I attended a women's conference at Mopanie Lodge from October 10 to October 12, 2025, and I want to address several serious issues we encountered during our stay. Although we were informed that check-in would begin at 3:00 PM, we were forced to wait over three hours because our rooms were not ready. Room number 3 was unacceptable; it lacked blinds, making it completely visible from the outside. Additionally, the shower was poorly designed, as it had no cover over the drain, leaving an open invitation for insects to enter. The service for our meals was equally disappointing. We faced prolonged delays, and when the food finally arrived, it was ice-cold and did not match the menu we had agreed upon. To add insult to injury, despite being promised exclusive access to the facility for our conference, three buses arrived with over 300 schoolchildren from various schools, which disrupted our event. I documented these issues with numerous pictures as evidence. It is crucial that these matters be addressed to ensure better experiences for future guests.

My son went there for a school camp 21 Sept 2024. His silver dish (not a weapon ) was confiscated and never returned when he left the premises. Trying to get an answer has turned into an extreme sport. I've called and sent WhatsApp messages.

A zero rating from us. Mopani lodge has a spa by the name of Lapologa Day Spa. This is false adverti*****t. What they have advised on the Lapologa Day Spa page on facebook is all lies. When we entered their gate they do not even have the Spa boards for directions. As you enter their door it does not look like a spa. Their environment and rooms are not clean and look very old. Their rooms are very dark and not inspiring for a massage relaxation. The towels and gowns are very dirty. They do massages on a blanket not a sheet even. The ladies that does the massages looks unexperienced with their all black attires. The owner of Lapologa day spa was called for questioning and she gives excuses for the poor service we were about to receive. She was expecting to be paid R1700 for 4 people, R350 each for massages at such a not satisfying place. They were playing a non comforting music with a mini speaker. We were expecting to receive a champagne as a welcome drink but got a wine instead, in normal glasses not wine/champagne glasses. We did not see the swimming pool as advertised and their phamplets does not have what we saw. Their welcome area is really not welcoming at all. We were informed not to swipe for the service but to bring cash in hand, we payed to secure the booking and was told no refund. WE WERE SHOCKED!!!. Lapologa Day Spa at Mopani Lodge must just close down if not ready to service good people like us...

Good day, During February 2019, Isha Foundation which is a non-profit religious organisation, made a booking for September 2019 at Mopani Lodge. Mopani Lodge requested a 50% deposit and Isha Foundation paid this deposit during April 2019. The invoice from Mopani Lodge clearly states that the deposit will not be refunded if the booking is cancelled 10 days before date of arrival. Due to unforseen circumstances, Isha Foundation cancelled in writing during June 2019, giving Mopani Lodge almost three months advanced notice of cancellation and not the requisite 10 days notice. Despite many many many requests to Mopani Lodge to refund the deposit of R85000, Mopani Lodge ignores such request. Mopani Lodge is tarnishing the hospitality industry which such dishonest practices.
