Panchos Observatory: WOW. Imagine being told by your waiter that they can't cut your food (to share) because the people are too busy... And not even bringing us a knife to cut ourselves after we asked politely twice... and proceeded to ignore us.

The best Mexican food in Cape Town
The best Mexican Restaurant in Cape Town! The food is delicious, the service is good and the prices are reasonable. The vibe in the restaurant is great to celebrate any occasion and they have a special venue if you have a private function.

Good food, great service - Panchos 127 Lower Main Road, Observatory, Cape Town
On Friday, 16.10.2020, we dined there, celebrating my daughter's 14th birthday. I had not been there in many years - but will definitely be back soon. What unbelievable service; what beautiful decor - the restaurant gives you a true Mexican experience. My kids were blown away and the whole family enjoyed the food. it was exquisite. I cannot wait to go there again!

On Friday, 16.10.2020, we dined there, celebrating my daughter's 14th birthday. I had not been there in many years - but will definitely be back soon. What unbelievable service; what beautiful decor - the restaurant gives you a true Mexican experience. My kids were blown away and the whole family enjoyed the food. it was exquisite. Panchos Restaurant Observatory....Beware of the Owner....
Well.....it was great and the service was great....food, ambience, and service was excellent!! Thembi was absolutely amazing!!!! So why the bad rating??? The owner Richard was soooo rude and basically sent me very very rude messages threatening to sue me as well as accuse my "trusted friends and family" of deliberately short paying a bill. Here's what happened....it was my birthday and we booked the top section for approximately 30 people. When the bill came....people paid and I paid the final total, after asking the waitress to confirm and I would swipe and settle the balance.....(which included a very generous tip). Long story short....they called me later saying there's a slight short payment and I agreed to have a look, check it out and if error on my side, i would pay as the last thing I would want is for Thembi to pay........ Then the rude threatening sms's started coming from Richard..... WOW!!! What a customer experience!!! I will NEVER EVER set foot there again because of Richard. He humiliated me with words.....threatening me..... I resolved the issue with Thembi and the Manager (they made up for all the unpleasantness), but the taste in my mouth is way more sour than the Margarita......... Guess some of the staff can teach him a thing or two about treating people with respect!!!!

Incredible Evening
<p>Just a big thank you to Panchos and their staff. Went thier for my birthday.....food was amazing, staff were incredible and the mangeress/hostess was absolutely fantastic. Can recommend it to everyone of all ages.</p>

We celebrated by daughter's birthday at Panchos on Friday 7/8/15. We got there at 7pm and left at around 9pm. Our waiter by Byrone. He was very informative regarding the menu and drinks. He went out of his way to ensure that my daughter's birthday was an enjoyable one. I was allowed to take our own birthday cake and candles, which was elegantly transferred onto a plate and everyone sang Happy Birthday. Byrone, you really made my daughter's birthday special. THANK YOU!
