I would like to warn South Africans about this **** called NETCARE PLUS GAP COVER , a claim was submitted on the 27/11/2025,in December the back and forth started when I was doing a follow-up on my claim , one of their consultants Thapelo send me and email stating that a payment(claim) will be made/processed into my bank account on the 7th Jan 2025 and on their clause or benefit it states that : "Co-payments - You will be protected against upfront co-payment for each certain day procedure,like scopes or scans performed in hospital or day clinic".Last night I receive an email stating that they dont cover short-falls for procedures performed in the hospital_60010567. SOUTH AFRICANS PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR NETCARE PLUS LIES AND JOIN THESE **** LOOK FOR OTHER GAP COVERS

I'm having the worst experience with Netcare Gap Cover, I was hospitalized and medical aid didn't pay everything. I then paid from my pocket and submitted a claim, from the 20th November I'm still waiting and when I call, they say they are still busy. How long does a claim take to process?

I submitted a claim via website on 3 December and followed up via email more than 3 times, and phoned call centre more than 3 times. Do date, I still don’t have any response and the claim is still unpaid

The worst product ,mispresentation of the cover,No value for money , Agents giving wrong information twice on the accidental cover again on the gap cover its 3 years of my premiums going to waste and unfortunately I will be logging a dispute.

I submitted a claim to NetcarePlus and am currently following up on its status. Unfortunately, there has been no clear feedback or accountability. Calls are held for extended periods with no resolution, and customer service does not allow clients to speak directly to the claims department. The process is extremely frustrating and lacks transparency. At this point, the most practical option seems to be sourcing a more advanced and responsive GAP cover.

This GAP cover is by far the worst in the industry. I have submitted claims and the claims consultants (who customers are not allowed to contact) continuously request documents already sent to them. They drag the matter out until the customer is exhausted and cannot follow up anymore. Yet they keep taking their premium. I have spoked to Kagiso Mathibako at the call centre who was of no assistance and can barely communicate effectively. The claims consultant Anne is of no assistance as there is no response. I would never recommend anyone to take this GAP cover!

Useless, a waste of time and effort Read the fine print, they make every excuse not to pay you. Their process is cumbersome and inefficient, you will need to forward numerous documentation, and they never acknowledge anything, they never communicate to the patient,you will wait until your shortfall gets escalated to debt collection and you have to eventually pay the shortfall amount Absolutely useless cover!

Early August I called for a quote and spoke to a lady, she explained everything on that call and she said she will send an email with the information of the medical aid I signed up for. They started calling everyday and I explained to everyone that contacted me that I haven’t received the email they said they will said, after the call all the agent promised to come back with feedback but nothing came. Few weeks past, they called again and I asked to cancel the cover and they agreed that they will cancel but they didn’t. On Thursday last week, I got sms that they will debit whereas I have been waiting for that email. Today they debited my money, I want a refund nowww!!!!!!!!!
