If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Capitec began with a bang. Everything about it pulled us in, in droves. Excellent experience. Then, it seemed to get too big, and did not add resources to support the ever growing need of more and more customers. eg the queues at ATMs is not only a joke, it has caused a number of people to move back to their old banks - - the ones we couldn't stand. They clearly need a growth plan, starting with enough ATMs, AND enough cash in them.
Immediately and consistently responsive, on time, thoroughly professional, calm!, no dumb question too dumb, everything that Telkom is not. All my neighbours love them too. Today I am totally Telkom free. What a relief.
There should be an option for no stars. Yesterday I replaced my cat's SERESTO flea and tick collar. Within less than an hour, his hips and back legs were almost lame. He was walking with a typical post-anaesthesia gait. I called the Distributor, they never got back to me after a few tries. I called Bayer, I was looking for an antidote urgently. Eventually reached their Animal Health, eventually reached a person who had not left the company, no clear answer re antidote. Vet said it should wear off by today. No change. Nothing about this possible side effect in the package insert, I found it by googling.
I returned a pair of sneakers about ten days after I bought them. They asked me why I was returning them, I said They do not fit properly. No more questions or discussion, they gave me my money back right away. That's the way it is meant to be. Great stuff, Sportsmans Warehouse
My sandals broke. I had expected such a rugged product to last for years. They replaced the sandals quickly when they acknowledged they could not be mended. That's the way it's meant to be! and so often isn't. Bravo, Tsonga.
Always outstanding service. They deliver and pick up returns when they say they will. They answer queries promptly and clearly. Just as good as Amazon :)
After 7 days of no phone line, here is what they told me now by Messenger: Hi Jill, your fault has been link to a cable fault in your area. At this stage we have not repair date. Communication will follow as soon as there is update on the way forward. ^Frank NO REPAIR DATE!!! While I pay every day for their service
I spend far too much money on Woolworths food. But let's face it, it is the best quality and freshest food around. Last week I went to my nearest branch and the ice cream freezer was out of order, again. Empty, again. Hand-written sign on it. The manager tells me there is some dispute that Woolworths is having with the freezer people. I moan on Facebook. Many days later I get a call from The Manager. Who goes into lengthy detail re the dispute re the freezer. I lost it. I don't usually lose it. "Why can't WW get a working freezer and have their dispute somewhere else?" I almost scream. "Do you think I give a damn what the problem is, or that as you now tell me it's not that easy to "just" requisition a replacement freezer? You are telling me a multi-billion rand company keeps a dead freezer on the floor for what now is MONTHS, while you also tell me what the process is to get a new freezer??? I don't CARE what the process is. I just paid the meter chap and now I have to go to another WW, again...." The poor woman was dumbstruck. "You know what I suggest you do?" I asked her, "I suggest you go to your manager, or your manager's manager, and ask him/her what he/she wants you to say to the irate customers like me when they want to know how a wealthy company has the same broken freezer on the floor - in a TINY store where you have to shuffle sideways half the time - for months on end. Ask what they want you to tell the customer". She was clearly out of her depth. She was clearly not a shred of a manager, as has none of 4 of them been at this particular store. And that was the end of that. No resolution. And while I am moaning, why can't they unpack and stock their shelves before and after opening and closing? They don't want to pay for the extra time? So we all have to climb over crates at all times. I can't wait for the day when I fall, and I am yea far from falling. Whereupon I will retire to Italy with a nurse on my huge insurance payout. Woolworths, you are warned.
