit. I was told that there was money in arrears from my rental account. My account was up to date and they could not tell me which month was not paid. And the last person I spoke to told me that she could not help and that the person who was dealing with my account had resigned. All I want is my money back and the interest which it has accumulated over the years.
