I've experienced the slowest, annoying, dissatisfactory vehicle repair service at VW Palm Motors in White River with the workshop despite my car being there for a full week since 13 March 2023. I have been giving authorization for the parts replacement I was told of and I still don't have my car back to date (almost the end of the second week now). I was initially told of one fault which I authorized to have fixed and the relevant part replaced. Days later they called and informed me of another part which I still authorised to fix, and they assured me that would be all. Just when I expected completion, they called and informed me of another fault which is now different from the initial one (and I was previously told that this and everything else in the car was checked and found to be 100% fine), this is now the 17th March 2023, still, I authorised to have it fixed. Monday the 20th went by and nothing was done, Wednesday the 22nd went by and nothing was done. Thursday 23rd March 2023 at 16:49 I was told they forgot to include and order another part which was required, and they can only get it next week Wednesday (29 March 2023) which implies a 3rd week of my car being in their workshop. Should you find yourself with car troubles in White River, think twice before taking it to Palm Motors for repairs, the service is disappointing and incompetent, there is no sense of urgency 🚮 the experience I have is bad, bad, bad!!!

My husband and i was looking for quotations for the new VW T-cross at different VW dealers. On 5th October, we created a lead on facebook and got contacted by Palm Motors White River the next day. Veon Whittaker called me and ill quote what she said "i see that you are interested in a VW T-cross, i will give you the opportunity to check if you qualify and also check what the installment would be". I agreed because i needed a quotation and was also curious about what the repayment would be. She proceeded to solicit personal info from me because I thought they needed it in order to quote me. Little did i know she was actally creating a Wesbank finance application on my behalf on their side without my consent..How unethical of them to take advantage of unsuspecting and vulnerable clients!!!!!! When i eventually found a VW deal from another dealer, that suited my needs perfectly, i proceeded to apply for Wesbank finance on their portal and had experienced some issues on the sydtem because Palm Motors had already created an application for me as if i had accepted their quotation and had given them consent to proceed with the sale. None of the other dealers did this when i approached them for a quotation. Palm Motors have not truthfully disclosed the reason for soliciting my personal info and further took advantage of my personal information to gain a potential sale!!! Their unethical processes should be investigated and they should be fined for non compliance to consent management and NCA laws.

I bought a used ford focus st from Palm motors Whiteriver last year which I took delivery of early March 2019. In April the car started illuminating check engine light and sometimes switching of when I stop. Took it in for check up then I was told the car had shrunk it's fuel tank and some gas nozzles by the tank is blocked thus causing the engine light, idling and shrinking fuel tank. A new tank and nozzle had to be ordered from Germany and that took me up to June not in the comfort of what I was paying for. It was replaced in June. The engine light started again in July and now with a little smell of petrol fumes. I took the car back to Ford for inspection. Same results, nozzle blocked and tank is starting to shrink. The service advisors at Ford advised me to return the vehicle back to where I bought it from because it will repeatedly do the same thing as the vehicle is not meant to be driven on dusty or gravel roads, and that's where I stay. I approached the dealer asked him to take his car back and instead he suggested I wait while they search another car for me. I waited until late September to no communication then drove the car to the dealership and left it there with the salesman. Their lawyers sent me letters to come collect the car late November or they will charge storage cost because my car has been long fixed. Well I took the car which in the 3rd of January it stopped in the middle of traffic, engine light and no idling. The dealership came and fetched it and there I decided no more, it was enough, this car was to explode 1 day with me inside. From March 2019 till today I was extremely inconvenienced in such a way that my business collapsed. The dealership refuses to terminate the lease contract hence the manufacturers of the car specifically said car not to be driven on dirt road. The finance house wants their installments for a car a merely drove for 4 months and has endless life threatening defects. I need assistance or intervention so that the horror can end, and I can start from scratch

