Dear Telkom Customer Care and Amazon Prime Video Support, I am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding the 3-month Amazon Prime Video promotion that was advertised as part of my Telkom 5G Internet 40 Mbps contract. When my contract was activated, Telkom sent me an email informing me that I qualify for three months of Prime Video and that I should look out for a second email to activate the promotion. However, I never received the activation email or any activation link. I have contacted Telkom and Prime Video support multiple times (more than four occasions), and each company has referred me back to the other, stating that the issue is not their responsibility. This has left the matter unresolved. Since this promotion formed part of the Telkom contract offering, I request that the issue be resolved as soon as possible by either: Sending the correct activation link for the Prime Video promotion, or Manually activating the three-month Prime Video benefit on my account. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate the complaint to the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) as well as the Consumer Protection authorities. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and provide a solution within a reasonable timeframe. Kind regards, Mervin Skeef

Dear Management of Prime Video, I believe you have an excellent product with reference to your adverti*****ts. Please follow up on reviews of TELKOM Prime Video. At the moment customers are complaining that they must pay for a service that is not provided to them. I will suggest that Prime Video must withdraw from TELKOM. TELKOM gives Prime Video a very bad name !

I cancelled my subscription in January and received a confirmation email at that time. To my surprise, I was debited again on 23 August without any prior notice. This is unacceptable. Please cancel this subscription immediately and process a full refund for the unauthorised debit. I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of direct support channels and the absence of timely responses to emails. Kindly confirm cancellation and refund without delay.

Not even half a star!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Paid my subscription, as I do always....... Now I can get onto it on my phone and not my laptop!!! ***??? Had endless issues with this app and they are always ready to take my money!!!

No response to customer support request. Unauthorized deductions made from two accounts in one household. Subscription terminated by provider while monthly subscription was paid. No call center number available to get this sorted out.

Good day, I am writing this email out of sheer frustration with Prime Video. Despite setting up a specific debit date for my subscription, your platform continues to deduct funds from my account whenever it pleases. This blatant disregard for the agreed-upon arrangement has resulted in declined transactions and has pushed my account into arrears. This is completely unacceptable. Your disorganization and failure to follow a simple billing agreement is not only inconvenient, it's financially damaging. Because of this, I am cancelling my subscription immediately. Furthermore, I will actively discourage everyone I know from ever signing up with Prime Video. I now understand the warnings I received before subscribing. Many people have complained about unauthorized deductions from Prime, and I will be adding my voice to theirs — including a public complaint on HelloPeter for this ongoing nonsense. Sort yourselves out.
