We were warned not to go there but did we listen? Apparently not. We thought lets try it out and utter disappointment. 20mins of no service. The servers just completely walked past us and attended to people arriving after us. We just stood up and left. Looks nice inside but very pretentious and lacklustre.

The menu reflects 300 ml drafts, the waitrons say no longer available. The menu says two for one jugs on Sundays at limited hours, the waitrons say no longer available. Every time you go to the establishment you're told the credit card machines aren't working and you have to pay cash (is there a problem with paying merchant's fees)?! Either change the menu or make the items available. Is it too much to ask that the establishment purchases 300 ml glasses or mugs and sells the jugs at two for one as advertised?!

I was very disturbed by the service and bad rudeness and swearing at this establishment . I was put off my meal ,i had asked for extra salad dressing for a huge bowl of salad with huge attitude from George and another female manager they told me to (**** Off) and there was no owner on site they added item to our previous bill which we never ordered we will not step into this establishedment again due to the service we recieved and will mention to friend and family not to go there. kindly regards Debbie 0723136445

I do not know if NO SERVICE is considered bad. But, to me and 8 friends being avoided is horrible. Ended up leaving after calling 3 waiter/waitresses. One hid when we called the two avoided us. The lady at the entrance did not even care when we said to her no one is assisting us. We were just calling someone to wipe the table not even serve us yet.

GEORGE hits woman!!! BILL always wrong and added additional costs. Manager swears at you if you ask for your food to get warmed up! TERRIBLE PLACE!!!!!

<p>vibe was great and food was great, service was not bad... until it came to pay. Our waiter added items that we did not order as well as items he brought us in correctly. After 4 times of back and forth the Manager finally fixed it as the waiter was unable of doing it himeself. When paying the waiter had the audacity to say that the amount is incorrect as there is no tip. As I will not pay a tip for this level of service</p>

I live in the area and liked Nineteen69 from a distance and one day my boyfriend and I decided to go try it out. My word, the watron gave us menus and took the drinks order and left us for 2 full hours and never bothered to check on us, when we tried to place the food order she told us the kitchen had closed. The second time, I invited my colleagues because I wanted to have my farewell party from there, I must say that Lee, the floor manager has stinking attitude. The watrons there in general dont have the sense of urgency towards black patrons. You find them running around white patrons by they make you sit. The last straw was yesterday Sunday 12/07/2015 in the evening, restaurant wasn't that busy, The guy sat us down and I asked for the menu, 20 minutes later I was still waiting for the menu to place my order until my boyfriend was like, clearly they dont value us as customers. I so wish the 1969 Management and staff could go to the Greenside, Parktown, Rosebank, Sandton, Melrose Arch restaurant scene and learn how to treat people equally. The service sucks and I strongly warn black people to not dare go to Nineteen69.

George (floor manager) from Nineteen69 portrayed a HORRIFIC attitude and unnecessarily so. I generally have a great time when I come here. With him included. Today, was a different day. I tried to address him about it but he walked away while I was talking to him. I'm HIGHLY UNAPPRECIATIVE of that and expect better from people in the service industry. l would like to return and I certainly will.