On the 8th Jan 2018 i got my car towed into Palm Motors VW White River after it refused to start. They quoted me R7000 just to strip the car which i gave them a gi ahead for. One month down the line i still didnt know what was wring with my car except that its cylinderhead has been removed and sent to engineers for check at a cost of R3000. Each time i call them to inquire what has been found to be the problem i was told they are still waiting for feedback from their engineering service company. Eventualling early march i was informed valves and other parts need to be replaced at an additional cost of R67 000 including labour. I gave them a gi ahead amd my car was only ready for collection second last week of March 2018. Collected the car on the 29th March 2018 and drove it to Midrand and guess what the engine light came on and the car started vibrating wildly and i immediately telephoned them...as i was speaking the vibration stopped and engine light went off and they indicated should that prrsist i must have the car booked into one of the nearest VW. Late in the afternoon i drove to Limpopo with the car not problem. On my way i had to check car oil and when i do that i normally remove the vw engine plastic cover to blow off any dust before openning the oil cap. Suprisingly i find the engine breather and pentrol injector lines secured by cable ties as oppose to their normal hose clips. I immediately took a picture and emailed Palm Motors of the ****ty workmanship they have done. The service person Reneace Winkle that i was communicating with inducated she will let the service manager call me and the service manager Shane never did until u called him 3 days later where he indicated it was their mistake they had ordered the part and it had not arrived on time hence it never got fitted and thats why the car had cable ties and that i can have that replaced at any VW and they will either pay that VW directly or refund me. It was dissappointing considering i oaid them over R70k and no quality check was done on my car and i was asked to come collect the car despite other parts not having being replaced with correct ones. I proceeded with my trip to Limpopo and on arrival had the car unused for a day On the 31st March 2018 when i was in Polokwane the car just refused to start again after i had parked it to do shopping.i called Palm motor who refered me to VW Roadside assist and that i should settle VW Assist intervention at my cost including whatever repair that need to be done unless only if the problem is related to what they have worked on. VW polokwane found the car to be misfiting and having a faulty Petrol pump and charcoal fikter which they replaced and the car was functional. They also replaced the engine breather line that VW Palm motors forgot to replace. VW palm motors replaced the breather line on the basis that VW Palm motors will pay for it. When the car was ready WV palm motor had not paid VW Polokwane therefore i had to pay for the breather line replacement out of my pocket as otherwise my car could not be released . I submitted the invoice to VW Palm Motor white river and spoken to Shane the service manager who also agreed he will reimburse me. It is one month since submitting the claim to them and still i have not received my refund ...each time i call them they tell me they are awaiting for their superior to authorize the refund. VW Palm motor customer service sucks and need sorting out. Im sharing this so that the public can know what a bad dealershio is VW Palm Motors Ehite River. I would not wish anyone to go through their ****ty service

on the 8th of Jan 2018, I took my car in for service since it was due for the 30000km service, add on the job card was a request that my clutch be checked out as there was a smell coming from there. To my surprise I received a call stating that my car was ready for collection even though I was informed that having my clutched checked would require that my car be booked in for a minimum of two days of which I had no problem with. After collecting the car I asked why wasn't the car inspected I was told that I should actually wait for the car to physically stop (mechanically) or for the car not to allow gears first, than I will call in @ VW Palm Motors White River then they will provide me the contact details for the towing services who will tow my car to there dealership only then they'd be able to check what is actually wrong. My greatest concern was that once the car has a machenical failure it would be hard for them to detact whether it was a factory fault or I was the negligent party to the fault.

On the 12 December 2016, I took my VW Passat for a service at Palm Motors, Whiteriver, Mpumalanga. One of Palm Motors driver bumped my car on the left rear corner of the bumper, damaging the shinning silver lining and peeling off the paint.

Ms Andile Thabethe inspected my car prior service, she informed me that one of Palm Motors drivers had damaged my vehicle on out-inspection and she called the Manager who then promised to buy the broken and fix the damage at no cost of course as it is their fault.

Unfortunately, I have been calling Palm Motors Whiteriver for fixing of my vehicle to date and I'm sent from pillar to post.

Last week I enquired on a used VW Jetta on Carfind. Nobody contacted me and I decided to contact the Dealership in White River. The car was advertised but wasn't in a sellable condition as it is a week later and it is still in the workshop. After several attempts to get clarity on the situation - I made the phone calls and everybody promise to get back to me , but nobody does! The Manager Casper does not even answer my calls or try to return it???? This is surely the worst customer service I have seen in my life!!!
