What an amazing atmosphere for just my partner and me, I absolutely love it...the ambiance, the food, just everything though...i would most definitely have another surprise date with hubby there,

High tea at the Mount Nelson is heavenly. A waiter is assigned to your table and the treats and special teas just keep flowing. Beautiful setting, generous servings and amazing staff. A great gift for someone special

Checked in on the 24th July, I was surprised for my birthday. High Tea was ok but not what is was 18 months ago. Breakfast the next morning was a disaster, shocking slow service. Had to call on management for service. For 40 min there was no waiter in sight. Only 9 guests in dining room and we all were in shock that this is a 5 star establishment. Not worth the price.

I was there for a wedding when the bride went to book in. Ten minutes after her book in time [3:10pm] she was told the room was not ready. When she asked if she could leave her wedding dress in the room at least, she was told she could leave it at reception. On insisting that she leave it in the room, we were taken there only to find that the hotel was only just starting to clean the room. If the Mount Nelson would like it's reputation for excellence to be respected, it needs to return the favour.

Good evening. So this past few occasions I experienced something rather disturbing at the Labrisa spa at The Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel. The so called manager, Victoria, treats her staff like trash! She pretends to be all sweet and nice in front of clients but behind the scenes she's a real *****! Not once, not twice, but thrice have I seen the******s break down in tears outside the spa due to her *****ing about their bad treatment to clients when they as the******s never got any complaints from the clients themselves. I've heard the******s speaking to each other about her bad treatment as well as her being racist and treating them all differently. This is just not on! I've been going to the Labrisa spa for a few years now and I've had nothing but great treatment from that spa. I truly feel that the way they treat their staff should change as this is not the way to treat any human being! We are all human and we all make mistakes, but treating your staff like trash is just not on, as they are the ones who keep your business up and running! I honestly feel that this woman should be taken to task as the Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel is well known hotel across the world and she is bad for business!

I had one of thee most horrible experience with the manager Victoria Sutcliffe at the labrisa spa, Mount Nelson I don't recommend anyone to go there she is one racist lady who doesn't give a flying cow about any of her clients she wouldn't even listen to my issue , I was told she was busy and she would only see me after 30 minutes. 50 minutes later she decides to come and speak to me and once I told her what my issue was she said it's not her problem And she won't do anything about it. After arguing with her for 15 minutes she then decide of she must now go on lunch she doesn't have time for my issues as she walked away a white lady stoped her and complained about the same thing I did , and then she told the lady well give you a free massage and helped her but she couldn't help me She has no way of speaking to anyone

I thought that I was going to wait till tomorrow morning to do this but I am unbelievably embarrassed at how the restaurant manager behaved.<br> <br> I went to a hotel were I.know that I will get good service as I require otherwise I could've went to any restaurant of our choice(baia or the table bay hotel as planned) but for some reason I chose mount bladdy Nelson, reason why I don't know.<br> 1.My bill was R900 which I waited more than 25 min for the damn food to come out. <br> 2. Waiter was quite good but the \well trained"white restaurant manager made me feel like I'm in Europe were blacks are treated like shit & everybody turns a blind eye. <br> 3. Restaurant manager's job is to make sure that every paying quest @the restaurant is attended to and their happy with the service"
