I booked three chalets (from Australia for family reunion in SA after 3 years) for 27 -29 December 2024 which turned out to be a disaster. Late check in (4-5 hours late), rooms were not cleaned, and toilet was not working. No wifi. I almost wanted to book an additional night or two, however did not. There was no offer to compensate the poor service and mismanagement of this facility.

I went to this hotel from Thendele Camp while I needed Restaurant to sit and do my Work. The Lady Nthabisile From Drakensburg Mount Aux was so Friendly. She then start advertising the business to me and convince me to rather sleep and do.my work. That to me shows a Waiter with Business Minded. The rooms in this place are so nice and clean. I am a Sinus person but I never smell any dirty in the building. The staff members from the Gate were so friendly going Reception was on point. All the Waiters and staff members in the Restaurant were so friendly too not forgetting the beautiful ladies who do housekeeping and even did my Laundry. Best place ever. I'm impressed. Customer service is Excellent.

Our Chalets number was number 18. And during our stay when we were away on 23rd Dec we couldn't find our Universal Adapter which was kept beside the TV plug. And cleaning service is so bad that the lady couldn't even clean neatly, it was so untidy. Service was very very poor. And upon informing the lady came to our chalets saying she dint take anything but maintenance guys came to check something in the TV and she was inside the room busy cleaning. One of the toilet flush use to leak when we flush, we informed this on the first day but still it was leaving even after the fix.Some how our friends used our Bathroom and toilet. Kitchen utensils was so bad they had stain on it. There was no Bin bag in the dustbin luckily we used our own, but the lady dint even bother to change the bin bag. On 23rd when we return to chalets we found TV was switched on , and straightway i just went to plug in my mobile for charging since the battery was low, thats when I found my Adapter was missing. No matter what email you send them you wont receive any response. They will only respond when you request for Invoice. The only thing we liked is the View and Breakfast was good. Overall Service is really disappointing and Unacceptable. The most important irritating is people can steal your stuffs.

<p>i made a booking at Mont Aux Source Hotel for weekend 4-6 August 2017 through bookings.com, my original booking was for 2 adults, but i had to change my booking today to bring my child along which is 3 years old, when i made my booking i received a confirmation back where the room details was explained, saying that it has a 42' inch tv, bathroom, lounge and some rooms have a sleeper couch, i send a mail through to them requesting if they can give me a room with a sleeper couch, where upon i received a mail back from Rae-Ann Front House Manager saying that she can give me a interleading room which will cost me R995 extra per night, when i replied questioning the sleeper couches i got an answer back just saying that none of their rooms have sleeper couches, i then copied and paste the room details and forwarded it to her, just receiving an answer back that the rooms have been upgraded recently, i then forwarded her a mail saying that i made my booking according to these specifications and that i feel they need to sort this mix up out and that i am prepared to pay an additional amount but certainly not R2000 extra, i just received a mail back saying that my reservation has been cancelled due to the fact that i am unhappy, not even trying to rectify the mistake or trying to accommodate me making alternative arrangements... just that your booking has been cancelled, first of all i feel the information they have given me on my confirmation was false, second of all if you dont cater for kids specify this on your website... i am very disappointed in the way Rae-Ann as Front Office Manager handled the situation... think twice before booking with them!!</p>

<p>telephone lines forever down, slow response on email, rude GM and unhelpful staff who never has info on various/ room type rates. rate hgih for that old buiding. food was ok but not worth my money. place is a no no.</p>

<p>This is an email regarding our experience staying at the Mont Aux Sources Chalets in Drakensburg.</p> <p>Upon searching for accommodation to let in the web, I came across this resort, it looked appealing via the website with all the modern pictures and luxury promises.</p> <p>Little did we know we were in for a surprise: the rooms were outdated and old. The furniture is so old that it is tearing and stained-</p> <p>upon arrival, the unit was considered unsanitary- the dustbin was present with a broken lid, the towels were brown and dirty, the bedding has stains and most advertised amenities were not present. We had to phone reception at least 5 times. There was no braai on site as per the adverti*****t, the fireplace was not operational as per the adverti*****t, the double bed was actually two single beds uncomfortably pushed together. The bathroom is so old that the bath is stained and the curtains were slimey. The list may continue- including the adverti*****t for the buffet dinner- completely over advertised. The dinner had a small range of home cooked meals- in an awkward dining room with no music.</p> <p>I am absolutely disappointed and shocked by the mis lead advertising, and lack of hospitality we experienced at this resort. It is completely unacceptable, to be in a dirty environment for any price.</p> <p> </p>

My son left his golf trousers in Chalet No. 2 at Mont Aux Sources 23 January. E-mail sent to the hotel and they said trousers found and that they would ship / courier them to his street address. Nothing received, On 08 Feb I called reservations, said call hotel directly. Called but could not get hold of them, could only leave a message. No one returned my call<br> <br> Then on 9 Feb called again, spoke to Alister, said Esme is in charge of \lost and found\" but not in that day. Would ask Esme to contact me the next day. AGAIN NOTHING. Called 10 Feb, can not get hold of anybody, must leave a message. Dis so, bit no response. This is pathetic service. "
