The worst dialysis experience for a private instituition. You have to pay to attend sessions here through medical aid but they are worse than Government. Managers walk around that have experience while minimal staff they have works like dogs and neglects patients because its either lunch time or home time. They are pathetic and dont put patients first

Been a patient for more than 10 years there's is nothing frustrating than the unit that doesn't communicate with their patients especially when the is an issue that impacts patients directly Normally our session starts at 11am when we got there we waited 2 hours outside no one is cumin to inform us about what is happening some patients are sick they are just Der to dialys no one is attending to them . What ever they were busy with inside it was equal important with the patient as well . They had a problem with water pipe they had to wait for technician while waiting why didn't inform us that there is a delay they just kept quiet they only informed the important ppl that they know other patients like me was never informed coz I guess I'm not that important didn't know that there are VIP patients what really irritated me was there was no apology about the incident as well no sense of urgency . I'm not happy at all with the service they are constantly failing us . Name of the unit Lenasia

Avoid going to N1 city (Cape Town) National Renal Care at all costs. Nurses are not properly trained. They don't know how to do a catheter lock, instead, they FLUSH patients with Citraloc or Heparin, which should never happen, and when the patient has an adverse reaction they laugh instead of helping, yes, they laugh. If you complain about them to the management, these nurses will just victimize you. And just to mention: management doesn't care much either.

Good day, I write to you in deep dissatisfaction. This is in response to telephonic communication with Jeremy from the renal care unit at the Umhlanga Busamed Hospital with my wife, Mrs. S.M Pillay. She was advised by him that would not be able to get treatment on any other day except Thursday. She was not feeling well and had missed her appointment/treatment due to this and wanted to go through on a different day. Jeremy had quite an abrupt conversation with Mrs. Pillay which had left her in tears and a bit emotionally damaged. The result of this has left a bad image of the business as well as the staff. She has been going to this establishment for years now and has had a good relationship with the business and its staff. Furthermore, Jeremy went on to comment that Mrs. Pillay had been paying for her treatment with fake money. She brought to his attention that the money was withdrawn from an A.T.M shortly before she had arrived for her appointment/treatment. Being in Women's month as well as so much gender-based violence etc. going on at the moment, she should not have conducted the conversation in that manner. There was no professionalism, respect, or common decency displayed towards her. By this point, I am quite sure that you would understand the level of disappointment and dissatisfaction that this has brought on not only by/to yourselves but Mrs. Pillay. At this point, an apology would be deemed fit. A disciplinary hearing should be conducted as part of your investigation into this matter. I shall be taking this further. Using social media, word of mouth, online complaint forums, etc. We feel safe to say that this would be the first and last occurrence of such. Due to the emotional scar which has been left on Mrs. Pillay and the malpractice on your part, compensation is due for this. After all, there are various other places where Mrs. Pillay could have taken her business, yet she has continued to be a loyal customer of your business for years, based on the level of service rendered, etc. Looking forward to your response. Yours sincerely, Mr. G Pillay

Since the day I started with dialysis at this unit, which have been a veeeeeeeeeeery long time ago, I have been a happy and satisfied patient/customer, even on the days when I did not feel great, much less good. The staff are outstanding, the service excellent, if only the whole of NRC could be like them, it's the home away from home, in fact, the unit has been more home to me than my own home. Thank you NRC Plumstead, keep doing what you're doing.
