I've been using Neovision for years and I'm disappointed to state that I haven't been happy with Neovision Moreleta Corner branch. I've been attempting to make a booking for an eye test and new set of glasses, I communicated to them and they promised to get back to me with time slots available to make a bookong once they have confirmed my benefits with the medical aid and communicated with the optometrist. It's been a while, since I've heard from them, the benefits were confirmed to them by the medical aid and I called Neovision directly to confirm if the details have been received. They mentioned the details have been received however they have an additional charge of R70 for my medical to send the benefits for the entire thing. I flagged this to the medical aid and they are not aware of ny additional charge to send any documentation to them. To date there hasn't been any update on the request for an appointment nor any information or atleast a holding WhatsApp message whilst I wait. I'm disappointed in all of this as the service isn't even free. The lady who took my call who mentioned to be a branch manager lacked in customer service skills as she was arrogant and rude on our call.

Extremely honest optometrist who gave me a referral to opthalmologist instead of simply giving new prescription specs which would not improve my eyesight. Optometrist then also got involved in getting an appointment as soon as possible at Paarl Public Hospital. It's great to see them going the extra mile. I will definitely return for new specs after finishing with opthalmologist. I'm very impressed with Neovision Paarl.

I had a very disappointing experience at Neovision Optometrist in Rembrandt Mall, Paarl. When I arrived, I was informed that the optometrist is still attending to another patient. Shortly thereafter, another lady arrived after me but left the practice briefly. I was then asked to take a seat while the optometrist still attending / doing an eye test with the patient who was inside. After the eye test, the optometrist came out with that patient to assist with choosing glasses. The lady who had arrived after me then returned and sat next to me. To my surprise, the optometrist proceeded to attend to this lady instead of me, even though I had arrived first. Although I had been waiting for approximately 30 minutes, after she (optometrist) assisted the other client who came after me, she collected her belongings and appeared ready to leave the practice. When I raised my concern with the reception desk and indicated that I had not been assisted, the optometrist responded by stating, “I’m on lunch ma'am.” I further explained that I had been waiting longer than the client who was assisted. I am extremely disappointed with the poor service I received after waiting for such a long time. Customers should be treated equally and with respect. If my time and service needs are not valued, I would rather take my service elsewhere.

I would like to share my experience with Neovision Optometrists – Durbanville, which has been disappointing from an administrative perspective. I booked an appointment for 11 December 2025. Prior to my appointment, I visited the practice in person so that the receptionist, Bernie, who is very pleasant and helpful, could verify my optical benefits with Discovery Medical Aid. Bernie confirmed available funds for my consultation fee. On the day of my appointment, after my consultation with Karen (the Optometrist), I proceeded to payment. At this point, the Admin Manager, Ansulize, instructed Bernie to charge me for the consultation, despite the benefits having already been verified a few days earlier. I was then charged approximately R698 for the consultation, plus the additional costs for my multifocal lenses. A few days later, once the claim was submitted, I contacted Bernie again after Discovery confirmed that the consultation fee had indeed been paid. Bernie checked internally and advised that I would need to provide my banking details for a refund, which I promptly did. On Friday, 02 January 2026, I stopped by the practice (on my to Woolies) to wish Bernie compliments of the season and also mentioned to her that the refund was still outstanding. Bernie contacted me later that afternoon and confirmed that Ansulize would process the EFT that same day. To date being the 05th Jan-26, no refund has reflected in my account. This issue is not about the money, but rather the principle. If a refund is legitimately owed to a client, it should not take weeks to be processed, nor should the client have to follow up repeatedly. I find this handling unacceptable and unprofessional. I am unsure whether other clients have experienced similar treatment, but this reflects poorly on Durbanville Neovision’s administrative standards and client care.

Extremely disappointed with the service at Neovision Century Village . I went in for my appointment on November 5th, and it is now nearly January 5th with still no sign of my glasses. The most frustrating part is the complete lack of communication. I’ve had to be the one constantly following up; they haven't provided a single proactive update. Had they not already claimed the funds from my medical aid, I would have taken my business elsewhere weeks ago. It is ridiculous to wait a two months for spectacles without any transparency. I would not recommend this branch if you value your time and communication

I guess there’s a first time for everything but I am truly disappointed in the service I received at Neovision especially for the amount we are paying for our glasses…Centurion needs get better frames and also how do you mess up an order for something that I believe you have been doing for years Now I have to come back for something that was incorrectly done on your side??? Get your act together I honestly hope that by the time I collect at Olivedale it will be correctly done

I recently had new glasses made. I have one for reading & one for distance. I wanted bifocals that meant I would have 1 set of glasses & wouldn't have to constantly switch between two or carry two. Well, I was told this was not possible. They could not even make me one pair that I could read with & watch tv in one. So once again I'm having to carry two sets & constantly switch. I've since learnt, it is indeed possible to have bifocals that allow for reading & distance all in one, but unfortunately now, thanks to Neovision, my budget is spent. Do not go to these people, they obviously don't know what they're doing & will just waste your money. I certainly won't ever use them again. With my wife needing new glasses, we'll stay well clear of them. #BlackFriday
