AWFUL! There is nothing South African about this ****. The products are made in China, the company is based in Australia and they somehow feel the need to abuse those of us wanting to buy proudly South African products, that I would like to add are products of good quality and nothing like the ******* that I had the misfortune to receive, under their farce name! Stay well away - you have been warned!

********. These guys should be closed down. They misrepresent themselves as a local (South African) Company and once the sale is complete, even if you attempt to cancel the transaction they ignore the instruction to cancel the sale. Once you are in the loop, they just ignore your instructions and you end up with the item in any case. My tip is to refuse the tax payment, they eventually deliver the item in any case so at least there is a small cost to them. Mooi&Co is in contravention of Article 29 (b) (i) of the Consumer Protection Act No. 68 of 2008 by misrepresenting their goods as local.

I bought a 'discounted' dress from 'Mooi&Co Cape Town'. After 3-4 weeks, I got a notification from one of the Shein/ Temu type of couriers to say that my order is on it's way. When I tracked it, I saw that it had come straight from China. It eventually arrived, looking nothing like the picture. I tried to return it and was first told that I can get a 15% discount off the price. Then a 30% discount. When I still said that I don't want it, I was told to pay R300 to return it to China. Honestly, shocking!

Be careful, this cimpany is based in China, even though ad said Mooi and CO Cape Town... tel number nowhere to be found. I bought a bag, R899 with 50% discount, only to find the same bag online for R499. Tried to send it back, but cost to ship to China, R1000... dealt with AI type based nonsense for over a week... after several deals, they offered a 30% refund.....

They claim to be in SA but are Chinese. The quality is disgusting (leather jacket is plastic, leather shoes plastic too. Good luck trying to get your money back or customer service.

Oh oh... I did my reviews on Hellopeter too late and discovered all the 'DO NOT SUPPORT MOOI&CO' reviews this morning. I realised something was fishy when I noticed my order was being shipped from China for this so-called Cape Town based company. My continuous follow-ups were politely rep**** to with what has dawned on me to be 'bot-like' not quite relevant responses. I wait in hope for the quality (expensive!) item ordered. They got the delivery address wrong and I haven't succeeded in rectifying that. I've funded another shoddy pretender; don't be the next!

The product was not great quality and the size I ordered did not fit. Trying to find info to return the dress was challenging and when I finally found the email address and stated that I wanted to return it, they made the process exceedingly challenging. Their ad misrepresented them and the product coming from Mooi &Co Cape Town needed to be returned to Asia. Appalling!

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I fell for a complete misrepresentation (you can read between the lines). The website paints a picture of a promising, up-and-coming company based in Cape Town, but that story quickly unravels. I should have been more cautious when the "Rory" golf pants I ordered on 15 August didn’t arrive within the standard 2-4 day window expected from any trustworthy online retailer. Well, they finally arrived today via Buffalo Couriers, and let me tell you, it was not what I expected. For R749, I received a garment that was nothing like what was advertised. Not only was it unbranded (unlike the photos), but 1) it’s not stretch fabric, rather a very cheap nylon/polyester blend, and 2) the workmanship is seriously poor. I accept that I’ve been misled, but I want to caution anyone else who may be thinking about buying from this company. To top it off, it seems they've now taken down their webstore—probably a sign of what’s really going on.
