I went to renew my vehicle licence this morning, and despite having sufficient funds in my credit card account, when I tried to pay, it said 'insufficient funds' I them transferred money from my cheque account to my daughter, and she could then pay. From there we went to the pharmacy to get medicine, and again the card macine said 'insufficient funds' which was impossible as there was enough funds in the account. My daughter paid. We then tried to draw money from the ABSA ATM, and also got the message 'insufficient funds'. The BIG problem now is, the R1000 I tried to withdraw at the ATM went off my account and I did NOT get the money!! The amount at the chemist ALSO went off my bank in spite of the message of 'insufficient funds' - so my daughter and I paid double for the meds. I phoned the bank about both the issues, but NO help. I am a pensioner and have been de*****ed by ABSA for R1665. I will now have to change banks. It was really an awful experience....no one even tried to help resolve this.
We had a home loan/ bond with Absa and sold the property mid 2024- the bond was paid off in full. November 2024 I saw that the insurance premium on the bond was still going off my bank account. I went to the Absa branch in Woodlands mall and cancelled the debit order- documentation in the form of 'Stop Payment Instruction' was given to me by the bank. December 2024 the debit order again went off my account in spite of having stopped it at the bank. January 2025 it went off again but luckily bounced. I just wonder whether they will reimburse me for the December debit order that went off my account in spite of having cancelled it?
After having been with PPS for 45 years, I now had to cancel all my PPS products due to exceptional poor service and unhelpfulness. They used to be an excellent firm, but sadly not anymore.
We have moved house, and have had all the hardware installed to just transfer our account with Vox Telecom from the old address to the new- whih actually is just next door to our previous address. I emailed Vox to request the transfer date. They sent the request number to me, which I can provide. No transfer was done on the requested date, so we have been without fibre internet for days now. And the debit order went off as usual from my bank account. I have contacted them 4 times yesterday, with no response. Today I was cut off halfway through the call. We will be changing our service provider. 😡 I wonder if we will get a refund for the time without fibre. Client service terrible with no feedback!
I have just received a message from MTN Highveld Mall in Witbank that if I want to add another phone to my 35 year old existing contract with MTN, I have to pay R52 574 upfront! Fifty two thousand Rand upfront???!!!
I would like to let the Emalahleni municipality know that I will be closing my medical practice due to them. 7 People will lose their jobs due to their dishonest rates. Our electricity meter has not been in working order for many years, and we get exorbitant accounts every month. We do not even have geysers. All the people working here are breadwinners, who will mow be without jobs due to your greed. It will be on your conscience before God.
Excellent service at the Saveways Witbank Vodacom shop! Thanks!
I have had a cellphone contract with MTN for more than 30 years. This past week I wanted to get a phone for my husband on my existing contract- it turned out to be impossible. Firstly I was told that fraud was a problem in my case. After a great deal of effort from my side II got the documentation that I am not a fraud ( my surname apparently was an issue- I am a doctor and is registered at HPCSA under my maiden name, but my ID and everything else is on my married name) The service and attitude was apalling. Especially from the male oerson working at the MTN shop in Highveld Mall Witbank. I eventually got a phone from Vodacom, whose staff were really wonderful and helpful.
