**** - do not trust! This site - supposedly local Cape Town based elite boutique in Camps Bay - ‘Elaine’s Boutique’ advertises a closing down sale. It seemed legit and I did my normal checks on Trust Pilot and HelloPeter. The ‘premium wool’, hand-selected sophisticated jacket that was promised turns out to be a cheap Chinese based product delivered by YunExpress made of cheap felt. Not even the sleeves have seams - just a rough scissor cut and this ‘premier’ item is thin and not lined. It hangs like a stiff square box on me, sitting up too high in the waste. So much for premium wool and hand-selected promise. This ‘premium item’ was advertised at a 50% discount for R1200 and from the quality I can see it’s not worth R100. I get better quality on Temu. Don’t be fooled. The customer support email has been de-activated and the phone number is false. They’ve purchased a SA domain domain, passing themselves off as local but are in effect anything but. AVOID
Oh oh... I did my reviews on Hellopeter too late and discovered all the 'DO NOT SUPPORT MOOI&CO' reviews this morning. I realised something was fishy when I noticed my order was being shipped from China for this so-called Cape Town based company. My continuous follow-ups were politely rep**** to with what has dawned on me to be 'bot-like' not quite relevant responses. I wait in hope for the quality (expensive!) item ordered. They got the delivery address wrong and I haven't succeeded in rectifying that. I've funded another shoddy pretender; don't be the next!
I have to give this a 5-star rating, for the following reasons: 1) I was able to source an item no longer sold in SA at an excellent price 2) the process was seamless and easy 3) delivery happened within 3 days. I'm really really impressed.
It may sound corny, but my order arrived so quickly the first thing I said was "Gee wiz, that was quick!" Now I get why they call it that. I found an item for a good price that can no longer be bought in SA (FitBit has pulled out of SA) - and I managed to find the perfect item at a better-than-retail offer. Everything works perfectly, everything was intact. I'm super happy and will continue using this platform for good deals. Definitely recommended.
I’m disappointed that after returning several items that were purchased online (legitimately well within your 7 day ‘cool off period’ advertised) and physically bringing back the items myself - that you still charge me a 5% admin fee! All this while enticing and incentivising your clients to purchase online during your birthday celebrations. Take a look at what Takealot do. No charge for collections!
Since having existing fibre re-connected via a number of different 'outsourced' partners (Vox do not have in-house service providers or technicians, they outsourced everything), we've had nothing but endless automated email responses to desperate queries for assistance, and a customer service hotline that never seems to work. I'm appalled! This outsource model is a failure if your different providers can't communicate with you, us or vice versa. Please can someone at least just return my calls? VOX Account # 9645506
Justin Chan from Outsurance - you made my day! I sent an email before 8am requesting assistance with updating my home address, and he responded within minutes with a huge big cheery greeting and a manner that was simply awesome! Never had such a delightful interaction with someone from this industry before! What a pleasure; keep up the awesomeness, Justin - may you make all your clients happy and delighted, and help with what matters: customer service excellence, customer loyalty, and retention! The best part is that my premium actually dropped after updating my details :-) :-)
Not a great experience. We went online and searched long and hard for a Flower boutique that would deliver on Saturdays for our niece's birthday in Johannesburg. We finally selected a florist that didn't identify themselves 'Flora Niche' but Johannesburg Florist (https://www.johannesburg-florist.co.za/). It was only when the delivery confirmation arrived that we realised it had gone through Flora Niche. Who then did not deliver on the Saturday as promised, nor did they deliver until we phoned on the Monday to find out what had happened. We were put 'on hold' twice while the telephone operator argued loudly and unprofessionally with someone on another line... and then told us 'Oh dear, you see what happened is we selected someone who doesn't do deliveries on a Saturday'... this was never communicated with us, and in the order confirmation email no mention was made of this. Is Flora Niche an aggregator / broker site for florists and not a florist per se?
This was the most expensive and disastrous move we've ever experienced, in making the move from Joburg (Dainfern) to Cape Town. In spite of the elevated quote, we chose Biddulphs for their reputation and track record, but at a shocking and unforeseeable cost. First of all, we paid them handsomely to pack our household contents for a large 2-bedroomed house. They sent a blind old man and a mute woman. Disaster. The communication process was ridiculous, so we had to hire our own additional people. They managed to smash most of the truck contents, how we don't know (probably during the storage period for the last 2 months while we sought accommodation), including an antique table - a leg broken off! An expensive leather armchaird - leather torn. A Desk broken, glass front of a bookcase smashed, dining room table and chairs broken, wheel of gas braai broken... lampshade, smashed, and so the list goes on!!! The sentimental stuff we've yet to see..... and we wait in dread before opening the boxes of glassware. Shame on you, Biddulphs. What on earth happened?? You're an international brand. Do the right thing and hold yourselves accountable for this shocking (and frankly very upsetting) and costly experience. The hero of the day was a gentlemen called Sipho who delivered the truck and its contents to us, himself in horror and embarrassment at the mess his colleagues in JHB had made (he wasn't part of the original move, just did the Cape Town stint and took photographs of all the damage). This is not befitting your brand. And don't dare wave an indemnity form in our faces.
What a superb experience! Not only did they knock the socks off anyone else in terms of price, but their online process was so swift and speedy it made Clicks look like dinosaurs. Delivery happened well within the advised timeline, in less than 48 hours.
