Extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Oxford University Press. I have been trying for weeks to obtain a refund that is rightfully due to me. I was initially sent from pillar to post with no clear guidance. Eventually, I was asked to provide my banking details, which I did promptly. Since then, complete silence. No acknowledgment. No confirmation. No update. Nothing. This matter affects my child’s academics, which makes the lack of urgency even more concerning. The level of disregard and poor communication is unacceptable for an established academic publisher that parents are expected to trust. At this point, it feels like customers are only attended to when public complaints are made. I am now escalating this matter publicly in the hope that someone competent will take ownership and resolve it.

I have had a very disappointing experience with OUP. First a book on "print on demand" is suddenly "out of print". I wonder how that can be. A refund is promised, but nothing happens. And when the refund is queried it still takes ages to process. Now - almost 8 weeks after the initial order and payment - I am still waiting to have this matter resolved. Very bad service.

I received a call that I had luckily been shortlisted to attend an interview at the company. The person that called Chevaun, kept repeating that she had called me the Friday but couldn't get ahold of me- she expressed her apologies and asked that I attend an interview the next day - I complied and asked that she send me the job spec and details - I never received these so I assumed they changed their mind and on with my life I went. The next day early in the morning the same ...person.... called and asked that the interview be virtual - I explained sure , however it is an inconvenience now seeing as I didn't receive the email the first time . She then said " WELL then there must be a problem with YOUR email" I explained that there was nothing wrong with my email as I had used it all day an even that morning - the tone of the conversation went completely left and she became VERY aggressive, which i explained to her and she just got more and more aggressive. I then informed her I don't wnt to work for a company that has people that think its ok to speak to potential candidates like that and act like that on the phone - it could have been resolved with "Oh sorry about that wonder what happened if you can still make it I will forward you the link again - please just confirm" but NO, Not Chevaun. I implore that if your calls are recorded that that call be listened to and Chevaun receive some telephone etiquette training and maybe some emotional intelligence causes because it really isn't a good look to have HR be so nasty an aggressive.

I recently bought a book via Takealot and only noticed certain pages were blank when it was too late to return the book. I contacted OUP and asked if they could e-mail me pdf copies of the missing pages. They responded very quickly and sent me a new copy of the book. Very impressed. Thanks.

I purchased ebooks for my son's online schooling and could not download it to his pc. I downloaded to mine. Afterwards I realized my ADE was did not have an ID and I could not transfer it to my son's pc. After dozen's of calls and emails, I got no help from them. Only an automated message saying they can't help. I must try adobe. Adobe does not give support to people that uses free software and directed me to a forum, which did not help. I then contacted the publisher, Oxford University Press Southern Africa , which just sent me back to Takealot. I have NOT finished registering the books and still need to submit the Vendor ID. I am thus at a loss on why they can't cancel it and send it to another pc. I do know that I have never had any problems with fiction books and easily got books deleted and sent to other devices. This of course is an educational book and they know I'll have to buy it again. I can't believe between Takealot, ADE and OUP they are very unwilling to assist me. The book I'll have to purchase and can't bypass OUP, but maybe I can buy a secondhand book. Takelot account I can just close.

Bought an English Isizulu dictionary in June 2018. Recently looking up the word poison my wife realized about 18 pages were missing An email to them elicited an almost immediate response and as one would expect from a reputable company, and often that is not the case, they immediately arranged for and had delivered to my door a new copy

Again Oxford University Press is Out of Stock with it's Grade R Workbooks.. From last year November 2018 they have had no stock for their Term One & Term Two Books. Once again their horrible customer care just replies with a simple email "no due date on the system" what type of answer is that on a question of "When will the books be ready"? What are students and schools suppose to do. Is the staff of Oxford University Press real so incompetent that they can't see what amount of books was order previously and just keep that in stock for the following year or term? Are they real so incompetent that they can't see when the stock levels are low so that they can print more books before everything is sold out? Its scary to think that they still have't improved on such basic s****s.
